Settlers in South Lanarkshire

Awful service. Ordered a rare boxset they had in stock, only for them to wait 3 days before taking it off the shop floor, by which time it had already been sold. Incredibly poor service, definitely would not trust them to actually have in stock what their shop says, save yourself a headache, go elsewhere for everything.

One of my favourite places in my hometown, always such warm staff and a pleasant experience is Always guaranteed. I wish I was home more often so I could make more visits. Hope everyone is doing well

We go here weekly with our service user and the staff are really friendly and helpful. Great choice of games to play and excellent and reasonably priced menu.

I love coming into settlers on a wee day out in Hamilton. I would call myself a bit of a geek, but not as hardcore as most of the regulars - nevertheless I never feel unwelcome or even uncomfortable in the place! It’s a perfect wee cosy spot to wind down, or even to have a wee date!

Game stores are often dingy and lets be frank, stinking of B.O. Luckily Settlers subtly has tins of deoderant in the bathroom and it seems to work, the store is always filled with the nice aroma of espresso and not the dreaded pungent odour. Seriously, settlers is awesome, lovely staff who make you feel very welcome, its the only game store I recomend to anyone now.

Ever since my first visit i have felt at home here. I first walked through the door not knowing anything about magic and now i love it, i have been treated with patience every step of the way. The staff are amazing and fun, they always take the time to make sure you are buying exactly what you want and leave happy every time. The food is great and exactly what you need during a long visit.

Such a welcoming place for everyone. Here you are covered if you have just a passing interest in board games, are a hard core gaming enthusiast or if you just enjoy friendly banter. For myself i enjoy visiting and being taught new games (how many places can you go to be taught something for FREE). There is a large library of board games, some you may know some you certainly won't, they are all gems. The food is simple, toasties and cakes, but they really are the best in the area (I recommend the Krispy Cake or the actual heart attack Caramel cake). Coffee! If you love coffee you can't go wrong here. I love that you can buy almost all the games on offer in the library, or pick up the latest and greatest graphic novel. The atmosphere is very friendly and people are happy to teach you about the games they are playing. It can be busy on events night such as Magic The Gathering but you can find out more info on their handy Facebook page. You can even reserve a table.

Settlers is a cafe where you can enjoy a nice cuppa and play board games. I did not play board games much but since coming to Settlers it is now my new hobby and I just love it. The staff will take the time to teach you a new game. Every time we go we always come away having learned another board game. Its great fun. What really makes this place special is there is such a good community feel, everyone is so friendly. The cakes are all home baked by the owners mum and they are amazing ! Plus I have to say they do make the best toasties ! I would highly recommend this place to my friends and family

It's rare that you find a board game cafe that is quite so open and well lit, the place is so welcoming and the staff are incredibly friendly. The library of games to play is quite substantial, although they don't keep as much in stock board games wise as a full game shop, they usually have what you are looking for, or can order it in for you. The tables are great for gaming, and they host a slew of events from open board gaming, to Roleplaying, Magic, Pokemon, Yu-gi-oh, and even a game design workshop. Also... You have to try to cake... It's to die for!
