After a long journey this little stop was exactly what was needed. So quaint and met all our needs. I had the best egg Mayo roll ever. My friends enjoyed the ham and cheese toastie and tuna Mayo rolls. They also served one of the best espressos I’ve had. Definitely pleasantly surprised. Would come again.

Some tourists seem neither to know, care, and nor understand, the remoteness of the place they have come to, or the problems this remoteness entails for anyone running a business in the area. It’s really too much to expect that any shop will always have all perishables at any given point. (I’ve noticed some will only stock milk, bread, etc. if it’s ordered.) But I’m sure most visitors appreciate, as we do, the small miracles ‘Flossie's’ regularly pulls off in keeping this tiny place amazingly well supplied despite the inherent challenges of running a shop hundreds of miles (presumably) away from suppliers — and this year in the midst of a pandemic, too. On top of a truly astonishing range of fresh food and produce and store cupboard basics for such a tiny place we find we often only have to ask the owner if she stocks something for her to have it available next time we call in. I don’t see how any reasonable person could ask for more, or better service. As for the visitor who complained she wasn’t allowed in even wearing a mask, I imagine it’s not been easy for many small businesses adapt their premises at short notice to keep them Covid-safe. Surely it’s better that Flossie’s is still able to open even if it is only like a kiosk (just, I imagine, for the time being) rather than remain closed until whatever necessary work can be carried out? (Actually, from previous visits, I can’t imagine how it would even be possible in this wee ‘hut’.) We’re certainly very happy with this year’s arrangements. And if people don’t want to stand outside to order and they’re staying in the area you can now even order online and get it delivered! Really, what more can a reasonable person expect in a tiny wee hamlet in ‘Europe’s last great wilderness’? A supermarket?

Well I was hoping for better things from the previous reviews. But just back home after a week in a hired caravan Lochinver ( Clachtoll has not came alive yet, and not in my opinion ready for tourists. I found stock low no milk no bread or rolls for Sale. Maybe it’s because of Covid but I thought it was a big disappointment . Either that or she was not ready, a missed opportunity as I never bothered going back again it was so dissapointing. The lady who I assumed was Flossie was very nice however. Get some stock in Flossie and I did not like the kios shop as you could not see what was for sale. And I’m sure if shop was open people would were a mask. There are a few picnic bench outside for use. I heard she serves rolls. Maybe more takeaway than shop? Very pretty little store from outside.

Small store with just enough range of tinned goods and UHT milk etc to survive on when on a camping trip but considering the remote location that’s fine. It’s finest points are the fresh coffee and the excellent smoked bacon rolls cooked to order - £2.50 for two decent rashers of bacon in a white or brown roll. Fresh bread rolls are delivered by a baker twice a week so if you’re there in delivery day buy a few. There’s also a shelf of second hand paperbacks that you can select in return for a donation in one of the collection tins.

I always make my annual pilgrimage to Clachtoll campsite at this time of year and those of you that know the area will know it’s a real pain having to trek all the way to Lochinver for a pint of milk or whatever so Flossies is just the best shop ever for the simple reason that it saves you the 10 mile round trip into town and back but it delivers so much more besides! Marianne and her staff are always welcoming and up for a laugh, the range of goods in the shop is astonishing for such a small space and to top it all she does fish and chips a couple of nights a week which are superb so for such a small shop it really does punch above its weight so if your passing through it’s well worth stopping and having a coffee or a bacon roll or both! More often than not, you would expect to pay a premium for a wee shop parked in the middle of nowhere so I was both surprised and delighted to pay no more than we do in our local shop in Paisley. It seems Flossie's is something of an institution: what is little more than a small tin shed puts our local corner shop to shame in both choice and quality. Went in past for some groceries and couldn't believe the selection in such a small area. The young girl behind counter was so friendly and helpful. People were also eating outside, looked great.

Tiny roadside wooden hut packed with food options. Great place to stop for tea, cake and sandwiches. Sitting in the garden on a sunny day can't be beaten.

Called here for a coffee break whilst touring around. It packs a lot into a small place. A mix of shop, cafe, coffee shop. Friendly helpful staff. The express was nice too.

Called in to Flossies today. Inside the wee blue shed is a treasure of assorted groceries, snacks and drinks. We took a couple of hot drinks and some shortbread and sat in the sun (optional). Excellent fare and friendly service.

A great place to get your essentials but they also serve great snacks and awesome coffee (not recommended for people with heart or psychological problems) easily the best in the highlands. Great location and fantastic staff. More fun than Loch Ness

We went for takeaway before getting ferry to Stornoway. Ordered an egg roll and bacon and egg roll. On opening when we got to our car we could not believe how poor they looked. Toasted stake rolls, overdone fried eggs and overdone bacon. Will not go back to this cafe again!
