Never in my life have I paid £5.75 for 2 slices of bread and grated cheese 🫣 Some serious reconsideration of realistic pricing needs to happen!

I was out with my Grandchildren on the 23rd of July, the weather was scorching.I went to the cafe to get 2 waters and 2 ice lollies. It cost me nearly £10,the ice lollies are not suitable for young kids age 2,they were far too big for them. You should sell the small milk type ones. The prices are a disgrace for Families who are living in an expensive climate. Its a complete rip off to the public.I was going to stay for a coffee whilst my husband took the kids to the swings, but I soon changed my mind very quickly the staff serving were dirty looking and covered in sleeves of tattoos and that was just the females.I shudder to think what the state of the kitchen would be if that is the serving staff.Gone are the good old days when advertising for staff in the hospitality sector that no sleeves of tats should apply.Get your bloody act together and the proper staff.

Eileen, Eve, Myra and Mel work very hard to ensure that we are satisfied with quality of food served to members of public. Today I enjoyed "Mel's" Carrot cake which was absolutely delicious. You could taste cinnamon, raisins, nuts, and carrots, of course. The carrot cake was very moist and thoroughly enjoyed it. Could I have recipe! Eve excels in making fruit loaf which I tasted last week, in addition to her Banana bread which I purchased today and indeed her tablet is excellent too! My husband enjoyed very much his bacon roll which is always cooked to order!

Like to pop in for a light lunch. Everything is freshly made and delicious. There's a good selection of cakes and, where possible, they use locally sourced products. Service is good too

The standard of food here massively exceeds what you would usually get in this type of cafe! Proper meals & lunch bites, very generous portions and well presented by friendly staff! They obviously have a very good chef. Cafe was very busy & staff were rushed off their feet, possibly short staffed for how busy it was. Vegetarian vegan gluten free options, something for everyone. Thanks to Fiona & her staff! Highly recommend & the museum/farm was great after too.

Possibly swayed by being a National Trust member and therefore not having to pay for entry; everything else then seams cheaper. It is a nice little area within the museum to take in some views and plan the trip. Soups and snacks appeared to be going down well!

Was recommended Carrigans by friends and they were right. Need to book, which I did, for a saturday night. Great menu choice, something for everyone. Did not have to wait too long for our food, considering it was so busy. Food was fantastic. Great portion sizes. Staff were great. Definately would go back and would recommend.

Visited Toffee Apples for supper club, with my family. Every course was delicious, as always. Angela always ensures there is a gluten free option available. A great value night out and you have the option of taking along your own bottle. Service is always friendly and with a laugh. Well worth a visit.

First time dining here and i will be back again hopefully soon. The parking isn't the greatest when their busy. The staff are lovely and it didn't take long for the food. My starter was amazing but my main was astounding. It was such a big portion i had to ask for a doggie bag. It was so easy to book a table. The decor is feels warm and cosy. The place is spotless. Can't wait to go there again. The prices are very reasonable and is big portions.
