My food was not fresh, the presentation was not clean and there was a hair in the middle of the meat

Quiet night but staff were friendly and good for a conversation. Went for drinks only so can't grade food but menu looks good with reasonable prices

The pub is looking very tired these days. There are holes in the carpet and a broken wash hand basin in the Gent's toilet that has been broken for over a year now. I had heard over a year or so ago that there were plans to refurbish but obviously it hasn't happened. Also the floor at the bar area was sticky and in need of a decent clean.

Pretty dam good value. Our whole lunch was around £23 for both of us. Are light but excellent food quality! KJ, from the kitchen was fantastic! There was a football (soccer) game in and we loved every minute. While my wife was writing postcards to the kids lol! I was catching up on some work stuff but great spot.

Had a lovely meal. Food was cooked to a perfect standard. Service was as exceptional, special mention to the staff: Steven, James and Jack

Old school pub perfect for drinks with mates, loads of choice and plenty of venoms. Pub is old and tired but great for a catch up. Pool table is an added bonus. Heading back for the game Saturday.

A lovely little place to visit for some food. I’ve been twice now and the food has been great! The barmaid is lovely and polite :) Affordable prices.

It's a bar with very good vibes. It's suitable for sitting and drinking, chilling, and talking with friends. There are a variety of beers to choose from. #TravellingAsACouple

We had visited Linlithgow to go to a few bars and the Old Post Office was number 2 on our list. In fairness the staff were great and the beer was good but that's where it stops. Torn seat covers, tatty decor and a carpet which you literally stuck to make this a pub I am not visiting again. It genuinely felt filthy. Given this is owned by Grene King (who suck the life out of any local pub ) there is no excuse to have allowed the venue to descend into this state.

Bar was smelly and furnishings ripped and in poor condition. Staff friendly but place needs a spruce up. Did not eat because of smell.

The staff were lovely, the pub was very clean. But, the food was dreadful. Certainly not value for money. Shame

Popped in for lunch, the food was excellent as per usual. The katsu chicken and the salt and pepper chicken were fab. Would recommend for a bite to eat and nice atmosphere. Jack and Tiz were superb as well.

Love the new items on the menu, loaded fries are exceptional. Good pub for a quick bite, lots of TVs and staff decent. Pop in when I’m in the area seeing friends.

We found this little gem through a Google search. We had a warm and friendly greeting by the barman. We initially just went in for a drink and stayed for something to eat. The food was excellent both in price and quality. The staff were attentive without being intrusive. Highly recommend a visit.

The food was good and the service was excellent. Bar man was really friendly and went out of his way to check we were satisfied and having a good time. If I didn't live 200 miles away I would definitely come again!

The food I'd lovely, the prices for drink is a bit much, service is always given with a smile but not much of an atmosphere any time I've been in..very quite quiet.

Visited midweek early evening as we were hungry, not really our sort of place to eat or drink but the service was good and the staff friendly. Reminded us of Wetherspoons food wise and trek for the loos! Excellent choice of drinks including Bellhaven Black.

Food was nice. Service was friendly. Let down by shabby seating,that wet my clothes due to rips/slashes, retaining something wet.

Price of food was excellent although it had clearly been cooked on a dirty griddle tasted great but the residue on the plate told a different story

Not impressed. We dropped by for a drink late afternoon. Quite a few customers were in but gradually we were the only ones left. Suddenly all bar staff left to go outside, I’m assuming for a cigarette break, but without asking us beforehand if we wanted anything!! So we were on our own, with the staff all outside. Not a great way to run a bar ☹️ don’t think we will be back. Disappointing as the place does have potential but lacks any motivated staff,

Not my sort of place ... but we enjoyed it. I don't normally warm to somewhere that is full of sports TV screens and where I can feel my shoes sticking to the floor. In fact I would run a mile. However, we needed a quick bite and only had an hour on the parking. We tried it and were overwhelmed by the friendliness of the service and we both enjoyed our food plus my first Guinness Zero%. Also nice to see an old building being repurposed. ... And the Grand Prix was on.

Decent place for a drink and food

I was at the old post office at the weekend, we met Steven the manager and all I can say isSteven and all his staff were great, very helpfu, friendly & professional, they made our day out even better 5*

The pub's ambiance is rather ordinary, lacking any standout features, and its culinary offerings certainly don't warrant any accolades. The chicken and leek pie failed to impress, lacking flavor and tenderness, while the blue burger arrived disappointingly dry. Even the accompanying chips and onion rings were overly crispy, almost to the point of being hard, and the churros suffered from being burnt. However, amidst these culinary shortcomings, the redeeming factor was the amiable and accommodating staff.

The ambience is exactly what you want from a local, high street pub. The food is spot on & just what you need when you’re enjoying a good, casual day out. Staff are friendly and always quick to get you served. Can’t fault the place. Always a stop off for when we’re out in Linlithgow.

Don't know whether Sunday menu is off permanently but it may well be worth taking it down off the website.

Very small so gets busy quickly to the point of being uncomfortable. Not many tables so, generally stand in other peoples way

Like Wetherspoons, but not as cheap for drink. Good for sports- plenty screens. Food is fine, if you're hungry - bar food.

Brothers 40th (15.12.23) was absolutely amazing. Outstanding food. Great service. We had kids in the group who got spoilt. Cannot recommend OPOB enough. Chef Tiz is the best in the business, she could not do enough for our party. Manager Steven is an absolute legend, bringing the birthday boys cake up and making sure we were all well fed and watered.

On a cold wet winters day inside was not overly warm, in fact I was chilly by the end of my meal. I was not sitting near a door. It's quite a loud pub, football was on with people watching on several tvs, a good buzz about the place and music on too. Maybe not the best choice for us having a quiet catch up but great food and i cannot fault the service.

The food was lovely, and the staff were really nice, it was just a shame the food came out very randomly. 2 of us got our starters when 2 of us got mains, then there was a fairly long wait, and then another 2 starters came out with another main, they finished their meals, more waiting and another 2 meals came out and so on. There seemed to be no order to things coming out of the kitchen. I suppose it might not have helped that we ordered separately, but I would have thought an establishment like this would be able to cater to a group at one table ordering separately. The guy did apologise for the wait, though it did put a bit of a damper on the evening.

Amazing staff that are attentive and and take great pride in their jobs. Nothing is ever a bother and the vibes the team give off are addictive. A smashing, and underrated, venue.

5star great food and fab night out

First class service. I always enjoy the Live Music nights as it's always a wide range of different acts. It's great to see the bar staff enjoying the tunes while serving too.

Fantastic food and drinks range, great and attentive service from the team. The live music offerings on a Friday coupled with the DJ on a Saturday make a great weekend visit, but the midweek sport and atmosphere is also great. Well worth the visit and highly recommended venue if you're in the area.

Have been going to the Lithgae Marches for over a decade and the Old post office is right in the centre of the town. Always make a bee line for the place as Great service and a great range of drinks. Last year the place was looking a little tired .....This year the place has been totally neglected by the owners. The place was absolutely filthy..Tables and flooring were actually sticky to the touch. The seats are tired with most do worn that the wood is showing through the fabric. The ladies and gents toiletsvare up a filthy dark stairwell and are absolutely disgusting. I really urge Greene King to bring this great pub up to date. Staff and service were excellent..

Absolute dump scruffy full of under age drinkers and toilets discusting

Great pub. Good variety of draught beer. Neck Oil IPA was enjoyable. Everyone enjoyed their meal. Have a 'senior' menu for cheaper smaller portions.

We went in for the Linlithgow Marches and what a fantastic experience! Staff were so happy and friendly, and nothing is an issue. Shots, cocktails and amazing banter, thoroughly recommended.

We visited on Monday afternoon, and are very happy that we did. The service was great, the food was great, and it seems like such a lovely place. Everybody was smiling, which is very inviting. Nothing was a hassle, the team on shift were very much on top of things, and we will definitely be visiting again. The staff told us that there is a Quiz on Thursdays and Live Music every Friday, so we will be sure to return for those.

We were in for food on Thursday evening some of food was burnt my dad couldn't eat his and we had family over from America they couldn't eat there's either one was cold and the other she couldn't cut the chicken food wasn't the best they did take the meals of our bill when my husband went to order desert he was tolled kitchen is shut 😂😂 defo don't recommend going there we won't be back

Good range of drinks, food was ok-rsn out of sauce fir haggis fritters not offered alternative. It is big with plenty to do, ie pool table etc but lacks atmosphere, unfortunately there is very little of original post office left inside,shame.

Had an amazing experience in here last weekend, the food was great and Steven and the team were all amazing, couldn't recommend it highly enough. Next time im in the area again, I'll definitely be making another visit

Popular place for both young and not so young. Staff do very well making sure everyone is attended to even at the busiest hours on a Saturday night. More assertion in keeping areas of the bar clear for people ordering would be ideal, however I do accept there's a fine line between balancing a good positive atmosphere and trying to tell drunk people where they can and can't stand. Cheap prices and a great selection of drinks.

Nice wee pub, staff are friendly and super helpful. Prices ( particularly food) and reasonable and the food is decent pub grub. At the weekend they are dog friendly. They have sports screens, so if that's your thing, all well. There are a few wee cubbies to hide from the screens if that's your jam though! Pool table also available. Our teen sons like it there, it's a good place to nip in for a weekend pub lunch with the whole family (furry friends included).

it was ok. the main menu is slightly different from the other green king pubs and also more expensive. the place was freezing cold and seemed to be understaffed. i honestly woulnt go out of my way to return there are much better places round about

Had the share 20 chicken strips, rosemary chips and onion rings...not enough to feed two on a starter and very minimal sauce..was not tossed in sauce as stated in menu...not enough sauce for 2, and chicken strips were as thin as.. definitely not filling...would definitely not recommended to anyone regarding the size...mega disappointed...and still hungry

Popped in last night for a few drinks with my partner and a few of our friends , enjoyed a few rounds of pool and a good bit of banter from the bar staff on shift. First time visiting , lovely inside, staff were very welcoming and friendly. next time I plan to stop for food :) Would love a little Jack Daniels Fire in the summer when I'm not driving 🤣.

Very spacious bar... Pool table... Toilets are a bit of a pain as they are upstairs so can become fun after a few beers 🤠

Very busy tonight, and no queue management. The staff can see who has been waiting but allow queue jumpers who appear they know, as you can tell from the banter. It's a shame they are working so hard, but it's just rude to ignore specific customers. We have visited regularly, but the first pub we walked out of after such disrespectful treatment. Ps I expect a wait at these times, just not to be ignored. Previous to this visit the pub has a good beer selection and food at reasonable prices.
