Booked on their website night before and turned up and were given a number of options as to where to sit. Mark was our waiter and he was friendly, professional, on it - never left us too long and was attentive and kind. Mark - you are a credit to the restaurant! Not many as good as you about. I had the grilled salmon chimmichurri (?) with broccoli, crispy kale and new potatoes . I actually said to my mum, “if I died tomorrow I would be happy with that as my last meal”. Random thing to say, but it was absolutely delicious! And my kind of meal all in. Had the dark chocolate and cherry triffle - oofffttt had to share it with my Dad, it was delicious but big. The portions sizes are generous. Lovely atmosphere, lovely staff and amazing food. We will be back and highly recommend. Thanks again

Lovely restaurant in picturesque setting. Service was good and staff very pleasant. Overall experience was good. What let it down was the steak pie. The pastry was very soft and quite soggy as if it had been heated in a microwave. Such a pity.

We just recently had a birthday party with 23 people within Craigie’s gin pod and was given an amazing buffet and supply of drinks. The business was also very accommodating giving vegan and veggie plates to those with the dietary requirements. Only comment to make was that most drinks had to come from inside but it was amazing and quick service! We will be coming back! Book this space if you are interested in having a large get-together!

Encontré este café a través de un paseo a la aldea de Dean, paró imprevisto para el desayuno y estaba tan contento de que lo hicimos. Los rollos de tocino eran sabrosos con pan y tocino de buena calidad y los cafés eran muy agradables! El servicio fue rápido y amable.

Let me preface this by saying that we did have an okay time at this establishment. We were greeted and seated quickly, told there was table service and the server checked in on us fairly quickly. After his shift ended, it kind of all changed for the worse. There was not a lot of people there, and quite a lot of servers, however it almost seemed like our table was avoided. While the wife went off to do a bit of shopping I figured I could have a drink and enjoy a bit of sun on a day where the forecast said rain. After finishing my drink, my empty glass was on the table for 40 minutes without anyone coming by even though they passed by frequently. I finally flagged someone down from a group of servers having a conversation, and I got a new drink. After this happening a couple more times, we decided to move on. Getting the check was also basically the same thing, a group of servers having a conversation so I went up to them. Most of them didn't even react when I asked for the check, but one very nice lady helped me out. Really hope this changes as I enjoyed the location, music and selection.

Used to be great under the previous ownership/management. Now you get hairs in your ice-cream. Also, the mark-up on some of their prices is just greed.

What a lovely little bar. We stumbled upon it after dining out and were greeted by friendly staff. We ordered a whisky and an Aperol Spritz to start, and enjoyed the atmosphere so much that we stayed for a second round – another whisky and an Edinburgh gin and tonic. We chatted to the bar staff, who were engaging and welcoming throughout. The food looked great – lots of cheese and meat platters. A shame we’d already eaten! We’d definitely go back.

A warm welcome followed by fast service. Ross was quick to see us to a table and make sure we had everything we needed. The food was delicious - steak perfectly cooked to taste. A fantastic veggie cheeseburger which shows how it can be done. Huge thanks to Connor in the kitchen. All in all, first class meal.
