The food was excellent as was the service. The only reason I only gave 3 stars for atmosphere is because it was at lunchtime and the place was pretty quiet. But it's a lovely pub.

Very friendly place. Very busy on a Tuesday night but found us a table before the 8:30 cut off. Loads of TVs if sport is your thing. Really good service. Food OK 👍

Would avoid this “bar/restaurant” like you where avoiding the plague or in modern day context COVID. The starters are for kids at nursery, the main meals are for the teenagers who are yet to go through puberty and low and behold you want fresh salad you will have to wait for the market to open unless you want tasteless, paper leaves. However don’t let that put you off we have left the best too last the managers call you names and become personal if you state the food was not up to standard. The manager is condescending, patronising and down right rude as well as objecting to all comments they feel it is acceptable to raise issues on the premises and the staff to respond with ok and walk away. The service is non existent like the taste of the food.

Bring back Brian. Only under 25s in favour with the manger but apparently his last night. Disappointed locals. 3 females left alone despite asking for a taxi.

Good atmosphere and attentive staff. Bar food over priced, I paid 14.95 for a burger which was not great, side salad was good though.

Chicken strips are too thin, can hardly taste chicken. Pizza was poor quality base. Comfortable seating and fair price drinks.

Brilliant service and delicious food in a dog friendly area. I highly recommend the king prawns especially.

Went at 1.30 asked are you showing the lions game. Answer yes and come around 4 we will get you near the TV. Turn up at 4. We are full, get out.

£10 for a tiny bowl of rice with a spoonful of “chilli” poured into the middle of it?! Are you having a laugh?? Nothing else. Just rice and “chilli” lol... No cheese. No sour cream. Zero flavour. Just a tiny bowl of plain rice with a spoonful of microwave chilli, how sad. I was regularly presented with 100 times better for £1.50 a head when I was a student. Staff were great. Toilets were absolutely disgusting 🤢 I was not asked if I enjoyed my meal or if I enjoyed my visit. If I had been, the above would have been discussed on site.

Classic no frills middle of the road local with an above average pub grub menu from next door's Riva Italian restaurant.

We would give Riva 5 stars, never fails to deliver a lovely lunch, and so say the 3of us, and the staff are all lovely and pleasant

Riva is now open for meals great to get back to good food and friendly staff.

Changed this place to my local despite it being further away - just an all round cracking spot for a great pint (and delicious pub food if you're hungry)

I occasionally will go for a wonder around bothwell and have a drink on my own somewhere ... this place has a very local only place vibe. When I walked in I got stared at and the entire time I was there I could feel eyes on me ... prices were average and staff were pleasant but the old men who haunt the place give it a bad atmosphere . I have been in a few times at the weekend when friends have been visiting me in bothwell where it’s very busy . Which is nice except local ned boys punting coke in the toilets but if am honest that’s most pubs these days .

Found this pub when we were up from Leeds visiting relatives in the area. A great pub, friendly staff and very good food. The barman was so helpful when dealing with my food allergy. Nothing was too much trouble. Have also eaten in their sister restaurants and had good meals. It's a super pub to have as a local.

My son and i arrive for a pint, was nt overly busy but had a buzz, we did have to wait a little bit to be served. usual pub range, with some specials, plenty of TV screens though not imposing. Bar is a funny shape, can be quite narrow and if busy could be cramped

Busy friendly local pub. Fantastic food at a great price. Food is made in the restaurant Riva which is attached to the Camphill. Service was first class.

A good typical pub in the village, ales and lagers kept well and a friendly knowledgeable staff. I have not tried the bar food but as far as I can see comes from the same kitchen as Riva next door this being the case I have no doubt it will be very good.

Wasn't impressed at all with this place. It's all bar and no where much to sit so everyone just stood around the bar which made getting served difficult.

Only popped into the pub for a quick pint. The staff at the local hotel Bothwell Bridge suggested it. Ended up staying all night and watching some sport on the tv...was a brilliant pint and service.

I took some of my family here for lunch and a catch up. We managed to park right out the back which was very handy for my dad who walks with a stick. The menu is really good. I went for steak pie and it was delicious and very very reasonably priced. If you're looking for a nice wee place to relax and have a decent bite to eat then this is it!

We go here for lunch on a regular basis and we can take the baby and the dog The food is always beautiful and the staff are excellent we would definitely recommend this restaurant

Away on Business and a colleague recommended this place for a drink, nice place atmosphere was a little stayed and I did feel a bit out of place, when my colleague left but I decided to stay and eat, good choice, pate one of the best I’ve had, couldn’t fault the main course either, will I go back a definate yes

Had a lovely breakfast at a reasonable price. The staff were friendly and attentive whilst the atmosphere of the place was really relaxed and charming. Food arrived quickly and was very tasty. Was impressed by their dessert menu too. Definetly somewhere we will return to.
