Pungleperry's in North Norfolk

We were in Sheringham for the 40s weekend and needed an icecream. Pungleperrys on the main street it was. Excellent, homemade gelato, great flavours and rather large portions. Very worth the visit.

We have been going to Pungleperry's for many years and it's still a great place for a scone and a cuppa. Must be the best scones in Sheringham and very reasonably priced. Also the staff very friendly.

This is a 'must visit' place for my wife & I when we're in Sheringham - we've enjoyed ice crea and drinks both to take away and to sit down inside. We have received consistently friendly and efficient service from the staff. The products are excellent quality at sensible prices. Highly recommended.

Bad service, ended up leaving at getting ice cream at another place because of how the person at the till spoke to us. Poor selection ice cream in comparison to other places.

Amazing cheese scones! Generous size and reasonably priced at £2 each (they really are big!) Definitely a must try if you are in Sheringham.

I had a double cone; jaffa cake and biscoff on cone for about 4 GBP. Ice cream is so yummy!! Spoilt my lunch but did not regret it! There are places to sit and they accept contactless payment.

Stopped off for a cheese scone and a coffee after a walk to Weybourne. Scones were huge and excellent tasting. Coffee good too. Bar stools were a bit difficult to perch on and a bit squeaky but comfortable none the less. Friendly service.

A great ice-cream shop. They do a small number of flavours consistently well. After the change of ownership there's no longer the - taps nose - secret flavour available out the back so I'll claw back one star.

I stopped by on a wet Saturday evening in October and treated myself to 3 scoops - blackcurrant swirl (totally gorgeous), chocolate black cherry (prefer just black cherry I found) and banana toffee. The lass serving was so lovely - friendly, kind and chatty. Local made ice cream with good quality ingredients. 👌

We’ve visited here a couple of times whilst staying in Sheringham for a week and wow! Great food and drinks, at reasonable prices, with lovely, friendly staff. The cherry Bakewells and Caramel shortbreads are amazing!

Lovely friendly cafe. Highlights are homemade quiche, simply the best and the fruit scones and icecream. Well worth a visit.

Me and my husband had a lovely toastie, coffee and ice creams from here on separate occasions and every time it was a lovely and delicious treat for us! The staff are both lovely and friendly each time and take the time to talk us and we appreciate it very much. Would definitely recommend to anyone in the area to pop in! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Absolutely fabulous Gelato ice creams. Go for the 'six scooper' with umpteen toppers/sauces etc to pick as well. Then just sit and stuff your face. You'll not be disappointed.

Last visited Sheringham in 2018 so it was great to see that Pungleperry's was still operating - great quality ice cream with a good choice of flavours . A double scoop in a cone costs £4.40 which I consider good value for what you get.

Visited Sherringham on the day of the coronation. stopped off here for a coffee and a cake.The food was freshly cooked, very reasonably priced and tasted amazing. Would definitely recommend.

Best lace we could find open late on a Sunday afternoon in February, Had warmed up scones and jam and coffees , scones were a good size.. it was a sunny and dry but too chilly for ice cream.!!

Tyler looked after us very well. Great coffee. Lovely selection of cookies and snacks. Ice creams wonderful too.

The worst whippy I have ever had. The whippy ice cream was lumpy and the cone was very soft/stale. The amount of ice cream was also very minimal, as it was completely hollow in the middle. Reasonably priced, so that's one positive.

The best place in Sheringham for ice cream or coffee and a scrumptious snack. The coffee is very good and the food, including the ice cream, home made to a high standard. It has a cheery American diner sort of look and feel that makes it seem like more of a treat somehow. One of my must-visit places whenever I see family in North Norfolk.

Visited this lovely ice cream parlour for our friends 75th birthday treat. Felt welcomed straight away by the lovely ladies who were working there that day. The Eton mess knickerbocker glorys were made in view of us and were delicious. My parents had a one scoop ice cream one of Eton mess and one of lemon sorbet and enjoyed those also. Lovely clean place and nothing asked was to much trouble. Well worth a visit, Thank you again

Delicious ice-cream, one of the best I’ve ever had.

Absolutely fabulous place! Fantastic service and food. The homemade cakes, pancakes and ice cream are delicious. Took me back to childhood seaside holidays and my children loved it too. I only wish we lived nearer so we could be regular customers.

I don’t know how I’ve got to 49 without eating raspberry coconut tart ice cream, but thankfully today I finally did! It was amazing. The best ice cream I’ve eaten and I used to live in Italy, gelato central. My husbands eton mess ice cream went down equally as fast! The cakes also looked delicious but, although we are greedy, we didn’t go that far 😀

First time back since pre-covid and better than ever. Great makeover. Its a must when we come to Sheringham. Superb pancakes and coffee and service as always and the best quiche. A visit always starts our holiday perfectly.

Called in for a scone and a soup and the food and service were as equally good as each other. Eat in or take away. Highly recommended on a sunny December afternoon 👍

It was a damp day in Sheringham and we were looking for somewhere to get a snack. This seemed to be the only place that accepted card payments as every other place we saw said 'cash only'The ice-creams looked very inviting but we were wanting something a bit more for lunch and so had soup with bread. It was very nice .The owner was very welcomng, the service was excellent and the food very good. It is obviously a very popular place and rightly so.

We were staying nearby in our motorhome, so one morning walked into Sheringham. It was rainy & chilly, and on walking by, saw they did leek & potato soup. Well it was amazing! Nice and thick soup and the baguette it came with was delish, just right for dipping in. We stood on the seafront and ate this and it certainly warmed us up for the rest of our walk! We also got some cheese scones which were huge. These were also delicious with a cup of tea later that day. Will def go back when in the area. 5/5!

My wifecand i had teavelled to Sheringham to buy some local crabs but stopped at Pungleperrys to get two coffees to take away. The service was quick, great value and the coffee ....wow ! Absolutely delicious, beautifully tasty ! An unexpected gem !

We stopped here for an ice cream, as it was made on site. We were not disappointed as all the flavours we chose were delicious. Rocky Road, Jaffa Cake, Victoria Sponge and Lemon Meringue. Excellent stop.

Visited with the family and we were all happy with our choices. The Turkish delight flavour was delicious! My daughter also really recommends the chocolate gelato shake! Will definitely have to come back the next time we’re in sherringham.

Great tasting icecream and cake selection. I was really impressed with the hot sausage roll though. It had a great pork flavour with bite as opposed to mush. Would definitely visit again.

Very tasty icecreams and with a kid size available (and appreciated). Really nice sausage roll and caramel slice too! Friendly service. Lovely to eat sat on the sea wall not far away.

I noticed today that Pungleperry's in Sheringham Hight Street is open again, that made my day. Although at the time of writing it is for takeaway only, it's the same warm welcome, great coffee, and a selection of savoury snacks, cakes, and delicious ice cream. When available, the lemon meringue pie is the best there is (in my opinion). Pungleperry's is well worth a visit.

My review is long overdue!! Staff here are wonderful and the Orange bakewell immediately became a favourite of mine. Coffee is very well made and I cannot find fault of any sort from all of my visits. Simply put, I am more than willing to drive the 25 miles I live away to just go here 👍👍

Often when my son and I walk down town we have to stop to have a Pungleperry's ice-cream.The flavours put all the other ice-cream venues in town in the shade, Jaffa cake's a firm favorite of my son. Well I could tell what my favorite is....but they might run out....so I won't !!

The ice cream is really good here. The Raspberry and Rhubarb flavour was the highlight for me - delicately flavoured and slightly tart.

One of our favourites, we often (probably too often!) visit here at weekends for a pancake breakfast. Staff always friendly and make time to chat even if busy

A firm favourite for the following reasons: Excellent value, cheerful down to earth staff, delicious menu and the BEST cheese scones in North Norfolk (and I eat a LOT of cheese scones!). Slightly quirky, not the run of the mill cafe but a fabulous addition to Sheringham high Street. Thanks to all the super staff 👍😍

This has become a regular visit of mine every time I visit Sheringham. The ice cream is amazing and the flavours change daily, I also recommend the sausage rolls and toasties. Most importantly the staff are absolutely lovely, really friendly and great service :-)

Absolutely fabulous cafe! Stopped here for a coffee and kids wanted ice creams.. we were not disappointed! Kids loved the ice creams which I sampled and they were gorgeous! I had a large cappuccino and husband went for a scone with jam.. it was huge and lovely and warm! Whole lot came to just over £10 so good value. Service lovely and friendly! Lovely atmosphere and modern surroundings! Something I really liked about this place was that everything was clearly priced and advertised.. we weren’t guessing at the cost! Loads of variety on the menu! We will be back again!

We always head here when on holiday and visiting sherringham. It has some of the tastiest ice cream we have ever had and the flavours are always really lovely. We look forward to it each visit

Love this place, well it does serve ice cream(ha ha). Always good quality, had the cream tea ice cream - scones jam and cream on top, absolutely scrumptious.

One of our favourite ice cream parlours but this time we tried their thick shakes and iced coffees and all 5 of us loved our choices, particularly the turkish delight thick shake and the two iced coffees.

Best soya hot chocolate in town. Plus lots of other sweet treats aswell. Good menu and not too badly priced.

This is the BEST Ice cream parlor that I have ever been to, the ice cream is proper gelato and the crepes are delicious. It is family run and therefore the atmosphere is amazing. Now I'm not supposed to give my opinion but the best ice cream is the blackcurrant cheesecake. I would thoroughly recommend.

Limited range of ice cream flavours but the ones we had were lovely. Would recommend.

Sheringham is one of our favourite places and we like to try all the eateries and cafes, whilst returning to our favourites. We hadn't tried Pungleperry's yet although their icecream always looks tempting. This was a rainy day and we were looking for somewhere dry to get refreshments. The previous cafe had all but run out of cakes so we were pleased to see a stand full of them. There was a good selection including gluten free. My children were pleased with their milkshakes which came in a good range of flavours and my son enjoyed his freshly squeezed orange juice. The cakes were all devoured and my gluten free brownie was enjoyable. The coffee good too. Worth a try next time I'm going to try the icecream which is made onsite, the Jaffa cake one looked amazing.

Nice ice cream, lots of flavours, I have given 4* instead Of five simply because the chairs were too high for my elderly Mum and there is no toilet.

Great selection of Ice Cream, just about every flavour you can think of, or excellent Whippy Ice Cream as an alternative. I particularly love their Coffee Ice, and my husband thinks the Rum & Raisin is great.

Whilst they do sell other tasties other than ices, their sorbet is EXCELLENT, my partner is obsessed with it, & of course being a gentleman i never let her eat alone..hehe Open till 9pm on summer evenings

Oh my! The ice cream is delicious. SO many flavours. We tried the strawberries & cream, Jaffa cake, vanilla & caramel. All were fab We sat inside on stools - quite the ‘American ice cream parlour’ feel about it. The staff were pleasant. You can purchase the ice creams and ‘take away’. They also serve crepes, and lots of coffees and cakes. Well worth a visit when in Sheringham

Every year when we come to Norfolk for our hols, we've decided it's not a holiday without going to Pungleperrys so it tends to be 'let's go to ... and we can stop off on way back to Pungleperrys'. Great for coffees, cakes are scummy, ice cream to die for, prices are very good and members of staff are friendly and helpful!

We stopped here a quick Ice cream. Lots of great flavours including black cherry, Bakewell tart and Caramel. The Caramel was delicious and good value too.

It’s a few years since I was last in Sheringham, but I was pleased to see that Pungleperry’s are still producing excellent ice cream. There were about a dozen wonderful flavours on offer - I had a double scoop, one scoop of peanut butter and one scoop of Jaffa cake - both flavours were fantastic. A double scoop in a cone cost £3.70 which, for the quality of the ice cream, was about right. There are other ice cream sellers in Sheringham that have many, many more flavours on offer, however, I think Pungleperry’s relatively small list of flavours is its strength by concentrating on making fewer flavours at exceptional quality.

We tried the chocolate and the cherry bakewell ice cream. Both were absolutely delicious. We also shared a fruit scone. This was huge and served warm with jam/whipped cream....very very good. I will definately visit again next time i am in sheringham.

After a hot long walk really fancied a cold ice cream. The Gelato here I saw a rhubarb one, never had rhubarb ice cream and boy I love rhubarb:-) Not too sweet and totally delicious Defo will go back

I know it's winter... but it wouldn't be Britain if we didn't have an ice cream come rain or shine! This place has a fabulous selection of ice cream and didn't disappoint. Very reasonably priced too!

Pungleperry's is a fab coffee/ice cream parlour. The atmosphere is relaxed and always a happy welcome. The coffee is lovely and made fresh from the bean. The homemade cakes and savouries are delicious my favourite is the coconut slice!

Our fave place in Sheringham... always visit when in Norfolk. The milk shakes are divine and the Spanish quiche was superb. Lovely place to visit... not just desserts either... although they have the sweetest tooth covered... yummy...

Lovely ice cream and pancake/waffle cafe although does serve savoury food too. We had the make your own sundae which was delicious and a great way to pass a wet afternoon. Lovely ice cream flavours, particularly liked the Jaffa cake one!

Service with a smile, nice choice of indulgent flavours. Raspberry and white chocolate is a winner. Only problem is they don't take card payments.

A popular place for our family, no visit to Sheringham is complete until we have had ice cream from here. Family favourite is Jaffa cake flavour, copied by many but this is the best. For the adults the coffee is good as well.

We've visited here loads of times over the years and it remains consistently excellent. Still the best ice cream in Sheringham (and pretty much anywhere else for that matter). Great coffee, and a decent selection of savoury and sweet food. I had a toastie that...
