Beautiful place open in the winter - good service good coffee the food smells lovely and the reviews of the cakes by people sitting around us massively complimentary so we ll be taking some cake home with us after our lunch for sure! I have ordered the chowder and it s amazing!

Stopped for a "fancy" meal while cycling the Heb Way, great decision. Staff were lovely and food was excellent

Pas loin de l'arrêt de train de Glenfinnan mais aussi du début du chemin pour faire le Glenfinnan trail, il est vraiment bien placé. Mais ça explique aussi un tarif un peu élevé. Le personnel est agréable. On peut manger à l'extérieur sur le balcon, avec une belle vue. Mais aussi à l'intérieur, au chaud, confortablement installé(e). Le chocolat chaud et le gâteau étaient bons. Par contre, faites attention aux WCs. C'est un peu étroit.

The deli has become a regular stop for coffees, cakes, or lunches. The food is always great, there are loads of options available and daily specials. Good selection of drinks too, including local beers. Staff are always friendly and attentive, creating a really welcoming atmosphere. Definitely recommend Ness Deli for a stop in the village.

We ate gorgeous food, next to an open fire and were greeted like old friends by staff who made us feel so welcome. Really good value for lovely food in a venue that we could have stayed in all day. Make sure you visit this one.

came for drinks at this interesting pub, didn't eat but saw the food coming out which looked amazing. Enjoyed the interesting history surrounding this pub.

Came here for late lunch with my son and it was great the food , staff and ambience & music too! I had baked potato with salad, coleslaw ( which was homemade, I think, as it tasted really creamy) baked potato was soft and had chicken and bacon mayo with it. Loved it! My son had usual beef burger with fries and think salad .

Excellent lunch here at the weekend - freshly ore prepared, quality ingredients and very tasty. Can highly recommend.

Staff were nice but the sandwiches weren't great, no options for bread and the white bread we were given wasn't fresh. Disappointed

The olive sourdough was delicious and the mackerel pate and hummus were the perfect accompaniment. Loved it! With so much choice, we’ll be back soon

Warm, friendly staff and prompt service. There are some tables at the front but also a lovely room overlooking a small garden through the back with more tables. Dog friendly. We stopped for coffee and cakes (home-made empire biscuit and a scone) but they had a lunch menu which looked good with soup, toasties etc.

Amazing stay at The Dowans. Staff very friendy and room spotless.. Loved the bar and whiskey rooms. We will be back to try the restaurant 💙

Tomamos café dos veces aquí cuando estábamos alojados en Portree. Buen café, pero lo más destacado fue sin duda las rosquillas y galletas - mejores rosquillas que hemos tenido! Sus precios son muy razonables y tienen una gran selección de donuts / pastel. Recomiendo encarecidamente parar en el pasado si estás en Portree - no te decepcionará!

Popped in for lunch on a cold November as a chance to warm up. This is a lovely family run local cafe, always full of local residents which is always a good sign. Staff are always friendly chatty and nothing is too much trouble. Food is always good quality, tasty and homemade. They have a great menu from breakfasts, snacks and light lunches and do a variety of hot & cold drinks. Their banana milkshake made with ice cream is to die for. Highly recommend popping in here if you are in Golspie

Lovely ice cream with an interesting range of flavours. Shop was (no surprises) very busy, but staff still found time to be pleasant and cheery.
