We are a group of 8 and stopped by for lunch. The service was great and the food was perfect. It’s hard to believe that a ham sandwich on white could taste so good. The soup was also excellent. Now the above and beyond. My wife planned a surprise 60th bday party for me that night…our guide contacted our waitress at the Sidings and asked if she could make a cake. The cake was incredible. Above and way beyond.

Had arranged to meet here with a friend. Thankfully, they had booked. We were told on entry at 11.00am we could only have the table till 12.20. The fruit scone was very good. We were reminded again that the table was booked. As we left, people were being turned away as they had no reservation. So, the only downside is time constraint as the friend we met with we haven't seen for a year. And definitely book.

Welcoming, clean and nostalgic. Absolute top marks for food. Had the afternoon tea and it was sublime. Enough of everything, in fact we had to take home some cakes! Everything was fresh and well presented and I got very excited when the train pulled into the station and blew its whistle! Wonderful. 100% recommend this treasure of a cafe. Just remember to book! They get busy. ❤️

We popped in at 12.50 without a booking and were lucky enough to get a table inside. The lady advised us to place our order at the counter promptly, as a few booked tables arrived as we were looking at the menu. Once we had ordered our food was brought out quickly (5mins). We had sandwiches and baked potatoes, the portions were generous and there was side salad, crisps and coleslaw with the sandwiches. Proportions of fillings were bang-on. They had a good selection of cakes (strawberry tart was delicious) and hot and cold drinks. The whole place has a delightful retro atmosphere and decor. The staff were friendly and attentive. It was recommended by a friend and we would recommend a visit to others.

We were recommended this place by friends and loved it! Best baked potato in Scotland, generous sandwich portions with lots of sides, super friendly and quick service, great ambience. The setting is novelty - but it is, in itself, a brilliant cafe too. That profits go to charity makes it all the better.

We came across The Sidings by chance and decided to stop for morning coffee. The cafe is very cosy and quirky, and we enjoyed watching the volunteers maintaining the rolling stock next to the dining car. The lady running the cafe was very welcoming and friendly. There was plenty of delicious-looking home baking on offer. Our scones and coffees were excellent. Prices were good too. The cafe also sells home made jams and some souvenirs of the Keith/Dufftown railway. There is parking on the station forecourt. We’ll definitely go to the Sidings again.

The Sidings Café is in few railcars that are on a siding near the Balvenie Distillery in Dufftown. It is a handy place to grab a bite if you are going to the distilleries as Glenfiddich does not have a café of any sorts. The fare is typical lunch fare such as sandwiches, quiche and soup and the format is really efficient. It was a fun and pleasant lunch that was very quick and fair priced. I definitely recommend it!

We had unfortunately arrived on a non-working day for the trains but our disappointment soon changed to delight when we were told by the station master and his lovely little but delightfully grumpy Jack Russell sidekick that the cafe was open. It was a sunny day but we would rather eat inside in the cool so we had the whole of the train carriage to ourselves. It was just a "snack stop" for us but we could have had a full meal and I am sure we would have loved it. We decided on Scone with butter and Jam (you could have cream as well but we didn't) for me and Bannoffee pie for Hubby along with a cafetiere of coffee to share. Both were lovely and the surroundings and the cafe staff were great. I would definitely recommend this cafe even if it is a non-train day it is worth the trip for the cafe.

I was taking a trip on the railway from Keith to Dufftown and was advised to book if I wanted to have lunch here before my return journey, as it gets busy on train days and there isn't much time. So when I arrived my table was labelled for me. It's a cafe situated in a train carriage which is a great novelty. I ordered a baked potato and later went back for coffee and a cake. The food arrived speedily and the staff were very efficient at coping with the sudden influx of people. It was a great experience that just made the day so much better. It's a little out of the centre of Dufftown so you would have to walk for about 10-15 minutes if coming from the town.

We had a meal at the Sidings Cafe before going on the ghost train ride at Keith and Dufftown railway.....we were all in fancy dress and the ladies couldn't do enough for us!!! We were a large party (19), we had lasagne with garlic bread and salad which was all served promptly and was really yummie....... the sticky toffe pudding and ice cream was devine. We weren't rushed and had a fabulous time there.....would really recommend going there for a lunch or one of their afternoon teas.

We received a very warm welcome. The rooms were all en-suite. They were very clean with tea and coffee making facilities. A perfect stopover for our Moray Coastal walk.

While staying at findhorn bay camp site we decided to try Pizza for a quick meal . We had ham and pineapple pizza , garlic bread with feta dip and finished it off with tiramisu. It did not disappoint, especially the tiramisu.Decent size of pizza , plenty for 2 of us with 2 slices left to eat later .Didn’t have long to wait .

Friendly staff, felt very welcome without being stifled. Lovely cafe with home cooked foods. We arrived in time for lunch service. Great selection for all. I had homemade Cullen Skink, best I have ever tasted! Ordered 2 children's meals too of chicken breast burger and Mac n Cheese. Deluxe hot chocolate was amazing, piled high in cream, Marsh mallows and chocolate. Very reasonable prices for home cooked food. Highly recommended. Busy place and rightly so!

Gréât place to stop for proper coffee (the best in Speyside), snacks, and it’s right next to parking and a secure playground for the kids.
