Cafe W at Waterstones in South Lanarkshire

As an avid reader this is my favourite shop. Great for coffee too.

Had coffee and cake in the cafe there. Lovely! A good look round and I chose an Air fry cook book. A pocket sized History of Scotland. Informative with a touch of humour. Also a book on furniture restoration. I went in looking for the cook book and a crime novel, but couldn't resist the other choices I made.

Danielle is such a lovely person (she works in the cafe) will definitely be back!

Love it here, that unmistakable aroma of books and coffee as you walk in....Good selection of books and the coffee is so much nicer than the main brand ones nearby. Staff are always nice too.

Always very friendly, helpful staff here. Bought a book for my husband for Christmas and the person serving me assured me the Author was amazing and there were multiple series if his books should me husband like it. He did and cant wait to read it!

They have great selection of books and games.hotand cold drinks and hot and cold sandwiches and food. Brilliant helpful staff .some shops have lifts to take you to different levels in the shop.

Normally I love Waterstones cafes! I adore buying a book and settling in with a cosy coffee to read it. However, today my voyage into the works of Keats was ruined by the woman working at the cafe in the black top moaning about her manager. Please take it from me when I say the entirety of Waterstones doesn’t need to hear what you would do differently! That seems like a conversation best struck up with your manager. 13/08/22

I can’t thank the staff in Café W enough for providing me with a calming peppermint tea and cheese toasty after I stumbled out of the science fiction area. I managed to rip myself from the pages of a war between man and machine. I know I can’t return to my world due to the new robot overlords. The staff comforted me and assured me that I could start a new life on this world. I owe my new life to the staff of Waterstones East Kilbride

Very helpful staff, if I can't find what I am looking for, they help me by either locating it in their store or by ordering it in for me. Atmosphere is perfect & store layout is easy to navigate. 100% would shop again and recommend

Nice and quiet place to relax while enjoying a tea/coffee as it's in the bookstore, I find they tend to be just like libraries with people generally being quieter than normal, maybe it's all the books we just associate with having to be quiet lol. Quite limited range of sandwiches/biscuits/cakes on offer but it is a small section of store so that figures. Coffee was colder than I would have liked although it was nice, the cups have gotten tiny hence only 3 stars but I do like the quiet.

Delicious food and drinks. Very good with current track and trace and cleaning rules. Always my first choice.

Went into today to buy children's books and there was the usual good choice but the child wandering around touching and having a look at lots of books made me leave as she was eating a large greasy sausage roll.at the time . Didn't want greasy books

This relatively big Waterstones conveniently located in the shopping centre. It has all the most popular sections and the staff are all friendly and helpful.

In these days of online everything, it's still lovely to walk into and appreciate a book store like Waterstones, East Kilbride. I can't sing its praises highly enough. The staff are first class and will go out of their way to assist and help you find what you are looking for. Book stores, long may they reign.

Nice little coffee shop in there. Very pleasant place...had the pleasure of shopping there today.....lovely staff and very knowledgeable...coffee shop closed due to pandemic conditions ..but I got what I wanted...

Just love a browse up and down the book cases in Waterstones. They saved my sanity during lockdown, buying online but not the same as shopping instore. Great recommendations by staff and the buy one, get one half price they have on offer, in the store is great for that extra wee treat. Staff are always friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.

I have a loyalty card now. Purchasing more often. They usually have what I want.

I love this bookshop, I go in there and forget time completely. So many choices and a nice chilled atmosphere.

Great choice, staff really helpful. Only reason not 5 stars is you can usually get commin books cheaper elsewhere, however if looking for hardbacks/signed copies or limited editions its Waterstones all the way

we were looking for a Brian Cox space book month to month as the one we got is up this year but new one in printing so need to wait for cchristms see if new one is due out.

Excellent place to go for a reasonably quiet cup of coffee. Nice soup and usual selection of sandwiches available too. Friendly helpful staff. The book selection in Waterstones is very good as you would expect.

Yes I love this shop...especially as a lovely escape from the rigours of clothes shopping! Quiet, relaxing with a varied selection of books ..I struggle to select because I want to own so many of them!
