Nando's in Chelmsford

Had a lovely meal, good service and not bad value.

Love Nandos the food is always great and the staff can't do enough for you, can't wait to go again

We tried Nando’s for the first time . Even though it was busy we had a fantastic meal and didn’t wait long at all. A young lady called Leah greeted us with the biggest smile and was very Polite and made us feel very welcome

Ally serviced us and she was really nice made us feel really comfortable was patient with us thank you so much Ally really appreciated !!!

This afternoon I came to Nando’s in Chelmsford, there was a small mistake made with table numbers, and ended up waiting an awful long time for just 2 sides. However Will was exceptional and followed up on my order as soon as the mistake was corrected, to top that off I was offered a free desert as compensation. Wonderful service from Will ! :)

Great service and lovely food. Came Saturday evening for dinner with some friends and her little boy, it was really busy but they made sure they found us a table within about 10 minuets and even made enough room for my pushchair. All the staff, especially the manager in the pink shirt, were wonderful and attentive and checked back several times to make sure everything was okay. Food came out really fast despite how busy it was and was one of the best Nando’s we’d had. Thank you! :)

Laura is fantastic, very accommodating & helpful. The restaurant was busy but she still took the time to sit down with me and help me with the APP.

I have always between Southend branch and Chelmsford branch been allowed to ask and pay for extra peritamer marinade. I have now been told this is no longer allowed? I would love to know why? As I’m a paying customer, and all the other sauces on the shelf are marinades too. Surely if I like the taste of the food product I should be able to pay?

I had a fantastic experience at Nando's in Chelmsford! The staff were friendly and attentive, and the food was delicious, especially the perfectly cooked peri-peri chicken. The atmosphere was welcoming, and the service was quick despite being busy. I'll definitely be returning soon!

Served uncooked chicken and tried to cover it up , cannot get hold of any management to escalate all I was offered was a orange reward , however when I originally called to complain I was told I could have a refund for the chicken but all of a sudden there is no phone recording of this conversation , very disappointing

We came here on Sunday, was greeted by Rach throughout the service she was lovely and attentive, she tried to go above and beyond expectations, which was really nice The food serviced by Jeb, was at the expectations of Nandos, which was nice.... only feedback was that the chicken breast a bit dry, but its fine - the highlights were the fries - no idea what happened but they were really crispy but not overly cooked but to a way that it was crispy and fluffy Definitely a good Nandos to visit :) Thank you Rach and Jeb for the experience

Gemma and Tiffany made our experience that extra special. It was no bother for them to bring out a birthday cake to help us celebrate. They even boxed up the leftover cake so we could take it home. The service from start to finish was fantastic. The food was amazing. Would definitely recommend Nandos to my friends and family

As always with Nando's, quick and efficient with nice food. Just one small issue, the portion of chops was very small.

Ordered takeaway and items missing. Asked for credit and reordered and received 50% from one item and 20pence from another item, less than 10% of charge. Disgraceful.

Nando’s sadly have gone down hill big time. Met friend for lunch. Had to queue to order food. Which is fine. Quarter chicken with Lemon Herb sauce consist of 1 very small chicken leg which is absolutely tasteless inside, the only sauce you can taste is on the Skin! Served with Cold Chips & Glass of Lemonade. For this I paid £13.70. Both friend & I very disappointed. Not worth the money at all. Will definitely go somewhere else. Not worth the visit at all!

The food has always been delicious. However, the restaurant had dirty plates. This is the problem of many Nando’s restaurants.

Been here several times but this time the wait for food was really unexceptionable. Ordered at 1.30 (time on receipt) food arrived at table at 2.10 after it had been sitting under the heat lights on counter for 10 minutes. I had the Fino pitta but due to sitting under lights the pitta was crispy on top and tough on bottom. We also got fed up with different members of staff walking up too our table to see if we had finished. Sorry Nando’s but not a good experience this time.

Staff very good, food was way below expectations, peri peri chicken bland (ordered very hot) maybe needs to have slits made into the chicken so the marinade gets in, taste as if sauce was brushed on top even then no flavour or heat.

Just be weary not to get stuck in their lift. Despite this we had an amazing time dinning there.

this place is always busy. full of very young people who love dried up chicken with hot hot sauce. There is nothing good about this place. processed food, covered in hot sauce is not the best type of food anyway but put then into this context and its an awful night out. I always feel that it is tense in this place, like a fight is about to break out. The staff are a mix of people, but all with one common similarity, you would only find them working in a fast food place, thats for sure!

My partner and I went for lunch and there were quite a few trainees on shift. Charlie showed us to our table and was so friendly and bubbly. Another trainee we met was Rachel and again was friendly and chatty. Alex the supervisor was on point to noticing our corn was slightly over cooked and offered us new ones. All 3 members of the team were smily the whole time and a credit to Nandos! The food was also on point as always! :)

Went in on Monday night. Place was very clean and staff were extremely friendly. Kira especially was extremely polite and made sure everything was okay for my visit. 5/5.

A big un. A Nando’s. So good chicken, nice spices and a bland corporate take on street art. You eat here for the cheap meal not the decor. A place to eat and chat. All good. Clean. And very busy.

I've come here several times, the staff are always really lovely and helpful. There's been a few items missed at times but as soon as you ask they will very quickly fix it, and it's always a really great experience. I recommend the macho peas, so good!! There's cultural music playing in the background, a huge choice of spices and sauces, a sink close by to wash your hands (very helpful if you're eating a burger) and serviettes and cutlery aplenty.

a strong4.5/5! our waiter Will was amazing!! his name badge was something else; great helpful Cust service, lish food-unexpedly better than when I went[to another branch yrs ago!] -small portions than they used to be in this branch tho - cud be an altogether nationwide ting? -Nuisance to go up and down the stairs just to get some water. -there was another waitress there, her attitude compared to Will stank when we asked for something! This place is by far the best of my Nandos experience. I buy takeout from here always and the food is just amazing as compared to Nandos Thurrock Retail park in Lakeside who always sells people burnt and extremely dry chicken on takeout . Keep it up guys💃🏽💃🏽💃🏽You Rock🤩

Best Nando’s I’ve been to, and I’ve been to quite a few! Visited here yesterday with family, and from start to finish it was brilliant. The service, food & styling refurb of the restaurant were all 5* All the staff that served us looked like they genuinely cared, and our food arrived really quick piping hot. Thanks very much!

Very hit or miss here, sometimes great other times not so much, last time we went I got butterfly chicken, n seriously it was so small was like 2 nuggets stitched together, plus gave us the trots pretty bad I'd rather go somewhere consistent, so won't be returning here

Shame, potion size of the chickens has reduced drastically. 1/2 chicken was tiny. For the money I would suggest getting one from a supermarket and doing your own as it isn't a skill

Very tasty food and very friendly staff

Nice lunch, just what I was after: a decent wrap and seasoned chips. Ordering system was a bit of a faff for a newbie who was starving, but lunch hit the spot when it arrived 👍💘

I walked in and I ordered for takeaway when I opened the box I realise my order was wrong so I called up and they said they will be able to do the refund and when I come back to do the refund they said they can’t give me the money So there is no money in my account or cash money 14.20 pound they didn’t give me the money they are useless

Felt like leaving a review after the Irish lady (Lily?) went out of her way to change an item on my order that I had ordered incorrectly! Just impeccable service, give that lady a raise! Place is well managed, quick service and the new decor looks amazing.

Impressed by this one. Manager really knowledgeable about coeliac/gluten-free. Chicken was really tasty and the staff friendly. They had colouring stuff for children (been to some Nando’s and they’ve run out). Water machine broken downstairs but staff kept jugs filled up on the counter.

Absolutely amazing food. Been here twice this month. Good price and amazingly delicious food. So much opportunity to customise your food. There’s something for everyone. The staff are really nice and the food comes quite quickly. You also get the option to order from your phone or via a server. It is situated right in the town centre, perfect for visiting other places before or after. Would definitely do again.

My son got a meal for himself today. Got a burnt and stale chicken leg, half of a portion of rice and half a petition of a box of chips. They wouldn’t have have done if he was an adult person. Disgraceful! 😠

Awful. Some of the worst service I’ve experienced. Waited for ages for food. Told it was because they were busy. Yea that’s the point of a restaurant. If you wasn’t busy you wouldn’t last long. Honestly couldn’t care less that people don’t work to their time frames. Manager is about as much use as a chocolate teapot. Went out his way to not be helpful. Just avoid. Nandos in brentwood much better.

I dont live in Chelmsford, visited to take my mum out, it has been a difficult time for us and getting my mum out to Nandos was really beneficial for her, it wasnt just about the food on this occasion. the large order we placed was spot on, all the staff were lovely on the day(Sat 27th May 23), I wanted to leave a sincere thank you to you all on the day, I cannot fault the service and could see how hard the team were working. Overall-For me it isnt just a Nandos, you guys are great!

Was so busy but a 10 minute wait is more like a couple so fast tables

The team member who sat us seemed very nervous and then proceeded to mess around with colleagues on the stairs (this was on a busy Friday evening) but generally as always Nandos was just what we needed

Fast service , all orders correct, seated quickly for a table of 8. Wide range on the menu with new things this time we visited. The desserts menu could be expanded
