Came here for late lunch with my son and it was great the food , staff and ambience & music too! I had baked potato with salad, coleslaw ( which was homemade, I think, as it tasted really creamy) baked potato was soft and had chicken and bacon mayo with it. Loved it! My son had usual beef burger with fries and think salad .

Bar/brasserie très bien. On y mange bien à des prix raisonnables. Nourriture de brasserie mais dans ce genre de lieu rien de choquant Personnel très souriant et serviable

We stopped in for a late lunch & ordered the nachos & cajun chicken burger. The cajun chicken burger was delicious! We were splitting each & were fighting over the burger - LOL! Fries were hot & delicious as well. Service was great.

Had a very warm welcome when we went to R&Bs for a family dinner. Eight of us were well catered for by the friendly staff. The menu was very good with lots of choices including Gluten Free. Meals were all very tasty and staff members regularly checked that we were ok and enjoying our meals. Three children in the party and they loved their choices from the children menu. I will definitely return here in future.

Good dinner. Dishes are friendly Priced and made by themselves. We had a small nachos with chili to start. The pies are said to be wonderful here. And they are. We had a beef steak pie with fries and vegetables. And a baked potato with sour cream, guacamole and chili. They forgot to add the guacamole and sour cream. But after asking they apologized and we got a generous portion. They have local draft beer. And bottles. The food was good. We enjoyed every bite. Left with a full stomach. After 7 pm this Friday they also had live music. Which sounded great.

We enjoyed our meal at R&B’s. Best of all was our server Rebecca, who not only did an excellent job but took time to chat with us about our trip and (at our request) give us recommendations about where to visit in Inverness. We loved our conversation with her which so enhanced our enjoyment of the restaurant!

Nachos soggy, wings burnt, live music painfully loud. Unable to stay to finish meal due to noise. We did request singers amplifier be turned down a bit but were told the volume was to attract the punters from outside. In other words they don't give a dam once your in the door. Do not recommend for food or any form of socialization, music so loud all you can do is drink to,oblivion or leave.

Very quiet as we were early, lots of staff but some weren’t keen on serving customers. The food was nice though.

Had lunch there with my daughter..waited a while for two cups of tea (£2.80)which is average price for a pot of tea ,pot of water refill ,milk ,sugar ..we got a mug which was on 1/4 full of too strong tea..I asked for more water to weaken my tea .out waitress came with a quart size milk bottle with a bottom full of hot water..not even enough to fill my small mug half way..bit ridiculous for a place that calls itself a restaurant. We ordered gluten free chicken coujons. On our plates were three huge pieces of chicken in the thickest batter which was soggie inside ,the chicken was cooked but we couldn't eat the batter..we did say to the waitress about both the tea and the batter..she apologised but the chef is just learning how to cook the gluten free food..fair enough..but there was no excuse for the tea.they served it in pots before covid apparently. .but not now? We were offered no refund, top up of tea or another meal or money off..seeing as meal was quite inedible and tea was practically none existent. Not exactly a shortage of water in scotland..definitely not going back there and would not recommend..

Had a nice meal here with good service. The meal was well cooked and tasty. The service was efficient but a bit impersonal. The atmosphere was noisy and the low light level made reading the menu a bit difficult.

My daughter and I had lunch here.i am gluten free and had the gf chicken cujons..three huge cujons with thick batter..too thick for my taste (chicken was cooked but batter was very starchy in the middle it tasted raw)I couldn't eat the batter neither did my dsughter..we had tea..it arrived in a small ugly mug half full...for £2.80 I at least thought we'd have a pot of tea and one of hot water..I don't like strong tea so asked for hot water..I got a third of a small bottle of water not even enough to fill the mug..very disappointing when it classed as a resturaunt...our waitress was lovely.when i queried about the tea she said they used to have tea pots..food average...half a small mug of tea for that price ..skimping on water or what!! .this is a RESTAURANT, .never have I ever had that anywhere before...won't be going there again..

I suppose it's my problem. It was noisy, the light was strange, cold with the door open if I hadn't made a reservation I would have walked out. And than the kitchen. I ordered a pasta with salmon and peas I easily detected the peas and the pasta but the salmon was in for I tasted it but it was hard to find. So price Vs quality bellow level next time I'll find an other place.

When we stopped in this restaurant, we were famished and the menu looked good. At first, we were a little bit concerned because we were the only people in the place (midday). The menu had a good variety and everyone in our party enjoyed their food. A huge compliment to the staff for the peppercorn sauce.

Won't be back the owner is so rude . If you pay for drinks in a pub hotel . You expect a thank you. Total anti children our three year old was chatting and we Heard the owners rude comment about him . Also we took her seat . The poor lass who runs hand and foot for this person is so friendly it's the only reason we stayed so long . Won't be back and won't recommend to any of our family and friends that visit the port . Maybe someone will take over the Caledonian and make it a hotel and pub again . We have been visiting the port for 40 years and haven't experienced the unfriendly signal we got from the castle hotel .

What a fantastic find on our recent visit to Inverness. Brilliant wee cafe with extremely friendly staff. Great menu and selection of fresh cakes. Lovely relaxed atmosphere and to top it all they are doggy friendly which meant we didn’t need to leave our 14yr old pooch in the car. Would definitely recommend a visit.
