The best restaurants serving Other cuisines food in South West Scotland

I love this pub Beer gardens front and back Awesome Guinness Music is not too my taste, but that is a personal choice

Was very nice havent been to a buzzworks venue for a few years. Seem to have gotten their mojoe back food was excellent the service was lovely and the atmosphere was nice still a very busy restaurant

I'd been trying to find this place for a few months now and finally did so. Busy for parking, quite a lot of choice of products inside. Prices are higher than expected, but the choice is good. Cafe available and again, busy. Good choice.

Wasn’t what we were expecting. Looking at past reviews and photos we were expecting a little cafe selling toasties, chips etc. we have never been before so had a look on trip advisor. when we walked in it had more of a restaurant feel and had clearly revamped from previous reviews/photos. The restaurant was lovely. Good atmosphere and friendly staff. My two boys had the kids meals. Chicken nuggets & Pizza. They eat the lot so must have been good. My husband ordered a honey chilli burger and a side of nachos. He said he would definitely recommend the honey chilli burger. I had the fully loaded honey chilli fries. There was plenty of chicken in with the fries and the sauce was delicious. I would definitely recommend it! Over all we had a great experience. We will definitely be back!

Prices have went up quite a bit since I last visited and although food was good the service was quite poor, wasn't overly busy and took 20mins to get a food order taken

We arrived well after lunchtime but were happy to find the cafe still open and offering a selection of food. We both had soup which was delicious and a slice of cake. The staff were very friendly and our dogs were happy getting treats and a bowl of water. Highly recommend.

Second favourite shop in the centre. Amazing, knowledgeable, friendly staff who are just lovely. Could happy spend hours in here

Had purvey here after funeral. Have to say it was wonderful..... Way better than any hotels in the area. Layout was ideal to keep people together even if they spread out between function room. lounge, bar and outside. Food was lovely and staff fantastic. Well priced too

Friendly staff but food not so great. I had pancakes, I assume they have been bought from a supermarket as not fresh. They were cold and syrup also cold. My husband had full breakfast, was meant to come with toast but didn’t get any and the fried egg was burnt. He said that the black pudding was nice but unfortunately won’t be back just for that. My coffee was nice but husband’s was a bit cold.

Food never arrived. Have tried to call over 40 times and they aren't answering the phone. Have text as well with no reply.

Small post funeral buffet here. Very nice place, not too big and ideal for our needs. Can't fault any of the staff or service on the day or when booking prior to that. Only very tiny point I could make is that there was too much mayo on the sandwiches....but probably a matter of personal taste as much as anything. Certainly thinking of going back sometime for a proper meal.

Terrible experience! Will never go back. We tried to book it for 5pm on the day we were looking to go - last Sunday afternoon. The member of staff asked if we could go earlier so we moved it to 4:30. We assumed this is because it closes at 6pm on Sundays. We were taking two people along with us for as a treat for them. We arrived at the door and the place was in darkness but the door was open. We walked in and there was a guy sitting at a booth at the very back of the room who shouted down to us that they were closed. I explained that we’d booked a table for 4:30pm and he simply shouted back at us “aye well something happened the night”. He didn’t apologise for not being able to take us. He didn’t apologise for any inconvenience. He didn’t lift his head from his plate of food. He didn’t move out of his seat to come see us at the front. We just had to walk out of the door baffled and embarrassed as we had two people with us who we needed to feed. This was our first AND LAST visit to this place. This could have been dealt with much better and we might have given it another chance but not based on our experience. When I’ve mentioned this to friends or neighbours a couple of people have asked me if it was a particular person (I won’t mention their name here) but all that says to me is that this person has previous and this wasn’t the first time they’ve been bad. Manners cost nothing mister!!!
