Walked in off the street and got a table away. Order food was served within minutes ,excellent service

Poorest behaviour from manager/owner. Would absolutely NEVER go back. Visitors from abroad and myself hardly spent 5 minutes in this ghastly poor behaved staff. Went to Tempura restaurant 4 doors down and the difference was night and day. Tempura golden review, swan less than poor and never be back

Just the best Brilliant staff great food excellent service

I can not express how delighted My family and I came to this restaurant. The staff were absolutely fantastic with a welcoming attitude, all the guests were happy, the food was incredible, decently priced, the manager (owner I think) was so happy to help always making sure guests were happy, not only once I saw a frown on her face. Even took the time to speak to us. This is a place we’re I would drive to frequently to eat, knowing the service the provide. Plus the Banoffee CHEESECAKE…. I would’ve bought every piece. Amazing establishment, keep up the great work. What a team you have there.

Large portions home style cooking. Very good. Sweet n sour chicken with rice in chips plus soft drinks for two for £19 all in. Fantastic.

Just left here and had to leave a review. We have eaten in many restaurants but the food,attentivness and friendliness is 10/10 for here Beautiful food ..good portions..well presented. Great customer service.The staff are friendly and interested in their customers. They make effort to speak to you and your children. We was gifted a pencil drawn signed picture on a napkin of my partner that a regular customer had drawn secretly .. he left it with staff and left ... this is something he does and made us smile ... what a lovely thing to do ...Thank you to you we loved it . A must visit when in troon its like visiting friends !

Third time we have been in the swan in troon for takeaway roll and cheese full of strong cheese and husband's roll and bacon had loads of bacon in it and a nice touch the roll and bacon was wrapped in tin foil to keep it piping hot food is lovely lady and many serving were lovely and friendly

Happened to visit Troon today and was looking for a place to eat. Found this gem of a place and my wife and I decided to have lunch. We ordered from the lunch section of the menu and my wife ordered the Tempura chicken and I ordered the lasagne. When the plates arrived the portion was massive and the Tempura that came had big pieces of chicken, chips and a side salad and the guy who I presume was the owner asked if my wife wanted garlic mayo as well as the chilli dip which my wife accepted. My Lasagne came with chips and a side salad and it was big, hot and very very tasty and my wife's food was also hot. We also decided to have a desert - it was rude not to as we were sitting in a booth opposite the desert cabinet. My wife ordered a meringue and I had caramel apple sponge. The meringue was fresh, had a gooey, chewy bite to it with cream, strawberries and grapes. The waitress suggested the caramel apple sponge to have it warm and asked if I wanted ice cream or cream, i chose ice cream - that too was also a big scoop and all the cakes/deserts look all home baked/made. So for two good size portions for lunch & desert and 2 cans of irn bru came to £28. They sell alcohol too and I'm sure I saw bottles of wine for £12. I will definitely be back as this place is amazing, staff welcoming, friendly, warm and has just a good thing going for itself.

For a Scottish restaurant (we're dutch), it was amazing! Cheap prices for decent local food! Definitely recommend! Frendly staff! good service!

The best place to eat Dunlop and Agnes are brilliant so are the staff And the food is amazing , My mum has had a few family parties in the swan and everyone especially Agnes has went all out to make them really special well done to all at the SWAN

My husband and I had lasagne it's a must delicious, haven't had a bad meal food his great so is there wine 😋

Our friend had a lovely birthday lunch today in the restaurant. She is in a wheelchair and she was were catered for so well, the staff were so attentive and couldn't do enough for us. The food was delicious and presented so well . Would highly recommend and definitely be back. Thanks very much

Chicken salad box to carry out amazing 👏

Delicious scampi, chips, salad, tartare sauce and coleslaw. What a plateful! And this was from the Pensioners Menu. Very reasonably priced and so many dishes to choose from. The restaurant was very busy but our waitress still managed a chat and a smile.

The full Scottish breakfast was superb absolutely delicious great value considering the breakfast was loaded with high quality items amazing

Was in here for a light lunch a few days ago and i was very impressed. The food was fresh & tasty, portions were generous and very fairly priced, the restaurant has a lovely ambiance about it and the staff were friendly & helpful. I will definitely be back here again. Great wee place😊

We popped into this little restaurant for lunch whilst on a day trip to Troon. It does exactly what it sets out to do, good wholesome food at reasonable prices. The elderly clientele (us included) obviously enjoyed being there and were well served by friendly, attentive staff. It may not be haute cuisine but it's very good value for money, nothing fancy but well cooked and enjoyable.

This is a definite find, we visited expecting the previous cafe, this blew our mind the very friendly attentive staff, coupled with the excellent food was amazing. Working out how we can visit again soon. I would highly recommend this cafe/bistro/restaurant, you will not be disappointed.

First visit to the new Swan(across street from previous location)Nice staff and decor.Great menu,including pensioners specials(Our first since we got our bus passes)Lasagne and chips fish and chips, gammon steak and chips. All excellent,large portions and piping hot.Wee extras included coleslaw salad fried egg AND pineapple ring .3 cups of tea and 3 cans of juice all for under £30.Great to see this place reopen and we will defo be back.

Good food, staff and decor. Update 4 years later with new site. Still very good food, Staff polite l (forgot drinks but wlwhen we asked for them the staff were polite and got them straight away) went within a week of opening so expected to be a little slow but all in all a good experience and would recommend.

Went to the Swan today for the first time with my daughter and a friend. The restaurant has recently been renovated and it was clean and welcoming with comfy chairs and spacious tables. Service was slow and it was 45 minutes from when we sat down until we got our food. My friend used to regularly eat at their previous restaurant and said she was surprised. Our food came and the portions were really big. The food was freshly made and really tasty. I couldn't eat all mine but my daughter and friend cleared their plates. They also had a nice selection of home made cakes which were HUGE so I bought a couple home for my family. I will definitely return to the Swan as it was gorgeous food for a great price.

Visited 20/7/21. Can’t give any more as I couldn’t eat my meal of mince and chips. Thought someone had tipped a packet of salt into the mince it was ghastly. Granddaughter didn’t want me to say anything but as it was we weren’t asked if we enjoyed the meal when the owner lifted away the plates. Girl who brought meals is lovely and friendly but the owner needs some lessons in courtesy. Think new owners out their depth.

We visited here yesterday on a date day trip after seeing it had an ok star rating. Wish I hadn’t bothered. When we arrived the man asked table for two then barked round to the left. Didn’t show us to our seats and made no attempt to make us feel welcome. He then flung the menus on the table and walked away. He took our order but again didn’t make any attempt to make us feel welcome. When the meals were brought we were asked if we wanted any salt etc and we requested some it was flung on the table on a plate, I’m surprised it didn’t actually break. When the meal was brought, we ordered two steak pie and chips from the £5.95 lunch menu and while the potion was reasonable sized it was of very poor quality. The veg was a mix of overcooked peas, carrot and Brussel sprouts that had gone soggy. The steak in the pie was decent enough but had been cooked with willlie winkie sausages to make it go further which made the whole thing very sweet and not very nice. The chips and pasty was nice but then you can’t really go wrong with this. We had ordered two came of juice at £1.55 each so by my calculations 2 x £5.95 and 2 x £1.55 comes to a total of £15 however when we paid we were charged £17, a difference of £2. Unfortunately due to me having hearing difficulties I didn’t hear him say this and didn’t actually realise id been overcharged until I left the restaurant and to be honest I couldn’t be bothered with the agro for the sake of £2. It is however the principle of the act. I would have happily gave the £2 for good service and good food but I had neither. I’d have thought, after the long period of lockdown that businesses such as this would be doing everything they can to welcome guests and get them back but clearly not. This is one place I’ll not be returning to

Coffee was good but lemon merangue pie was a disappointment. Was going to book dinner but overheard the way manager spoke to his staff and was put off with his attitude. Nice to customers but very rude to his staff. Couldn't wait to leave, felt awkward sitting listening to their conversation. Don't normally post such a negative review but I have to be honest about my experience there

This is an excellent place to visit for lunch/dinner we have been in several times and know the staff well. Prices are excellent and so is food with good portions sizes.Staff always make you feel welcome This is a must try place

If you like heated up meals this is the place for you . I dont think its a coincidence that Farmfoods is over the road.

We stopped in Troon on our way up North, and so glad we found this little gem. Great service, lovely and quiet, keeping all the social distancing/cleanliness rules, so felt very safe... food was delicious, Fish & Chips with mushy peas for hubby, and I had the most delicious mac & cheese with fluffy warm garlic bread. The service was terrific and very friendly. The prices were amazing too, and we would say, this was the best value for money and one of the tastiest meals we had on our whole 10 day trip. We would certainly go out of our way to stop by again. Excellent.

Where to start. The staff were fantastic so friendly the food was simply amazing. Anyone coming to this area you need to come to the swan restaurant if you are looking for fantastic food at a great price. Would highly recommend
