The new cafe has been well worth the wait. the decor is very cool, the wood burning stove is great the staff friendly as ever my wee espresso tasted brilliant in the dinky cup. Just wait till the right sized flat white cups arrive. The Victoria Sponge was fantastic. Classy Carnwath Cafe.

I travelled all the way from Devonshire (england). just to try the award winning pies and the famous chocolate eclaire, I enjoyed every last mouthful. Great atmosphere and a very warm welcome 🙏 Mrs pie made my day 🥧 can't wait to return for a bacon bap and another phenomenal eclaire.

Takeaway shop, stopped for breakfast roll on way home, massive chilled unit with all sorts of pies lead me up to cake, takeaway counter!! 🤤, bought breakfast roll and couldn't resist buying steak pie 1lb size, had for dinner that night, tatties, sprouts, carrots, it was magnificent!!. Big pieces of meat, melt in the mouth and very tasty gravy!. Can't fault!.

Went there early hrs with my parents and auntie Nancy. Lovely fresh hot croissant, one of the best I have had. Staff are spot on.

I just ate probably the best thing I have/will ever eat in my life here. The steak and mash pie is absolutely to die for! The ultimate comfort food. My husband tried their shortbread and said it was the best shortbread he’s ever had! I also tried the carrot cake and that was also incredible. The lady was so sweet and kind and told us what was in each pie which I really appreciated. If you haven’t been here, do not walk, RUN to the Apple pie!!!

The Best wee bakery in carnwath. With a homely feel as soon as you open the door you are greeted with the same welcome as your other half gives after 23 yrs. As a daily customer I recommend their roll n sausage as well as being spoiled for choice with the vast cake selection where the princess 👸 and the rest of the team are only too happy to help you choose. #farmer friend

The Apple Pie is a traditional bakery with a great selection of very good pies, pastries, filled rolls cakes and of course apple pie😀 Good selection of coffees and cold drinks. Although it's not a cafe there are a few seats outside which are popular with cyclists. Staff are nice and friendly.

Food is lovely but way too expensive for what you get

Great place to grab a breakfast sandwich (and some dinner as well). Good selection of fresh sandwiches, pies, cakes, fresh bread etc. Highly recommended

Stopped here for rolls and square sausage, after being on the road for over an hour, heading for a funeral. What a disappointment. None of us ate the sausage, it was raw.

Great pie, I recommend a weird combination that turned out surprisingly good, the chicken curry, haggis and cheese pie, the mix seems odd at first, so I wanted to try and I did not regret it at all. They also do coffee, an award winning steak pie, and lovely pastries. I really recommend trying at least once if you are around.

This is a little gold mine for the wow factor in pies and bread and cinnamon rolls, well whatever is in there, is fantastic. First ever haggis pie and gravy. These need to be put on mail order e thinks. Thx for the friendly welcome.

We got pie & sausage rolls & cakes for a family occasion and they were delicious. Worth the money. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Excellent food & excellent service. Well worth a visit. Will definitely be using their services again

Had a bacon roll and a tea - both hit the spot. The baked goods were tempting too but I resisted. Place was plenty busy, so it's obviously a popular spot.

They have the best breakfast roll what I've ever had.

Had lots of different item's from here & as always taste 😋 Lovely. From the Breakfast Rolls, Homemade soup, a good selection of 🥧 pie's, filled Sandwiches 🥪 Cakes, Buns & of course Their APPLE PIE'S Are DELICIOUS 😋 . The Staff are very Friendly and helpful. Certainly would recommend a visit. Savouries are amongst some of the best i have ever tasted, tried lots of their different pies etc and all great, a large selection of different ones and filled rolls are tasty and amply filled. I dont like cakes so not best person to judge but have heard lots of people say they are good.

Great coming in most days for a tasty ham roll with extra slice. No problems at all. Staff so pleasant and great. Love my mint hot chocolate I buy as well. Recommend Apple turnovers delicious. Highly recommend this lovely wee bakery

Always great food, friendly service

Think this place is only 'popular with cyclists' because of the location. There's no particular effort to attract or accommodate beyond that. No outdoor seating or bike racks etc. Coffee was decent but not fantastic. Food is extremely limited for vegetarians and no vegan option (that I saw), it was tasty but not heated, I didn't think to specify, and despite me clearing being a cyclist about to eat it outside they didn't check either.

Fantastic home baking and great pies

Visited this bakery while driving through Carnwath on my way to Dunsyre. Inside it looked like an old school bakery with ovens and other baking equipment. There was even baked good fresh out of the oven, so that's a good sign. As I was only on my way to Little Sparta, so I only ordered a tea and Apple Turnover as a snack. One of the best Apple turnovers I've had in a while. Fresh cream, tangy apple chunks, hard to complain about that. They even have sugar alternatives for my tea. The staff are also welcoming and friendly here as you'd expect in a small town. The only downside is that they don't accept cards, it's cash only.

I've discovered that place by accident to be honest. Just stopped on red light right next to it. Best coincidence in a while. Lovely sponge cake and Scottish pie. Local bakery in small village. Must visit place when you're near.

Stopped to refuel 45 miles into a long cycle

I only discovered this Oasis a couple of weeks ago,when recommended by a neighbour,another intrepid cyclist. On both visits recently,the staff have been attentive and friendly in spite of the current situation. As for the produce,first class,a cappuccino and an iced apple turnover for £3.50...really...?Can't wait till the present restrictions are over and I believe you can sit inside,the group of other cyclists who were there also,couldn't praise the place more highly..Great see place

Produce has improved , but still feel it’s not as good as when the bakery started out. It’s good - but in my personal opinion , just not as good as it once was.

I recently visited this bakery and was pleasantly surprised by the wide selection of cakes and pastries (both warm and cold to your preference). The steak and haggis pie’s are amazing! Staff are attentive and friendly, and I was greeted with a warm welcome.

Out with my mother in law visiting the near by doctors and had a delicious cakes and tasty coffee and tea, lots of variety of gorgeous cakes to choose. Gluten free and vegan, dairy free which was great for others, staff so lovely and nice.

Apologies, this is my personal opinion only.Produce is not as good as it previously was, can’t just put my finger on it, but just not the same. Don’t get me wrong, there is nothing bad about it, my currently my opinion is that it’s not as good as previous.Car parking is a bit haphazard due to property location.
