This was the most wonderful surprise experience. We live in Stiffkey and did a lovely coastal walk on an autumn Sunday afternoon. We had 45 minutes to kill before our bus home and couldn't find anywhere for tea and came across this small cafe with the most delightful staff. The tea was served in china cups and the cakes - homemade - were delicious and the portions huge. This is now going to be our regular tea stop,.

Wow! That's all I can say! This is my second review of this fantastic Cafe and the ever so delightful Jim. I cannot rate this cafe or his service highly enough! My little slice of heaven. Everytime I visit I am greeted like an old friend. If you are in the area, this is one to try. Kindest regards.

We had lunch here. We were recommended the pumpkin, chickpea and spinach curry and it was amazing. Freshly made by Sam 20 minutes ago. Followed by the most amazing slab of coffee cake and a gluten free chocolate bun. Jim and Sam were so welcoming and friendly so if you are in the area, give it a try. It is well worth it!

This little place, hidden away, is fantastic for service and the milky coffee and scones are to die for...Jim kindly lent us a knive for our takeaway scones - Can't wait to bring it back along with my partner as we were both invited back by Jim...which was just lovely...I could have chit chatted all day..and it was interesting to discuss religion, church, life in a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere...wonderful...

Stumbled across this cafe a week ago whilst on holiday, like all the other reviews it certainly doesn't disappoint. Being on holiday cake was allowed and it was delicious, a very generous slice of Victoria Sponge for me and a rocky road for hubby. From the minute I ordered and got talking to Jim I knew I had made the right decision. Jim is a lovely man and immediately makes you feel welcome.Loved talking to him and felt that we could of chatted all day. Unfortunately we weren't able to go back as they are only open a couple of days a week, but would love a Cafe TMC and Jim to serve in my neck of the woods. Excellent set up, keep doing what you are doing you have a fantastic place and very reasonable as well.

You would be forgiven for passing by this amazing little unassuming cafe that sits nestled away from the road in a Methodist Church in Blakeney. If you do decide to pass it by you will be missing out on so much. Go in and spend some time in the company of one of the nicest and funniest people you will ever meet. Jim is that ray of sunshine on an otherwise grey and dismal day. He makes you smile without trying and you could sit and listen all day to his amusing quips. The scones I am told by my husband are awesome and the rest of the cakes - all homemade- looked so scrummy. Being on a 'stupid' diet all the delightful treats on offer were off limits to me, but the wonderful lady in the kitchen managed to make cheese and ham look really appetising on skewers with tomato and cucumber. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff of Cafe TMC and it is ten times better than the more expensive cafes that you find in Blakeney and other villages. DO NOT MISS OUT. The only bad thing about Cafe TMC ? It is only open Saturday, Sunday and Monday.

Following a meander along the glorious Blakeney Harbour on Monday September 2nd, I stumbled across the best cafe this side of the English channel! Great service, great food (amazing scones) and a fantastic atmosphere. The delightful gentleman who served us makes this place what it is... a small slice of heaven. What a charmer. All of this at such a welcoming price. Would happily have paid more to experience all of the above again. God bless.

Agree with the previous posts, this is a gem. If you prefer to take your break in a quiet courtyard cafe rather than at the car park tea bar this is for you. You will be well fed and watered and royally entertained by Jim and his crew. As if that isn’t enough it’s excellent value too. It’s tucked away but just aim for the Harbour Room and you can’t miss it.

We visited having been told good things about this cafe, and we were not disappointed. Lovely, friendly service from the moment we entered. Very cute cafe inside and seating outside on a lovely street just away from the main busy area of the village. They only had 2 small cheese scones left so they quickly offered to bake a new batch for us while we had some tea. No way to explain how good these delicious hot scones are - you just have to go and try them for yourself! The cheese and chutney sandwich was delicious too. All very cheap for such a popular Norfolk spot. Highly recommend you stop here for some tea, cake and lunch. Next time I'm back in Blakeney this will be our first stop! Thank you for making us feel so welcome. Also good to remember it's cash only and they take donations as tips, so bring change.

In need of a refreshing drink and bite to eat today after a long (and hot!) walk and this cafe really fulfilled that need. Greeted by a very attentive gentleman who really couldn't do enough for us. Impeccable service. We had (the best) cheese scones, coffee cake, bakewell tart - all delicious, freshly baked and very reasonably priced. Others in the cafe were having soups, sandwiches etc - varied menu. There was a lady behind the scenes icing a new batch of cakes for the quickly emptying cake counter!! It was evident they were a very efficient team in a busy cafe. Definitely worth a visit and we will without a doubt return to this brilliant little hidden gem cafe when we next visit Blakeney. Thank you Jim and Sam for a very refreshing pit stop.

Stopped off at the tea room on a boiling hot August Sunday because everywhere else in the village seemed to be fully booked. We were very glad we did as the warm welcome and lovely sandwiches and cake were well worth the extra few steps uphill from the overcrowded harbour. If we’re in Blakeney again we’ll definitely return to this lovely tea room.

Set within the Methodist Chapel meeting hall with parking and tables out front. Soup and sandwiches, yummy cakes and the best ever bake well are served. In North Norfolk on holiday here last year and it was superb so decided to look it up again. Had the most delicious light lunch so much choice too. The prices for Blakeney are very cheap as it’s a charitable non profit making cafe run by the church. It’s a bit off the main drag at the top of the high st that runs uphill from the harbour. Just remember to have cash as it has no card facility. Staff were so friendly and couldn’t do enough. My wife and I will definitely be going back when next in town.

Stopped for lunch as they had gluten-free/dairy free options for hubby. My ham sandwich was lovely - bread was fresh and the ham was thick cut and tasty. Hubby asked if his smoked bacon sandwich on gluten-free bread could be toasted, and they were more than happy to oblige. Both accompanied by a fresh side salad. I had the Norfolk shortcake and hubby was delighted with the GF/DF Apple & cinnamon cake. Very friendly staff and a nice little courtyard to enjoy the sun. We will return when we walk in this area again.

Loved coming here. Such a friendly welcome and amazing food and brilliant prices. I loved the warm feel and the fact I could stay here for as long as I wanted. No pressure to move and clear the seats. How refreshing. The food was the best I’ve tasted in a long time. It genuinely felt like the cake had been baked by my grandma which is saying something! Nobody bakes like her!!

Having been a regular customer of Cafe TMC we returned again today and were taken by surprise at the lovely improved courtyard with planters and solar lights beautiful path and outdoor seating with large red umbrella. Inside lovely red tablecloths which set off the fresh daffodils on each table. The menu had a choice of 3 fresh homemade soups and the spicy parsnip was delicious. My husband had the pulled pork and apple sauce in a warm bun which he thought was wonderful! All made by Rachel. The Norfolk tart and coffee cake we had afterwards we also delicious. All items on the menu very reasonably priced. Sam and Lillian added to the warm welcome, that felt like we were eating in someone's home. It certainly is, 'the little cafe with a big heart'.

Walking round Blakeney after a trek along the Marshes we came across Cafe TMC and thought lets give it a try, what an excellent decision. We shared a piece of homemade fruit shortcake, wish i'd ordered one each !! Excellent value, one cake two hot drinks for about £5, see where £5 gets you in Costa or Starbucks. When we departed a member of staff was playing trains on the floor with a young visitor, that's how to make people really welcome.

Everywhere else was on the point of closing (Sunday at 3.45pm) but we found this cafe down a side-street. We were welcomed with beaming smiles when I asked if they were still open for business (they close at 5.00pm) and it was one of the warmest welcomes I have ever experienced. The decor is a shade 'basic' but the home-made cakes are delicious and there are books to borrow in a bookcase on a side wall. All the patrons were friendly without being excessive - I have to confess I have never been personally attracted to any 'official' religions, but if I WERE to join any congregation, this is exactly what I would expect it to be like: an amazingly warm and homely feel, in the best possible way. The bacon butty was pretty good and the tea and coffee were fine, too. Recommended on all levels.

A few years ago we came across a friendly café right at the top of the High Street, past the Deli, in Blakeney but since then had not been able to locate it. Yesterday, although we'd just had a sandwich lunch we continued on our search and did find it - open again after a building renovation. We just couldn't resist eating there and had tea and homemade cakes - yummy - and yes the café was just as welcoming and friendly. I think TMC stands for The Methodist Church as the Café is housed in a Blakeney Methodist Church building - possibly the hall. The aim is to offer a resource for the community of Blakeney, north Norfolk's visitors and residents. Tables are both inside and outside in their courtyard. The café is run by staff and volunteers, everything is very reasonable priced. Cakes, scones, cream teas and light lunches such as sandwiches served with salad garnish or bacon sandwiches are homemade and served all day. Teas, coffees, squash, soft drinks, water or hot chocolate are also available. A toilet is also available for café customers.

We visited this tiny lovely little tucked away cafe after a long walk in the blazing sunshine. This is a haven of tranquility. It is within the very small church hall and run by volunteers. The cakes are absolutely delicious. I had the bakewell tart and my friend had the lemon cake with little easter eggs on top. A big pot of tea, served with a pot of hot water. The toilets are clean and wheelchair/child/baby friendly. The volunteers are particularly nice and we really enjoyed meeting the female vicar and a couple of the congregation. This is one place you don't need a reservation for in Blakeney and it is great value for money and you should include it on your visit.

What a quirky and unusual place. Great food, fantastic idea and unusual location in a church. This place prides itself on conversation and cake. If you want a chat about anything, the staff are keen and happy to chat. Equally, if you just want some time by yourself, they will leave you alone. In a place which doesn't have any tearooms, this is a sweet little place offering a good food and friendship. Never seen anything like this before and would like to see staff as friendly as this in Costa or Starbucks.

We have visited Cafe TMC several times whilst in Norfolk. It's based in an atmospheric old chapel building although the cafe area has been brought up to date and offers a very friendly welcome. Its open during the summer months on Friday – Sunday throughout the season as well as Bank Holiday Mondays and every Monday during school holidays. We have sampled several of the sandwich options, the crab sandwich, the crab of which is locally sourced, and the beetroot humus options being particularly tasty as are the homemade cakes. Every time we've been the staff have been really friendly and chatty and given us a warm welcome. All in all well worth a visit for lunch, cream tea or snacks if you're visiting or walking through Blakeney. Non pretentious, friendly and good value for money.

We found this pub on August bank holiday, we just had a drink and chips, lovely place, friendly staff, so told friends we needed to visit.
