Service was really slow, took ages for our drinks to arrive (two cans of juice and a glass of water). Food didn’t take as long but was really disappointed in the pancakes. My kids were excited to get pancakes while having a stroll around St Andrews. We passed this place and I saw pancakes on the menu and thought perfect, we’ll go in here. I was really disappointed (as were my kids) when the pancakes came out - basically it was one of the little pancakes you get in multipacks in the supermarket. I had a baked potato which was okay. The Tuna Mayo was quite dry, not much Mayo in it and I don’t think the baked potato had been buttered. Overall it was ok but I wouldn’t go back. The staff weren’t very cheery or welcoming either sadly. It’s a shame as it’s in such a prominent position in the town, it could be a lovely little place.

Had to move indoors, though, when a couple of smokers sat at a nearby table (obviously not the fault of Con Panna). I used to work here I loved my job but because of my age I only got £5 per hour which I don’t think is very fair at all.i have disabilities but never let that stop me from doing what i want to achieve and do in life at which I didn’t want to share this information at my interview because I was afraid that it would be used against me fast forward a few weeks I got the job I was in the kitchen with 2 of my colleagues and I told them about my disabilities which they seemed to be okay with I then in June 2022 when to do an internship at Asda but was still working one day a week typically on a Saturday I messaged the boss to say that I was thinking of staying at until the end of the summer I texted back 2 days later to say that I was definitely coming back and wasn’t going to stay any longer than I needed to I then went in for my shift on the Saturday only to discover that my hours had been given away which I was totally shocked I felt like the boss should have messaged me back to talk to me about this as I wasn’t too sure at the time I then told my mum what had happened and she was very upset she then messaged my boss to ask her why she done this as my friend had a job here never came to work and would always make an excuse and the boss gave her change after chance but when it was me she didn’t even give me another chance then a few days later she replied to my mum’s message and added us both to come for a meeting we both attended the meeting the whole time she never even looked or spoke to my mum and then whilst my mum was sat next to me said if I knew about her……… back in April I wouldn’t have employed her referring to my disability I was made to feel unwanted because of my disabilities, she did Ofer to keep me on one day a week until I got another job but I just think this is because she felt guilty for giving my hours away, I hope nobody ever has to go through this

We went into this cafe for a snack. The waitresses were cleaning the chalk board and clearing tables. They didn’t greet us or show us to a table. We sat for 5 minutes. A pleasant girl came over and asked what we would like. I asked if we could see a menu. She brought us this and we waited nearly ten minutes for her to come back to take an order. We ordered a sandwich, a toastie, one tea and one coffee and waited almost 15 minutes for this very average food to arrive. The girl who delivered it to the table was unpleasant and slid the plates across to us. All for the “bargain” price of £18.30!! The only good thing was a cheeky Seagull eating an uncleared table outside. That made us laugh but we won’t be back to this Cafe. 👎🏻

We were out on day trip to St Andrews was a lovely day and rather warm so we decided to grab a bite to eat what a mission that was , we totally understand with Covid about booking places to eat but sometimes you just get up and go . A couple of places not a chance of getting in or come back in 4 hours. Thankfully we found this lovely place. We had baked potato and blt the staff were wonderful so friendly polite considering there were some people who must have been affected by sun and it made them lose their manners. It’s so nice to find younger staff who have manners and can talk with people. We also had 2 pieces of their millionaires shortcake oh my goodness was the best we have ever had. So thank you for making our day trip more enjoyable with great customer service. Will definitely be back here. Thanks

Con Panna scones are generally agreed to be the best in St Andrews by local scone connaisseurs... Combine them with afternoon tea for an unmissable treat! We were offered a choice of sandwiches which were freshly made, served with the aforementioned scones, pancakes , traybakes topped off with a delicious meringue - and all for £15 for two people. On a busy Sunday afternoon, I managed to get a seat in Con Panna which has a very extensive menu for a relatively small cafe. I settled for cheese and ham toasties, which were delicious, plus a decent pot of tea. The cafe was comfortable and clean and the service was good. Staff seemed helpful. There is a pavement area if you want to risk the St Andrews breezes! A very positive experience. Be aware, however, that they don't accept payments by card.

Having parked up we set off to find a late lunch. Walking under the arch and down the street we came to this lovely café. It was still busy, always a good sign. A choice of soup, we both had Mushrooms, with either white or brown crusty rolls and then we had a tappas melt, roasted veg and houmous, Sandwiches, bagels and toasties with a range of fillings. Hot and cold drinks were available and cakes and scones too. The only draw back was no acceptance of debit or credit cards so only cash. However it is still well worth visiting just remember to take cash.

We were served at a table. Cleanliness of the tables is quite poor. Astonishingly the place doesn't serve fresh cream with scones though it shouldn't be really that difficult. The next unpleasant surprise occurred when we came up to the till to pay - "cash only" sticker on the till. Why not have a note at the entrance door? We didn't have cash and had to leave in search for a cash machine and then come back to pay. The amount announced didn't sound right, we asked to see the bill to check and found out that they tried to charge us £5 for a scone instead of £2. They apologised but without much enthusiasm. We won't be back again.

This restaurant operates a loyalty scheme. Customers are provided with cards and for each coffee/tea bought a stamp is given. Presumably a completed card allows the customer to have a free drink. I was amazed today to discover that this isn’t actually how it works. I paid for 2 coffees and received 1 stamp. When I questioned this I was told that 1 stamp is given per transaction! Obviously the trick is not to pay for your friends coffee but instead to hand the card round and let everyone pay for their own! How ridiculous is that !!!!!
