A great place to stop for a nice cup of coffee. Friendly staff, good location and most important of all - great coffee and reasonable prices.

Came here for a late lunch early dinner with my partner. We both shared the haggis spring rolls which were great. I had steak pie and my partner had fajitas. Both were fantastic! The steak pie was one of the best I've had and the fajitas were amazing! Service was great from the get go and the nothing was an issue at all! I'll definitely be returning for more steak pie!!

Popped in for a coffee with my wife. The service and atmosphere was amazing. The two girls serving were a delight and their names are Julia and Stella. Plus the coffee was excellent.

What a great find. Traditional, independent pub, in a great quirky building. Topped off with friendly local staff, and a great pint. (I'll try the pizza the next time ) Thank you.

The Crown and Kitchen in East Linton had good trip advisor reviews, so we decided to stay for 1 night on our journey to eastern Scotland. Although there is no car park, there was plenty of on street unlimited parking near to the Inn. All of the staff were friendly and welcoming, and we were shown to our beautiful contemporary room by a very helpful member of staff. Rooms are next door to the bar area, and so quiet. There was a wide choice of dishes for dinner, including fish and vegetarian options. Breakfast was very good. There were fresh berries and yoghurt and a range of cereals, as well as cooked options. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff, and the whole place was well cared for, light and welcoming. We will stay again when we are in the area, and can recommend it without hesitation.

I have been coming to this cafe for years and I’m now at the point where I won’t be back. I am so tired of the rudeness that I encounter every time I go. It would be bad no matter what the prices but if I’m spending 4.50 for a sandwich I expect at least a smile and a hello, or heaven forbid a thank you. I rarely get eye contact, there is never a smile, the servers are consistently on their phone or talking to each other ignoring customers. One day I just gave up and walked out because I couldn’t get served. There is an express soderburg around the corner and the gentleman in there displays EXCELLENT customer service. He is always polite and welcoming and as a result I tend to spend more money with him. The service on in the meadows is utterly appalling as a result I won’t be back to any. There is a coffee shop that has just opened up next door so I’ll save my money for them.

Overrated. As a warning there is no WiFi access which is fine but they should make this clear from the outset. When I explained that I needed access to the WiFi and would like a refund this was refused. I was told by staff that the policy for any refund was to email the owner directly and this would be considered as “he didn’t trust staff to give refunds”

Soo sorry to hear closed !?! Was our favorite haunt for morning coffee/tea and . . . The porridge was one of the culinary highlights of our time in Edinburgh

Had a good night, but two young guys were vaping. Asked them to stop but they continued. The bar staff seemed to know them so they seemed not to bother with our request to stop. Will go somewhere else next time.

We had dinner twice at the Riccarton Inn Pub & Dining - excellent food, friendly service, good ambience. The four of us wish that this pub was in out neighborhood, as we would eat here regularly. The Sunday roast was so tender and delicious, the beef pie and the chicken and chorizo pies were yummy - served with new potatoes and veggies, and the fish and chips were excellent. Free parking available in rear of building.

It’s like stumbling into a treasure chest filled with laughter, booze, and enough good vibes to make a grumpy old man dance a jig! First things first, the drinks! The craft beer selection is so vast it makes the Sahara Desert look like a puddle. They’ve got everything from local brews to exotic pints that’ll make your taste buds do the Highland Fling. Some of the beers are so nice, the locals drink it twice 🤪. And if beer isn’t your thing, the cocktails are like something out of Willy Wonka’s secret stash. You’ll be grinning like a Cheshire cat after just one sip! Now, let’s talk rum – the selection here is so good, it would make Captain Jack Sparrow jealous. They've got everything from the classics to the adventurous, and the Dead Man’s Fingers rum is an absolute delight. It’s smoother than a silk kilt and packs a punch that’ll warm you from head to toe. If you’re a rum lover, you’ll feel like a kid in a candy store! But what really makes the Mash Tun special is the bar team. They’re friendlier than a Labrador puppy! Special mention to the skinny blonde behind the bar – her smile could light up the darkest night. She’s quicker than a whippet on caffeine and mixes drinks with the finesse of a ballet dancer. And her banter? Top-notch! She's got wit sharper than a thistle and always leaves you laughing. Whether you’re a regular or a newbie, she makes you feel welcome. The Mash Tun on Easter Road is a shining star in Leith’s pub scene. Whether you’re in for a casual pint or just to soak up the Euro Footballs fantastic atmosphere, this place never disappoints. Five stars? Forget that – the Mash Tun deserves all the stars in the galaxy and then some! So, get yourself down to the Mash Tun and experience the magic for yourself. Sláinte!

Quick service at a very busy time. Had hamburgers and fries that were much like home (America). A great place for a quick lunch while on the Royal Mile

We had been exploring the delights of Stockbridge and came across this place by chance. What a find! It was quite small and the tables were fairly close together but there was a good choice of lunch options and the coffee was excellent. I'd definitely eat here again the next time I'm in Edinburgh.

This place is a shambles. Absolute chaos. No one seems to know what they are doing. Running about all over the place. Took ages to order. Took ages to get our order. Then they forgot our drinks. Everyone working there seemed to be taking orders, dealing with the orders, taking payments, clearing tables. Chaos reigns. Watching other tables, you could see it was a similar experience for them. Kitchen staff left at 8 on the dot. Shouting cheerio. Have a great weekend to the other staff. Music playing in the kitchen but not in the cafe but loud enough so everyone could hear it. The ice cream is nice but this whole set up should be much, much better. Luca's is an Edinburgh institution. What a mess.
