I have loved my experience here! The bar staff have been so friendly with Amy and Seb serving me and the atmosphere has been so welcoming with live music on Tuesday to Saturday which was perfect! I will definitely be coming back:)

Group of 8 of us were out for food and drink and had booked here for an evening meal on Sunday. Unfortunately the booing and paying for meal system didn’t work because one item wasn’t available on the menu. So we had to re do our order. After an hour we were about to leave as still no sign of any food. Ainslie (assistant manager) started to look after us and if it hadn’t been for her exceptional customer service, understanding and support we would have walked out. Food was nice, mainly burgers and sides and all 8 people were filled up. So the beers, the food, the sides weren’t the star of the show but the employee- Ainslie, bravo

Really enjoyed our meal at the St. Andrews Brewing Company restaurant. First class service and friendly staff. Also dog friendly.

Knowledgeable and friendly staff providing well cooked and presented food from a short enough menu to ensure fresh cooking throughout. Lemon tart with blueberry coulis was a standout and all With the best 180 views in the town.

Visité ayer y me atendió Steve, que fue muy acogedor y educado. Como la mayoría de los clientes ese día, me detuve para tomar un refresco. Pret es generalmente confiable en todos los ámbitos, pero cuando recibes un servicio fantástico como el que recibí en esta sucursal específica, no tengo ninguna duda cuando visito la calle. Andrews de nuevo, preferiré a Pret por encima de Starbucks y Costa, etc. Para los miembros del personal (especialmente Steve) que sigan con el excelente servicio, volveré.

Staff both attentive and friendly. Lovely quiet comfortable place to enjoy a drink or an excellent coffee.

Paid the cafe prices to sit in with kids and then spent 20 minutes surrounded by two families standing gassing - no attempt to manage the place from staff. Very uncomfortable fighting your way through non paying customers just to get to the toilet. Get a takeaway or go round the corner

Parked near by and family needed food. A great place and friendly staff. Bacon roll was delicious and everyone else food was great.. Reasonably priced especially where it's situated...

Coffee sausage rolls and empire biscuits all good service good had to wait for a table. Only thing I could say bad cobwebs hanging from the roof toilet not very clean. Tables not cleared by staff after customers have left.

Really enjoyed the Steak Pie tonight but they still can't serve coffee in the bar after 8pm. A great shame as their coffee is also really good.

My mother and I went into con panna because we had time to wait for a bus. Inside is table service. We were ignored for about 5 minutes despite 3 staff members standing doing nothing. Our oder was finally taken one coffee, one juice and 2 cakes. We waited 25 minutes and our order didn't arrive and we left. Disappointed because I do like con panna but to sit and watch over 5 members of staff doing nothing was a bit much. Won't be rushing back I'm afraid

This review is not about the staff at all - they are friendly and hard working! The 1 star is about the conditions Costa let their workers work in. There is a lot of mould on the ceiling right above where the baristas are making drinks as a result of the air-conditioning I presume. I imagine after long exposure, it could be damaging their health! This isn’t good enough and is unethical for their staff to work there.

Superb!! Discovered the Criterion about 2 years ago. My wife and I have been in hospitality trade for 45 years and have probably not found any where better. We have visited 6/7 times and never had a negative experience. Food quality, service, beer and wine choice, cleanliness all excellent. The only downside is we stay too far away in Montrose to be with you more often. Keep up the good work!!
