Bonne ambiance ! Addition plus que correcte. Je recommande.

We parked at the harbour and popped in on spec on a busy Saturday afternoon and we were made welcome and, with a short wait, a table was found. The staff were lovely. We had a tasty meal of small fish and chips and veggie curry half n half. Well worth a visit, and if you like sport, they have a pool table and big screens showing sky sports.

Was here a few times with my family over this last weekend, service was amazing, really relaxed in the day with a great atmosphere in the evening. The host is super friendly, even let me charge in my vape at the bar. Music seemed to be free and was really good. If I was to pick fault I'd say the food is a little expensive but it is really good, only there for the weekend so didn't mind paying but bit pricey for what it is. Do recommend it though, locals were great.

The service to complete strangers was above and beyond. The barmaid/server was a total sweetheart and couldn't do enough for us, even mopping up my spilled red wine from my coat and bag first, then the table and floor when hubby leant heavily on the table and spilled it. The chef was due to leave early but said he would stay on to do our food and did a lovely job. Such a lovely pub and lovely staff

We had lunch with our dog, at Jackos while on holiday in Lossiemouth. Both food and service were excellent. I had fish and chips with a side of coleslaw and onion rings (probably the best onion rings I have had, to date - they wee huge and had a lovely sweet taste). The fish and chips were excellent, as was the coleslaw. My partner had mac cheese, and was well impressed too. As a bonus, Jackos is dog-friendly! Would recommend.

We were recommended the pub/restaurant by numerous people while we were staying in nairn so we booked a table in advance. On arrival we were seated and given menus however it took quite a while to be served. I ordered a gin but it came in a really small glass and not a gin glass like expected in most pubs.We ordered our meals and in fairness the food was great and would have scored 4 out if 5 but the service in here let it down. We couldn't get there attention and they didn't come back near. We tried to order more drinks but was near on impossible. The kids meals came with deserts and I asked if my youngest could have a mini portion of donuts instead if the choices given. The waitress went to check and came back and said no. So I said that's fine just go for the waffles same as my other daughter. However when deserts were served her waffle didn't appear and when I said about it the waitress said , you didn't want one???? I have no idea how she could have mistaken this but eventually we got another waffle. Again no one came near so we paid the bill and left. Such a pity as food was magic but we wouldn't recommend.

This venue totally lacked any atmosphere. We had not even got our coats off, and seated before we were asked what we wanted to drink. Might have been nice to get relaxed first. I asked what ales they had, and reeled off lagers ? Very poor choice of drinks, wine tasted like it had been open for days. No attempt by the staff to make any conversation, even though it was extremely quiet, about 10 people in total. A very disappointing visit indeed, and a poor show for tourists visiting the town.

We visited Nairn for a week in August 2020 as a family of 8. We had done a little research online before coming and to be honest I didn’t have high expectations for Jacko’s. I couldn’t of been more wrong - it turned out to be our favourite place to visit!Jason the owner was the perfect host and sat us at the same large table when we popped in for drinks. We had prebooked in for food the first part of the week but decided to book for food when we had space. We were a little unsure as the menu doesn’t look that exciting however it was our favourite meal of the whole week and we’d ate at some very expensive places. Before we’d booked for food we mentioned in conversation how we’d not seen Haggis anywhere on the menu, the owner got the chef out to talk to us and said he’d cook some for us even though it wasn’t on the menu and ordered it in especially!! It was absolutely delicious and so reasonable - the men had burgers throughout the week at double the price in other restaurants but rated Jacko’s burger the best by far! Brilliant pub and great service - if ever we were to be in Nairn again it would be the first place we would return too! Thankyou To Jason and his team x

My family and I visited Scotland for 10 days in October 2019. We were visiting from the states. Upon our arrival we were hungry and went to Jacko's Bar for dinner. It was Monday and they weren't serving food because the chef had the night off. Jenni, who was working, was so helpful. She called and ordered Chinese food for us to be delivered to the bar while we waited. I told her we'd be back for dinner. Jenni suggested when we came back to try the Balmoral Chicken that was stuffed with haggis. We then talked about black pudding which was unknown to us.We came back on Wednesday evening and we all had dinner. I had Balmoral Chicken, which was really good! We met Joanne and Russ. Not only did they take extra good care of us but they sent us home with 5 slices of black pudding to try. This was so sweet of them. I tagged them in a post on Facebook showing pictures of my children's reactions to trying black pudding, which was not a hit. It's definitely an acquired taste :)We left Nairn for a number of days but would be back for our last night in Scotland. Jacko's asked through Facebook if we'd be coming back. Well we did and they treated us like old friends. We all agreed that Nairn felt the most like home to us and I believe Jacko's had a part in this.Great place, great food and very friendly, welcoming staff.

Party of four tourists, we intended to walk to another pub in Nairn but Jackos was closer and looked nice.Staff were very friendly and welcoming and the menu looked extensive and interesting.Couldn't fault the bar service or the drinks but, when the food turned up:The prawn cocktails were so OFF that nessie could smell them in her loch. To be fair, the kitchen replaced them and did not charge but I'm certain we would have been ill if we ate them. Perhaps the chef had a cold and couldn't smell properly. Either that or he should be ashamed.Cullen skink soup was lovely.House curries were poor, typical packet dry sauce mix with the cooked meat/onions/mushrooms just stirred in. (I always break my rule of never having a pub curry!)Rest of the meals OK.We were tourists (west country and south wales) and certainly expected a higher standard. Interestingly, does scotland have a hygiene rating scheme like the rest of the country? Such a scheme may raise the standards at pubs like this.

Free Wi-fi with a relaxed unhurried atmosphere. Meals were served promptly and to perfection, portion size left a little room for deserts, and would highly recommend the Raspberry Crachan. Sky Sports on the TVs but volume kept to a reasonable level considering not everyone is there for the football. The pastry top was rather disappointing - it was so dry & flaky as to be impossible to cut or get on your fork. I had to resort to mixing it with the gravy in order to eat it. The carrots and collie were a bit too under cooked for my liking. The chips were also not great - a bit soggy... i'm sure they've never seen any hot oil.

Went for a family meal, 6 of us, absolutly great! Just happened to be steak night too, bonus! So the daily specials board was wasted on us. 3 sirloins cooked to how we preferred at a generous £9.99 each. I have to say, the peppercorn sauce was one of the best I have ever had. The Mrs had fish and chips which looked just as good as the steak. The children had the Kids Chicken Nuggets with chips and the opted for beans. We all cleared the lot, even the children, and they can be particularly fussy with food, but their plates too were clean. Most opted for Hot Fudge Cake for dessert, I had vanilla ice cream and cream, yummy. One of us had apple pie and custard. Again clean plates! A lovely meal and we would definitely return. I do believe they are in the process of having a menu update, even more reason to return. All in all, 6 very good meals and desserts with no faults. Staff were very pleasant and the waiting time next to none. Thank you :)

After a lovely day at the beach, my friend and I were struggling to find somewhere to eat as there’s not many places open on a Monday in Nairn.

Fantastic wee bar with friendly staff. Plenty menu choices, we were delighted to find the chips were home cut and not frozen!!! Food was great! Very reasonably priced! My 9year old want to go back for fajita Friday!

This place has a lovely atmosphere and the staff are quite friendly. I have been here a few time and the the first was the best. Food was delicious. However since then, the past two times is been more average. I think it depends what chef is on! Overall, good food, good staff at a realistic price for what it is.

Stopped in here for a spot of lunch whilst on holiday near Nairn. I had steak, which was cooked perfectly, reasonably priced, served pretty quickly (given that the menu states everything is made to order) and had the most wonderful onion rings with it.

Jacko's menu looks very tempting but although the main part of the meal was well cooked and tasty, the "Half-and-half" chips and rice that came with it was pathetically small. Food is freshly prepared and so anitcipating a wait, coffee was ordered as an aperitif. Eventually, the coffee arrived along with the meal instead of before. We went to the local chip shop afterwards because the main course alone was insufficient to quell our hunger. If you want a fully satisfying meal I recommend that you order some "Sides" to go with it.

Nestled on harbour road in the middle of houses this little bar has lots of charm. With a real coal fire and comfy sofas this bar offers food as well which is ok. They also have live music most weekends to cater for all tastes. Great family pub in the daytime as well. Fairly average prices both at the bar and for food. Good staff also makes this bar worth a visit.

Stopped in with a couple of friends on way back from aberdeen a couple of weeks ago, place looks nice and is quite cosy on the inside, drinks were reasonably priced but we shan't be returning as the bar man at the time (fellow with glasses) came off as having something of an attitude problem and we just felt like an inconvenience rather than welcome. Bar has potential but staff training sorely needed i feel.

Went here twice during our stay, once with the dog and once without. Both times we were met with great food and great service, despite it being much more busier the second time round. Much better than the caravan site restaurant!

This must be one of the worst pubs I have been in. Tables were filthy , floors were sticky and staff were uninterested. We ordered two drinks and could not find a clean table, then after using the toilets and actually feeling the stickiness of the floor , left. There are so many nice bars in this area, if you see it ... walk on by ! Giving it one star is flattering!!

Visited 3 times in 5 days and probably spent more on coffee than we did on merchandise (and Tiso is an excellent shop by the way). Excellent coffee, lovely cake selection and a truly fantastic full English/Scottish breakfast. Staff were friendly and helpful. View to the Cairngorms outstanding and our doggy companions most welcome.

Dreadful food. After waiting for more than 40 minutes our inedible burgers arrived. Mine had 2 pieces of lettuce and a dry patty that was inedible until I added barbecue sauce. By the time the sauce arrived it was cold so even less pleasant. My husband's burger had bacon that was so hard he couldn't cut it. And the same patty. I gave an honest answer when asked about my meal and suggested they needed a new cook. It was the worst meal I have eaten in years. I'm told it used to be good. Avoid it at all costs.

Fantastic to have so many GF options to eat. We both opted for GF pancakes with bacon and maple syrup and a coffee. The coffee was perfection and the pancakes utterly delicious. Big, fluffy and just THE best find in Inverness! Thank you ❤️
