The best restaurants serving Other cuisines food in Edinburgh and Lothian

Soo sorry to hear closed !?! Was our favorite haunt for morning coffee/tea and . . . The porridge was one of the culinary highlights of our time in Edinburgh

Had a good night, but two young guys were vaping. Asked them to stop but they continued. The bar staff seemed to know them so they seemed not to bother with our request to stop. Will go somewhere else next time.

Trampa para turistas — ¡evite a toda costa! Visitamos como un grupo de cuatro, incluyendo mis padres ancianos. Solo subir las escaleras era una lucha para ellos, y no había ninguna opción de asistencia o accesibilidad ofrecida. Después de esperar bastante tiempo para el servicio, pedimos bebidas y mis padres pidieron compartir un entrante y un plato principal, una solicitud muy razonable dado su apetito. Sorprendentemente, el camarero insistió en que cada uno tenía que pedir un plato principal lleno. Sin flexibilidad, sin entendimiento. Nos quedamos con la opción de desperdiciar comida o salir caminando, así que elegimos irnos. Bajar a mis padres por las escaleras fue otra prueba. En general, una experiencia decepcionante y frustrante. Este lugar es claramente no servicial, especialmente para los huéspedes mayores. Ahorre tiempo y dinero, no vaya allí.

This place is a shambles. Absolute chaos. No one seems to know what they are doing. Running about all over the place. Took ages to order. Took ages to get our order. Then they forgot our drinks. Everyone working there seemed to be taking orders, dealing with the orders, taking payments, clearing tables. Chaos reigns. Watching other tables, you could see it was a similar experience for them. Kitchen staff left at 8 on the dot. Shouting cheerio. Have a great weekend to the other staff. Music playing in the kitchen but not in the cafe but loud enough so everyone could hear it. The ice cream is nice but this whole set up should be much, much better. Luca's is an Edinburgh institution. What a mess.

Llegó a las 9. Estoy buscando un buen desayuno. Miró todos los sándwiches hechos, etc. y preguntó si había algo sin queso. Se le aconsejó que no. (¿Qué pasó con las opciones vegetarianas/veganas que dices que haces?) Pregunté si hacían bocadillos en el lugar dijeron que sí... pero no pudieron hacerme uno. Luego se les avisó que tenían sopa. Así que opté por una sopa de lentejas. Me senté en un banco de la ventana... vi un menú de desayuno... así que me disculpé porque dije que no sabía que elegían el desayuno por separado y le pregunté si podía cambiar la sopa a un rollo con huevo revuelto. Se le dijo que no había rollos. Luego ofreció tostadas con huevos revueltos. Lo acepté. Finalmente, un miembro del personal (masculino) lanzó un plato con pan seco (pan tostado suave), sin mantequilla y huevos revueltos básicamente en el lado opuesto del banco de la ventana en el que estaba sentado. No hablaba y ni siquiera podía mirarme. Muy decepcionante. No suelo escribir reseñas, pero siento haber tenido que hacerlo esta vez. Así que no volveré... 🤷

I don’t know if we just visited this pub on an odd night but our experience here wasn’t the best. The vibe in the pub didn’t feel very welcoming, the staff seemed tired and unhappy, the butterbeer wasnt great, and there was an open mic night of sorts happening which was chaotic and was a bit of an earache honestly.

Fantástica selección de bollos y pasteles. Es un poco caro, pero perfecto para un pequeño placer, me encanta el bollo de castaña! 😋

Very nice inside, very friendly and knowledgeable staff. I asked about gluten free and everything is gluten free apart from the bread, and because of this there is a risk of cross contamination. I went for the spicy Chinese soup and felt fine afterwards. The small portion was a good size and the cappuccino with almond milk was delicious. A very nice peaceful lunch. I did notice a lot of people coming in and and leaving without buying anything - there were only a few options, so perhaps there was nothing to taste.

A lovely cafe and I visit regularly. I often go with my 6 year old grandchild, who loves Cappadocia's French toast.

No atmosphere, no dogs, no customers, very rude staff. Completely empty. Everywhere else busy and not a single customer. Says it all.

Fui aquí con unos amigos a trabajar el viernes pasado. El hombre que trabajaba en la caja era realmente encantador. Pedí un frappe de avellanas y él estaba increíblemente atento queriendo asegurarse de que se hizo bien. El frappe era precioso y nos dejó tener el extra en un vaso pequeño. Es una buena vibra también. Nos quedamos hasta el cierre, pero no nos sentimos empujados hacia fuera. Lo recomendaría para un servicio al cliente tan agradable. 🙂

Very small café in Edinburgh centre, very few tables inside. We found a seat and we enjoyed the soup and sandwich. The staff is quite friendly, the coffee is good, the espresso a bit too long. Good place to eat something at a reasonable price.

Don’t go awful rude aggressive staff OMG apparently I am barred despite never being there on accused night. Was told by the exceptionally rude aggressive finger pointing bar boy that I had apparently been there drinking at table 2 (wherever that is) “a while back” with some girlfriends and was drinking my own wine. He said if I gave my name he could say if it was me. I did and apparently he didn’t know the name of the person so therefore could not substantiate this ridiculous and offensive claim. Never in my life have I encountered such rudeness and unjustifiable accusation. I would happily admit to any wrongdoings but being accused of frequenting a venue on a day/night that I wasn’t there and accused wrongly of behaviour that I would not commit in a bar that I have always paid good money in is beyond belief. Do not go - rude, inconsiderate staff who blandly tell lies and accuse innocent people Previous experience has always been great. I even have a discount card, previous staff wonderful - this young boy awful, no customer service and it is easy to say that it’s not acceptable in this day in age to actually finger point at someone and talk aggressively. He did actually point his finger at me with no proof. Nor had no name of the supposedly accused person or when I asked for the cctv camera proof he could not provide any evidence Please don’t go, staff who behave like this should be trained properly or work in a different environment.

Tengo muy buen recuerdo del local y sobre todo de la gente que trabaja alí. Me gustaría que supieran lo que agradezco su confianza y su apoyo en un momento crítico que pasé . Para mi siempre será mi sitio favorito para tomar algo en Edimburgo;además me gustaba mucho la comida.Gracias desde Elche en España
