Pad Taye Hamilton in South Lanarkshire

First time trying pad t'aye and won't be the last. What a fantastic little hidden gem in Hamilton. Had the crying tiger bites for starter and massaman curry for main. Crying tiger bites were some of the best starters I've had in in an Asian restaurant, absolutely bursting with flavour and heat and the lime coriander dip was exquisite. Very chilled atmosphere , you would feel like you have your own private dining room , and the staff are all very friendly and attentive without being overbearing.

Food was amazing, the staff are so nice and friendly and the place is a wee vibe. Totally recommend it!

This place is a must try! Staff were so kind and very chatty, they also gave us some free crackers and plum sauce ( delicious) which we thought was a very nice touch! Our starters and mains were both amazing, the Panang curry was just delicious! Fish cakes and the tiger beef bites to start are a must try. Can’t wait to go back to try the tasting menu out!

I’ve just literally finished my dinner. At last I’ve found somewhere that tastes and reminds me of Thailand. Thai green curry and fried rice hit the spot. Gyozas were really tasty. Fantastic

6 course tasting menu for me and the Mrs. Fabulous food and service from start to finish - dont let the fact it's in Hamilton put you off.. Its proper Thai food, cooked in a fab, cosy environment. would definitely go again

Delicious food, well worth paying for. We'll be coming back! Plenty of vegan options too which isn't easy to find in the area.

Date night with my hubby at Vegan taster menu. Hubby was not overly joyed at going to a Vegan night but I can honestly say he was plesantly surprised the food was so tasty!! I could tell he enjoyed it with the almost licked clean plates. My husband and I both are not Vegan but I thought the menu looked great and it didn't disappoint, fresh ingredients full of flavour... Delicious!! The staff and chef were great, really friendly, nothing was a bother. If you are thinking of going..YOU NEED TO!! I've already been on to friends and family to arrange nights outs when restaurant opens in February. Would highly recommend

Checked out Pad T'Aye recently. I was blown away. The place is run by Liam, and you can tell he’s all about quality and making customers happy. The vibe is super cosy, kind of like a little Scottish nook in the middle of Hamilton. The food? Seriously good. Fresh ingredients, and you can taste the difference. But what really made my visit special was the service. It's like everyone there genuinely cares about your experience. They’re super friendly and make you feel at home. If you’re looking for a spot with great food and even better vibes, give Pad T'Aye a try. Liam and his team are doing something pretty cool there.

Working in the area so popped in to try this Thai . I have tried Thai food all over the world while travelling away and I can honestly say that the taste of this one is completely different to anything I have tried before . Very impressed and will be returning . The crying tiger starter is slightly over priced for what you get I my opinion but apart from that I give this place 5 star

Just had a delicious meal at Pad Taye. The food was soo tasty, fresh and cooked to perfection. Service was really friendly too. This is a wee gem in South Lanarkshire, we'll definitely be coming back regularly.

I have wanted to try this place since the popup in Chapel hall, it absolutely blew my socks off! 10/10, the Chef and Waitress made us feel very welcome and the place has got a really cool vibe to it! My fav was the Massimo curry, the sauce was lovely! The Green tai sauce was delicious and all our starters were perfect, especially the beef! We had a table full of food and a drink each and we only just broke over £50, very reasonable for what we had. This was an experience and will be sure to go back!

Such a tiny restaurant but this is what made it so much better, the experience felt really intimate and the staff were so lovely. This might be our favourite restaurant in Hamilton now! We had the panang (I had prawn, hubby had chicken) and it was gorgeous. We also got to try the cracker with some laab sauce which was stunning. This is cash only which is understandable due to the size of the restaurant. We'll absolutely be back soon for the tasting menu. Highly recommend to everyone!

Having had Thai food alot,this was my first experience at Pad Taye Hamilton and I wasn't disappointed. We had fish cakes , chicken green curry and king prawn pad Thai,the flavours were delicious,it was a takeaway we got I can't wait to go for sit down meal in such a unique resteraunt Hope to see you very soon 🙂

This restaurant is AMAZING! Not only are the staff really friendly & attentive but the food is insanely delicious! I cannot recommend Pad T’Aye enough, just a shame its a 720 mile round trip for us! If you are in Hamilton…book a table, you won’t be disappointed!

I dont even know where to start with our experience tonight, the food was to die for, Liam and his team were so welcoming, made a dish not on the menu for our fussy daughter and all in all made it a lovely night with the most amazing food. We had, Crying tiger beef bites Bbq street chicken bites Chicken panang with fried rice option Duck fat curly fries Prawn tempura Green thai mussels Shrimp prawn crackers (specially handmade chicken nuggets for fussy child 🙈😂) We also paid £5 corkage which is a great idea. I'm a fussy eater and wasn't sure what I could and would eat but everything i had was absolutely amazing and left me wanting more and more and can't wait to go back, whilst there we booked our next night for the taster menu 🥰🥰🥰 the crying tiger bites were the best thing ever and definitely my favourite but im kicking myself that I didn't get it as a main 😂 Absolutely brilliant wee spot and highly highly recommended. Went for a meal with my sister and it was amazing. The food was out of this world, and the staff could not be nicer or more helpful. I have been craving the massaman curry since I left! I'll be recommending it to everyone as it is worth every penny!!

We were invited to try and to provide an unbiased review on Pad T’Aye in Hamilton. Our full video review can be found on Instagram and TikTok under TheOliveTreeFamily For starters, we got the corn fritters and the Thai fish cakes. Freshly made, definitely nothing from the freezer here. They came with these dipping sauces. This was the sweet plum sauce. But this sauce here, they called it the Laab sauce, it was so good. It is made with chilli, mint and coriander. This is a the sizzling Crying Tiger Beef dish. My eyes lit up when it came out. It’s a 28 day aged ribeye steak with a Thai twist. I got it with duck fat chips. My son got the king prawn fried rice. It comes with these massive butterfly cut tiger prawns. The rice has a lovely flavour too. Definitely different to Chinese style fried rice. We just had to try their Pad Thai given as it’s their signature dish. It did not disappoint. They have a Tasting Menu on the last Thursday of every month. This is a 6 course sit in dining experience. It gets booked out fast, so be quick! Opens from 4pm and closed Tuesday and Wednesday 10/10 for us, and we will be back soon!

Tried Pad T’aye for the first time last night. My daughter had been desperate to try out the restaurant and we got a carry out. The food was delicious and so incredibly fresh. We all really enjoyed it and will certainly be going back. Give this place a try you won’t be disappointed 👍🏻👍🏻

Tiny restaurant with just a couple of tables, which is why you need to make a reservation - quickly full. The food is really savoury and enjoyed everything! From outside you see dark curtains, but don't let them fool you. Ambiance is mellow Asian.

First time at pad t’aye, The owner and chef was was lovely and somwere The waiting staff. The chef came out and had a wee chat with us and got a bit of background on the business and previous food places he has had. The food was amazing, couldn’t fault it in anyway other than that we could have easily ate double the amount it was that tasty! Both myself partner and children enjoyed it and all had plenty of compliments to give the ched though full mouths 😅 Definitely be back very soon!

Hands down, the best Pad Thai I've had on two continents. The tofu fried rice is also amazing 🤩😍 All this, combined with a stellar service. Well worth the 30 minute drive. Highly recommend and defo will be back!!😊

Tiny restaurant, huge flavours! If you’re a fan of Thai food then you should definitely book a table. A surprising and amazing discovery when we were visiting family in Hamilton. Hopefully Liam has the success he deserves, and can maybe move to larger premises so more people can enjoy his delicious food!

Not one to usually leave reviews but I couldn’t pass up this opportunity!!! The chef and owner is a self taught Thai cuisine guru! The food was authentic and delicious. The dishes have a great balance in flavour and for anyone that likes a spicy kick I highly recommend this place. Coming from Australia I have tried many Thai restaurants and I can honestly say that Liam has perfected the dishes.

Honestly couldn't fault the food, staff or atmosphere. I'd spent some time in Thailand, and the massaman curry tasted better than when I was over there. Really friendly and helpful staff, I will definitely look to be back soon and try the owner/chefs taster menu and the seafood dishes, really knowledgeable and went out of their way to make us feel welcome and let us know about upcoming events!!!

Arrived late in Scotland from Australia and did not have a booking. They accommodated us so well. Was also surprised by the rating they had received when we read it in Australia. After our meal it was totally deserved, great Thai food, great service and the tight location adds to the Thai experience. Couldn’t recommend highly enough!

Tried for first time tonight with a friend as I walked past a few times and never ventured in however I’m glad I did (for collection) Food was honestly beautiful and you get a lot for the price so value for money in my opinion. Gave us some free gyozas as there wasn’t enough chips left haha 😂 I will be purchasing gyozas next time, absolutely loved them! Was only in for 5 minutes but the staff were very welcoming and friendly. I will definitely be back soon : )

We love Thai food so when we heard about this place we had to book. Turned up and the staff could not have been better, very friendly and gave a nice welcoming almost family like feel to the place. I have eaten Thai food in many places including Thailand and it was exceptional. Highly recommend to anyone. We loved it so much we booked a taster night in a few weeks. Cannot wait.

Been wanting to try here for ages and finally got round to it on Friday night. Can’t fault anything. The food is delicious & the most authentic we’ve had outside of Thailand. Definitely recommend!

Absolutely 10/10 some of the best Thai food I've ever had

I was looking forward to eating at Pad T’Aye and I was not disappointed! I ordered the Crying Tiger Beef Bites (these are a must try!) and the Thai Green Chicken Curry with Jasmine Rice. Both dishes were excellent and a match to the food I have eaten in Thailand. Liam is a very good chef and he is very passionate about achieving authentic Thai flavours which he absolutely nailed! Holly provided excellent service and the place has a great vibe. A real hidden gem and I highly recommend anyone to try it out!

The food is fresh and the flavors and ingredients are authentic Thai. We have a lot of Thai restaurants where I live in southern California, and the food here is just as good as anything we have in Socal. Great service and friendly atmosphere. Give this place a try! You won't be disappointed!

Small restaurant but amazing staff and food up there with the best Thai we have had!

We had the pleasure of being the only customers at the time we were there. Liam, the Owner, and the young lady who was our waitress? Treated us with the utmost kindness, respect, and generosity. I've ever seen in a restaurant! The flavors were absolutely off the chart good! Their attitude was one of amazing generosity. I wish I could remember the young lady's name. She was a perfect waitress. If you get a chance this worth a stop .

Had a takeaway on collection - chicken pad Thai. Great portion size and food was fresh, tasty and piping hot.

Amazing food cooked fresh to order. Fish cakes were moist and tasty, crying tiger beef bites were delicious and, the green curry was flavourful & aromatic. From the day specials we ordered lobster pad thai which was incredibly good. Why then 4 stars and not 5? Music was a bit too loud to the point that made it challenging to keep a conversation. I also had brought a beer to enjoy with my meal, but the 5£ corkage seemed a bit excessive for just one beer. However, the food makes up for it all and we will definitely be back, or order to enjoy at home.

Small, unassuming, intimate & awesome! Visited here for the first time with my wife about 2 weeks ago for our anniversary dinner! The couple who own & run the place were awesome hosts - starters and mains were equally as good - the crying tiger beef bites mmmmmhhh - can’t wait to try next time as a main but they offered me fresh Lobster 🦞 which was available for the first time and the chef rustled it up as a Pad Thai dish - it was absolutely delicious (wish I had taken some photos) 😋 Highly recommend it -can’t wait for my next visit! Just had a fantastic meal from Liam at Pad T’aye. One of the best Massaman curries I’ve ever had! We’ll worth a visit if like me you are staying in one of the local hotels and want something quick and tasty.

We’d stayed in Hamilton for a night and needed somewhere to grab some food. After finding Pad T’aye online we’d called to book a table. We were told it was BYOB (bring your own booze) so grabbed a bottle of vino from asda on the way over. We were also told it was cash only so quickly bypassed the cash point. We were greeted by the super friendly team at Pad T’aye. They showed genuine interest in their customers. 2 of us were vegans and 1 child and they catered for everyone perfectly! Everything was freshly made and you could taste the fresh herbs. Even tailoring child’s food based on his taste which you just don’t really get that kind of food and attentiveness these days. Sooo delish! The team are happy to share the story of how the restaurant came about from food truck to restaurant. Absolutely would 100% recommend! Hoping to be back when we’re next in Hamilton.

We drove down from East Kilbride to get a takeaway, food was fantastic definitely worth going down to Hamilton for. Staff really friendly talking to us while we were waiting.

Great little place for anyone who is looking for tasty and yet authentic fusion thai food. Located in the central area of Hamilton town centre right across the police station. We ordered drunken noodles and a serve of the crying tiger steak with crackers on the sides with delicious green curry and panang curry sauce. The level of spiciness of the dishes are totally customisable, just let the waiter know!!Everything was very delicious. The wait staff and the chef are very friendly too! I would highly recommend for anyone. P.s. There is fried black scorpion on the menu for someone who is adventurous enough to try.

Heard of Pad T’aye through a friend & their recommendation was spot on. Although it’s a small menu it is well balanced and varied. The starters & dishes are delicious. Warm & friendly venue, embracing urban street food to a high quality. Will be back soon.

Actually one of the loveliest places I've ever eaten! The food was amazing !!! The cheesecake was to die for and the whole place was just so welcoming and the owners are lovely. Defo be back

An absolutely stunning & authentic Thai restaurant. First glance, it’s absolutely tiny inside. However, at night when the fairy lights are on & the tuk tuk is lit up, it’s just so intimate & magical. I can imagine it being perfect for date night. We went for the special which was a prawn larb, then the crying tiger beef bites. The beef bites are to die for! I loved the thai green curry! The pad thai was good but just a little bit spicier than I prefer it. A must try in Hamilton! The staff are so lovely too. Can’t recommend them enough.

Second time for me trying this place. What a find! Me and my wife have been lucky enough to visit Thailand and this is a great find local to us and it's very authentic Thai food... highly recommended 👌 We've tried a few things now off the menu and cannot find fault, (The Fish Cakes, Tiger Beef, Pad Thai and Panang & Green Curry's) me and my wife 1st dined in the restaurant a month or so ago, healthy portions, excellent value for money and the service and the vibe in the restaurant was awesome!! We got a take away tonight and the food was delicious too! Do yourselves a favour get booked and try this wee local gem 😊

Had a lovely meal in this unique restaurant. It may be small but it packed a powerful punch. Service was very attentive and who doesn't love complimentary nibbles whilst you are waiting on your meal. Starters - thai fishcakes were delicious with a nice kick to them, weeping tiger bites were extremely tasty. Mains - green Thai curry was absolutely delicious really fresh flavours with big plump prawns, Rib-eye steak massaman curry with steak cooked to perfection with flavoursome sauce. Hidden gem, will definitely be back.

If you like Thai food - you MUST try Pad Taye! Liam and Holly have worked extremely hard to make this a fantastic, authentic experience of deliciously amazing fresh Thai food! We had the Corn Fritters (Highly recommend!) and Prawn Tempura to start, Pad Thai and Green Curry for main. The food is outstanding as it is made with fresh ingredients directly from Thailand. Having tried many Thai restaurants in Glasgow and the surrounding area, this is the most flavourful food I have tasted, and portion sizes are very reasonable. 10/10!

Stumbled upon this little gem when searching for somewhere to eat in Hamilton. What a treat!! Such authentic flavours and Liam and Holly are very knowledgable. Also very good for gluten free and vegan options. Not to be missed !!!

Nice wee tucked away place. One of hamiltons hiddens gems. Run by a lovely team that always asks how you're doing. They are really friendly and helpful. Food is flavorful and unlike any other places in hamilton, well priced and a must visit!
