The best restaurants serving Other cuisines food in Highlands and Islands

I was in Aberdeenshire and needing a mid morning fry up when I read good things about Boogie Woogie on TA. Loads of parking right outside which is always good. I was met with friendly staff and most tables were taken. I had the full cooked breakfast and added black pudding and went for an americano. The coffee was great and the food appeared quickly and what a plateful it was. Everything was delicious and it kept me going until teatime. There is a number of locally produced items for sale such as knitwear, toiletries etc as well. Highly recommended

Visiting the brewery was one of the highlights of our visit to Kirkwall. The beer was amazing. The proprietor welcoming.

The young waitress was lovely. However - the older woman was extremely rude. We went on a Saturday afternoon and as we entered the door there were a few people in front of us but the older woman shouted across as we entered the door "I'm only serving hot drinks. I have a bad back and the walk from the train station was unexpected as the station is a fair walk before you find anywhere open, which was a surprise on a Saturday afternoon. Everywhere seemed to be closed but we found the Coffee Bothy which we thought was an answer to our prayers, a chance to sit down and rest my back and have a coffee. How wrong we were, they young waitress told me I could sit at a table while we waited as she could see that I was in pain, bless her, she was so sweet. However the older woman told me I could sit there if I wanted but she would be hoovering in a minute, suffice to say we left as soon as we got our coffee. There were tables and chairs outside so we sat there only to be told by a nice lady who asked if she had at least let us use the toilets that the owner would be taking the table and chairs in in a minute. She kindly told us that we could get a sandwich at the Co-op, and that there were some benches across the car park, which is what we did. Such a shame - during the whole visit to Scotland the lady in the Coffee Bothy was the only rude person we met. One kind lady in the queue even offered to drive us back to the train station. Thank you whoever you are.

What a great meal - Thank you Liz!! It was just so Yummy. The service from Peter was just fantastic. The 4 of us just had a fantastic night. Such a great atmosphere. Good old fashion country hospitality. Thank you all again for a great night.

Visited here last weekend when we were up Staying at Golf View we came here because last time we were in Nairn we came across Jackis n had a lovely wee afternoon all cosy by the fire! This time it was no different the pub was a bit busier but service was great and bar staff are lovely and friendly we will defo be back in Nairn and defo be visiting Jackos! Thank you for the hospitality

Great home-style food; really friendly service; good ambience; dog-friendly. This was our first visit and we would definitely return. Very good value overall.

Stopped in past for a quick coffee and cakes. Was pleasantly impressed with the service, nice coffee and scones. Toilets were lovely, clean and fresh smelling too!

This used to be a great wee place. It's sadly gone downhill. Told we had to wait, which was no issue, but when we got to our table, we had to another 10mins, only to be told they were only taking drinks orders. Ordered a coffee and a soft drink, and it arrived and was drunk before the food order was taken 15mins later!! It's tasty food, but the portions are small, and it's expensive for what you get. My hubby stood at the till for 10mins waiting to pay. Staff were coming and going, and not one apologised for the delay. It used to have a lovely atmosphere with the staff being chatty and helpful. All that is gone, and we are sad to say that we won't return in a hurry. Such a shame.

A wonderful ice cream parlour with great coffee and home baking. The ice cream flavours available are amazing. The home made cakes cater for allergy intolerances. Worth trying out some of the tropical and asian flavours.

Although the cafe was closed. We came here for the Cow Tour. Our guide was very insightful and informative. Got plenty of hugs and kisses from plenty of different cows and the bull. All so soft and easy to get around. The guide was extremely well mannered and was willing to answer any question and give advice on how to handle 11/10 will hug Kate again and pet Angus

Great experience , Anya and Darren are a wonderful couple great personalities and people persons a prerequisite for the "Sidings Cafe" , the quiche and Darren's pastry is to die for likewise Anja's magic cakes . A visit is unforgetable ,

Great little cafe with a nice view. Good coffee and cake, excellent breakfast with dairy free options. Lots of interesting books to browse through. Preferred the breakfast here to the hotel breakfast we had actually paid for, so came back 3 days in a row!

After a long journey this little stop was exactly what was needed. So quaint and met all our needs. I had the best egg Mayo roll ever. My friends enjoyed the ham and cheese toastie and tuna Mayo rolls. They also served one of the best espressos I’ve had. Definitely pleasantly surprised. Would come again.
