Buon Appetito in South Lanarkshire

I've been coming to this wee cafe since I was a baby with my mum and dad. Now I come along with my own babies over the years anytime I am in the arcade. Always the place to go with my family and friends. The staff make the place what it is, the food is brilliant always. The atmosphere is always great. Love their tea, coffee and cakes too. This place is like the heart of Rutherglen to me. A wee hidden gem. One place that still remains over all these years, and no wonder.

One of Rutherglen's hidden gems, fantastic food, definitely a must. Parking 50p for two hours. Reasonably priced, fantastic lunch. My new favourite place, wholesome food. Update 5th March 2025 Happened to be in the area, it's been a wee while. Fantastic as ever ♥️

There's not much you can say about a Roll n Sausage, but it was delicious and cooked to perfection. I love the food and atmosphere.

Brilliant staff very helpful give you time to look at menu myself and Donna had the steak pie James had burger and chips with cheese all meals where cooked lovely

Came in for breakfast, absolutely beautiful, massive omelette with salad and toast, hubby got cheese burger with bacon, delicious. Very friendly staff, really prompt service, great wee atmosphere. Menu prices were very reasonable and with a good selection of food.

I had breakfast and was very tasty and it’s worth money and staff are really nice in there and they now who we are.

My 84 year old mother made us go out of our way, driven across the city, to go to Buoun Appetito for coffee/breakfast, because the staff are "always so nice" to her. Liz welcomed us with cheery words and good food. Thank you Buoun Appetito for looking after my Mum so well.

I am actually wondering what time it actually shuts at. More than twice in the space of 2 weeks I have went to the window for takeaway asked for chips to be told there is none left. This is at 4 o'clock in the day surely if takeaway window is open then everything should be available. What would happen if a sit in customer came in at 4 for chips and macaroniwould they turn them away

Quick, tasty, hearty, very reasonably priced, friendly wee cafe. All day breakfast that comes with a pot of tea or coffee is absolutely great value.

Usually visit here for a quick lunch when in Rutherglen and today was no exception. I was with my aunt, and we went in feeling wet and miserable and came out feeling really cheered up. I don’t know how the staff remember so many customers, but the atmosphere is very friendly, the tables are spotless and the food is really enjoyable and excellent value. The number of regular customers certainly confirms this.

This is a friendly wee cafe with wonderful staff, especially Carol. She's always very friendly, helpful and always has a smile and a blether for everyone. She's truly an asset to the cafe and theres alwaya a warm welcome from her. Lovely lady.

My partner and I have visited this place countless times, and it has always been great food and service in the past - most of the waitresses and Liz are very welcoming. However this past few times there has been this waitress called Carol, who has been very friendly and smiley to people at the other tables. But when she came to us she had this angry, impatient voice and look, and she'd just slam our plates down then walk away. The first time we put it down to her having a bad day but it has happened twice more now and this time it has put us off the place for good. The food is always great here but when the service is this disappointing it ruins the whole experience. There are plenty of other local cafes that have better customer service. Do better Buon Appetito!

Ridiculous ordered a fish tea and was given a piece of fish half the size of what I got the last few times I had eaten there and when I made the staff aware I wasn't happy with the size of the fish.i was Rudely told (we don't catch the fish we only cook them ) I will never be back in there again terrible service and customer service

Love going here, good simple home cooked food. The staff are always cheery, helpful and friendly. The portions are generous and good priced. Go here almost everytime we're in Rutherglen. Go, try it for yourself. You won't be disappointed.

Great place. Great service. Sometimes go there for my "Cheat" breakfast. Good all round!! Oh and the hand cut chips take some beating!!!! You also get all the Rutherglen banter too!!!

Habiendo pasado por alto esta pequeña joya en muchas ocasiones, he comenzado a ir con bastante regularidad, especialmente para el desayuno durante todo el día. Servicio, personal, comida. Todo excelente. Algunas restricciones debido a las reglas de Covid. Debe recomendar Darle una oportunidad. No creas que te decepcionará

The waitress has a very bad attitude, barely spoke a word to us, asked for a pot of tea, there are 2 of us she brings over 1 pot and 1 mug... £1.70 per person... Milk on the table, no idea how long it had been sitting there, asked for fresh milk, seemed like the kind of person that would put fresh milk on old milk.... Prices are too high. Avoid....

Food is pretty good and generous sized portions but prices are steep compared to most cafes. You'll get a nice lunch but not a cheap one.

This place is the best greasy spoon (that I have found so far) in Scotland. The staff is always friendly and funny, the place is very clean, and the food is just what my gran would offer me on a Sunday visit. Chips are always perfect, and the apple pie is amazing, especially when is just out from the ove. I can't recommend it enough.

La comida es buena, pero pagar aproximadamente 20 para mí y una comida para niños y un jugo cada uno es ridículo, es una cuchara grasienta, no un Franky & Bennys. . . . . no volverá hasta que los precios estén ordenados?

Siempre aparece con mi hijo quisquilloso. Pero como siempre, el personal recuerda lo que hace y lo que no le gusta. El servicio al cliente siempre está ahí y a mi hijo le encanta conversar con el personal. He estado viniendo aquí por un largo tiempo ahora.

The Buon Appetito cafe is excellent , very clean , the staff are friendly and helpful , the cafe took me back to my youth very retro , plus they use gold star brown sauce with is my favourite.

You can't go to the arcade without going into the bonny! Staff are friendly, foods always nice & the service is quick. What more can you ask for?

He estado viniendo aquí más tiempo que puedo mencionar y nunca me han decepcionado. La comida es deliciosa y siempre recién hechas. Su torta de carne, rollitos y salchichas con salsa y patatas fritas son siempre sorprendente. Mención especial aunque debes ir al personal cuya naturaleza alegre y amabilidad hacen que sea una experiencia muy agradable. La comida y el personal son incomparables.

Although a bit pricey we always wait for the deals., but very nice pizzas. Always get delivered on time and piping hot.
