Welcoming exterior, love the lights. Busy street, on street parking. Staff are lovely & helpful. Interior and furniture is a little dated looking, could be made more warm & cosy. Had scrambled egg & toast. Lovely bread, but the egg was microwaved so rubber like. I definitely prefer my egg cooked in a pan as it was very dry too. Good prices and menu looked well rounded. Entry level food, but good food. I saw an outdoor area, might be nice in the warmer days.

Never in my life have I paid £5.75 for 2 slices of bread and grated cheese 🫣 Some serious reconsideration of realistic pricing needs to happen!

Awful service. Ordered a rare boxset they had in stock, only for them to wait 3 days before taking it off the shop floor, by which time it had already been sold. Incredibly poor service, definitely would not trust them to actually have in stock what their shop says, save yourself a headache, go elsewhere for everything.

Stopping in for a quick pint one night on my way home, I finally checked out Bar West after passing by it for years. They happened to have live music which was good, but far too loud. I'm not adverse to loud music, but you couldn't actually have a conversation without shouting in someone's face. That said, it was quite busy and clearly popular with its regulars. The beer range is okay, but there was nothing particularly special or interesting on draft. From what I did have, though, I think perhaps the beer is being kept far too cold, to its detriment. Overall, while Bar West is an okay spot for a quick drink, the noise level and beer temperature may not be to everyone's liking.

SCOUSE Michael was an absolute star. The best. He had the best patter and was so kind. He’s wiping tables as I write this and doing such a good job.
