I come here every now and again if I have to go into the Irvine branch of B&M. This place is very popular usually we will come pick up a bit of lunch. Usually a couple of cheese burgers and chips and couple of drinks. Usually you get your order pretty quick however sometimes you can have a bit of a wait only due to the places popularity. The chuck wagon is good value for money and good quality food. With friendly staff. They will continue to receive my custom 10 out of 10
We stopped here for lunch while passing through and were so happy we did. It was fantastic, the food was delicious, plenty of choice and prices were reasonable.
We will stop here again as its a hidden gem!
Delicious fresh traditional homemade food, even the side salad could have been a meal in itself - included mildly spiced rice and creamy pasta. Lovely staff, incredible views, cosy happy atmosphere. Great selection of teas, proper coffee and ice creams! Baked goods looked lovely too. GF & Vegetarian/Vegan friendly. Disabled access and great entertainment/themed evenings planned throughout the week.
Was over from Northern Ireland visiting friends who live in the nearby area last week, the food was absolutely beautiful and the two ladies who run the business couldn’t have been any nicer, friendly atmosphere, great service and amazing food. The menu had lots to offer. I went for the ‘Salt & Chilli Chicken’ and it was absolutely delicious and the Caramel Apple Pie was phenomenal! We all will definitely be back on our next visit over, thanks again everyone 😊

Visiting area with family and all wanted a Thai meal for our last night in Ayr. Excellent food, lovely building and hosts were superb. Condensed Menu and decent size portions. It was a great meal and we would all go back when visiting the area again.
A warm welcome awaits you in this little friendly restaurant by the campsite in the village. Lots of delicious options for veggies and vegans including deserts.

Food- everything was really nice (fish cakes were small and only got 4 bits- reason for 4/5).
Service- women who took my order over the phone was nice . Time management of restaurant was very poor. When I ordered I was told 45 minutes, I clarified on the phone asking if it was actually 45 mins or should I come down later as I just didn’t want to be stood about (which happened last time I ordered when I waiting in the car after being told 5-10 mins. I went back in 20 mins later and get told the fryer had just broken and got half the order with no apology). I was then told actually to come in 55 mins- totally fine for a Saturday evening. I arrived a hour after placing the order and get told 5-10 mins and to wait in my car. Long story short it took another 25/30minutes. Original pick up time-50 mins, actual 85 mins.
My issue is not necessarily with the wait time itself but with the fact that there’s an obvious mismanagement of timings that’s then put onto the customer. If you only have one member of staff cooking account for it when telling someone their pick up time or don’t accept the order if you need to focus on tables in the restaurant. I was then made to feel like I was in the wrong ‘you can see it’s only me in here’ and ‘I asked you to wait in your car’ (I did for 15 mins). I sympathise to a point but you knew your capacity when accepting the order so the onus of that is not with me. I did receive an apology when I explained my frustrations but I can’t say it felt sincere. Food was tasty tho but not worth the stress.
