Pad Taye Hamilton in South Lanarkshire

Food- everything was really nice (fish cakes were small and only got 4 bits- reason for 4/5). Service- women who took my order over the phone was nice . Time management of restaurant was very poor. When I ordered I was told 45 minutes, I clarified on the phone asking if it was actually 45 mins or should I come down later as I just didn’t want to be stood about (which happened last time I ordered when I waiting in the car after being told 5-10 mins. I went back in 20 mins later and get told the fryer had just broken and got half the order with no apology). I was then told actually to come in 55 mins- totally fine for a Saturday evening. I arrived a hour after placing the order and get told 5-10 mins and to wait in my car. Long story short it took another 25/30minutes. Original pick up time-50 mins, actual 85 mins. My issue is not necessarily with the wait time itself but with the fact that there’s an obvious mismanagement of timings that’s then put onto the customer. If you only have one member of staff cooking account for it when telling someone their pick up time or don’t accept the order if you need to focus on tables in the restaurant. I was then made to feel like I was in the wrong ‘you can see it’s only me in here’ and ‘I asked you to wait in your car’ (I did for 15 mins). I sympathise to a point but you knew your capacity when accepting the order so the onus of that is not with me. I did receive an apology when I explained my frustrations but I can’t say it felt sincere. Food was tasty tho but not worth the stress.

I’ve been wanting to try here for a while, and I couldn’t be more glad that we did today. We love Thai food but have struggled to find somewhere that is authentic & tasty locally since we moved to Lanarkshire - until today. The food was fresh & tasty with generous portions, and the staff were so lovely. So much so that they recommended some dessert places. My husband & I never normally shut up and barely said a word to eat other the entire time we were eating - the food was just THAT good. If you’re looking for great food, a lovely atmosphere and good chat then get this place booked asap.

Food is 10/10, honestly the Thai food I’ve eaten in the Uk ! Wish there was more seating but not a big deal considering the food is so good !

Tried this restaurant last night for the first time and loved the food. My husband ordered the Gyozas which were very tasty and the drunken noodles for me were the best I’ve tried. They were spicy but I love food like this. We went to Thailand last August and loved the food so to have this on our doorstep is great 💯 The pictures don’t do our food any justice , the lighting was dull but made the ambience just right for an intimate dinner. The service was amazing and we had a great chat with the owner she was so nice and will definately be back 😃

Really really really bad . Recieved a gift voucher for £100. Waited 45 mins even tho when I ordered app said 20 mins. When I went into collect the food the order wasn’t started . Unpleaseant Chap says he was just about to start my order. When I went to pay for my food with the gift voucher the chap said he wasn’t accepting it as just eat take 26% commission from him. My order was for £80 so he was getting an extra £20 from me anyways. He wasn’t interested in taking my voucher .To be honest it was a blessing in disguise place looked filthy. I don’t think the guy could spell Thai never mind cook it.👍

I visited this restaurant with my friend, who has celiac disease, and we were both absolutely impressed! The fact that 99% of the menu can be made gluten-free is truly amazing and such a rare find for those with gluten intolerance. We ordered steak, gyoza, fish cakes, and pad Thai, and every dish was simply outstanding—flavorful, fresh, and beautifully presented. The staff were incredibly kind, attentive, and knowledgeable about gluten-free options, making us feel completely at ease. It’s not often you find a place that caters so well to dietary needs without compromising on taste, and we’re already planning our next visit. Highly recommended!

Got a just eat delivery, very disappointed, was over an hour late, food was cold bland and missing dipping sauce for my tiger beef,and I had to remove the shit sack from the prawns 🤮 So disappointed as I had the exact same meal in the restaurant and it was first class

Hands down on of the best. Maybe the best Thai's I've ever had. Rich with flavour and spices, everything was stunning. The crying beef for starter a mega highlight for us. This chef is phenomenal, highly highly recommend

Never leave a review on anything but the food from here is outstanding, highly recommend the steak and the massaman curry, especially if you've never tried thai food before.

First impressions were that the place is beautifully designed and looked so cool. The little heater next to our table made it very cosy aswell. For starters we had the steak bites, corn fritters and chicken skin all of them were incredible but the chicken skin was on another level! The mains really stole the show though. The chicken drumstick noodles and the massaman curry were the best Thai food we’ve ever had. Both so rich in flavour and you could tell everything was made fresh! The service was 10/10 and you really felt welcome and looked after. Couldn’t recommend this place enough, and can’t see ourselves ever going anywhere else for Thai food. 😁 value for money is incredible!

Took over 2 hours from ordering for food to come. I was told I had received a text which I did not. Food was cold and sauce was all over the boxes, it was a mess.

This is unfortunately probably last time I order we order from here. It’s been 2.35hours for 2 drunken noodles and skin, food has never been bad but their just eat quote time is 25-40 mins delivery and we’re 2.5 hours in with to saying on the way 50mins ago. Love the place but this is last order for us, no food is worth this wait.

Absolutely bizarre Pad Thai. Didn’t taste right on any level.

Food was tasty and fresh, but wait time was abysmal. Ordered for collection which said it would be 50 mins, arrived on time and was told it wouldn't be too long and to wait in the car. Waited for a full further hour in the car before food was ready. Restaurant could have just been more realistic in the first place about wait and then we could have decided to order or not - and could have waited warm in the house!

This was the best Thai food we have had and that includes Thailand and Glasgow. We travelled 150 miles to check it out and it was worth every mile. Hope you go from strength to strength Pad T’Aye. We’ll be back, thank you so much!

This is a very small restaurant, if wanting to dine in best to phone in advance. The food here is simply delicious, so much flavour and freshly prepared. Fast becoming our favourite dine in and takeaway. It is a little out of the way for us (Cambuslang) but worth it for the quality of food. Biggest problem I have is deciding what to have. So far I've had the Pad Thai, Drunken Noodles, Masaman curry, Thai green curry and pineapple rice, plus various starters, all have been delicious. Last time I ordered 2 mains (Masaman curry and pineapple rice) as I couldn't decide. Staff are lovely, always happy to chat to the guests and discuss the meals. Kitchen is open so you can see exactly how everything is cooked. Cash only and no alcohol license but you can bring your own bottle and pay a small corkage charge (they have soft drinks and alcohol free options).

Staying locally with family and was looking for somewhere I could eat (celiac disease) after a day out in Stirling. The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful regarding my dietary requirements. The food was incredible. So flavoursome and tasted really authentically made. The restaurant itself is really cool and well decorate. Whenever we are next up in Scotland we will definitely be coming back.

I've never had sevice so dreadful, so I got told by a friend the food is amazing but the wait is an shambles , so I phoned up at 4.20 when they opened and I asked for my order off 4 currys 4 rice's and some chips and crackers . So they laddie on the phone said come at 5.15 and it will be ready , I phoned up at 4.50 again just to make sure 5.15 was fine and they said yes , so I got there at 5.15 and the owner said our delivery driver will bring it to the car In 5 minutes, half an hour latter I go in the shop asking and its still not ready and rice cooker had broken "not my problem" so me thinking I'm getting 4 fried rice instead off 4 jasmine I'm thinking that ok , so 15 minutes after that 6 o'clock we get our food but it was 1 bag off chips down and only 2 rice's out the four , so I went back and the owner had the audacity to tell me to go to another Chinese and buy rice or to give the food back, very bad for business, the food was freezing cold by the time we got home , complete waste of money and a birthday dinner, GET A CLOCK OR MORE STAFF ITS NOT HARD ... refund pending, lol joke, and maybe this will get deleted 🤔

The delivery time was longer than expected; although they called and let us know which is appreciated. The started of steak is outstanding cooked so well. Unfortunately the pad Thai and also the chick fried Korean rice were both a no from us, just too much fishy taste/soy. Salty. Both inedible and left unfortunate as it’s an expensive takeaway! £7 for two glass bottles of cola. Wil maybe try something different next time.

AMAZING! Was in today for my anniversary, first time trying & we will definitely be back. The food was fantastic, the service amazing & the chef is a cracking guy, came out & was telling us his story (his hard work has definitely paid off). The atmosphere in the place is brilliant, shop is small & cozy. If you haven't been you really need to give it a try.

Me and my partner went on Saturday the 31st August for the first time. everyone was very friendly and the food was superb 👌 , so much so my partner who's pregnant went into labour the next morning. a small restaurant but packs a punch with its food and atmosphere would definetly go back again .

Went for the Wednesday night steak deal, which was fantastic…. But the drunken noodles were ‘emotional’!! Easily the best noodle dish I’ve ever had. Yes, it was that good!!

Just had the best meal that I have had in a long time in this little unassuming restaurant in Hamilton and it felt like I was transported back to Thailand. From the moment we entered the restaurant until we left we were made to feel welcome and boy did the aroma of food coming out of the kitchen talk to our senses. The portions were generous, fresh and scrumptious!! We started with the corn fritters, followed by sizzling steak, the sauce that came with it was so delicious that we asked for some more and the chicken curry was the best I have ever had and I don’t say the often. If you ever in Hamilton, Glasgow make sure you add this to your places to eat at. Sorry no pictures taken as we were too busy munching 😁

We came here last night. Food was tremendous. Everything was fresh and made from scratch. We had the crying tiger bites, Thai green curryand masaman curry. I asked for my green curry to be a bit more spicy and they accommodated no problem. Highly recommend if you are looking for an authentic Thai meal .

Got a king prawn Thai green curry. Can honestly say these prawns were the best prawns I’ve ever had. The way they were cooked, the freshness, the size, everything. Absolutely stunning.

This place is amazing! We hadn't booked (a Saturday night too!) but they accommodated us just over an hour after we'd popped in, not realising how small it was. The food was amazing, presentation was fab & the staff are so welcoming & friendly. The tastes are divine cannot wait to go back & already planning our next visit! Yeah it's small but it makes for a lovely dining experience. Such great value for money too.

My order arrived 30 minutes late, curry was cold , the restaurant refused to offer me any discount and sent me a message saying sorry we are busy and won’t be giving you a discount due to food arriving 30 minutes late

food was delicious but portion sizes very small. So I struggled with the prices on this basis as I didn't feel good value. If you think that there will be enough to share a portion then think again. I would order again as a treat. £29.70 for two portions of curry and rice and delivery.

ordered the pad Thai and massaman curry for delivery and both were lovely however, the gyozas were missing 1 (only 3 in bag) the duck fat chips were pale, soggy and lacking flavour. Both of which on this occasion were not worth the cost. Shame as we've never had any issues previously but have to be honest about this time
