Costa Coffee in Fife

I was very happy with my visit. The service was brilliant, the coffee was brilliant, and so was the food!

Good Costa in an old building. Nice

Coffees were not great. I had a flat white and family had caramel lattes and they were not impressed and left some.

A very tall, male member of staff ruined our visit by yelling across the cafe to other members of staff constantly. He even yelled while standing right next to my seat, giving me a real fright! He then tried to grab our tray away while we were in the middle of putting things on it and was very aggressive when my mum asked him to wait. He should not be working in a customer facing role. We won’t be back.

Great coffee and amazing collection of sticky buns.

Staff were very friendly and professional. Coffee was decent and the atmosphere is nice with high ceilings.

When visiting the Dunfermline costa with two friends,a member of staff made me feel very small and embarrassed. I entered the Costa with three friends, one friend went up to order their drink whilst me and my other friend sat at a table, immediately this member of staff (an older man) came up to us and asked if “we were ordering” we replied with “not right now as we are holding the table as our friend who is ordering and would like to drink their drink to be drank inside” Then the member of staff said “so you two aren’t ordering anything?!” we said “not at the moment” Something i should have mentioned was earlier was I had a packet of sweets on the table, this staff member said “I’m just gonna take this packet of sweets” proceeding to take the sweets through to some hidden area maybe a kitchen prep area where we could not see and of course we were laughing at first, but when leaving this area the man worker produced to eat the sweets!!!! Which was not cheap!!! Proceeding to offer them to other staff and even some customers and chewing them mouth open for us to see. By this point we are not laughing anymore as at-least 10 minutes had past and I was down half a bag of sweets. When persistently asking the man to return the sweets he refused and acted much superior and aggressive. Please understand that we are only 15 and as a over 6ft man is laughing and mocking us was very dehumanising. Another thing to emphasise is that I am a minor, this man was maybe 6ft 4 had glasses and was clearly loud and obnoxious. Even some of the staff members looked uncomfortable with this mans joke. He also proceeded to ask us what school we went to and other personal questions. Very creepy. Very disappointed costa!!!!

Only thing is very bad 👎 take away cups 🥤 buyers staying tables so I'm going all the time costas 3x chairs I needed so no staying in chairs for us ....is that's anyone else there like a manager???

Staff in all stores I've visited have all been lovely. The only complaint I have is the toilets are a real put off, they aren't up to scratch and always feel dirty, maybe this is the decor..

A handy wee escape from the madness of retail therapy. Your better half or kids shopping up a storm in the Kingsgate, or Primark? Escape here for a delicious coffee and a tasty treat. Use your Costa app for those all important bean rewards. Friendly, courteous and accommodating staff. Plenty of seating. Great coffee and plenty to choose from on their food menu. I have my personal favourite of course... the New York Deli Bagel! Yum! But I also highly recommend the cheese toasties or paninis. More economical than the rest of the other coffee bandits out there (yes, including the Seattle crowd), and the best coffee on the high street.

Probably one of the worst experience of my life a guy called Barry was at the till standing all grumpy was very loud and ignorant he asked everyone about a cake for a £1 with coffee but me I went back to him and said I have just bought a drink give me a cake for a £1 as well he refused and was very rude about it seems a bit racist to be very honest my baby was crying he than came to my table took my tray which had my medicine in it without even asking me and Chucked it in the bin when I asked why did u do that He said all I can do is apologize and took my medicine from the bin and said here have it what an ignorant person I'm definitely going to make an official complaint against him.

It is rather disappointing that the majority of cafes are incapable of providing GF options. Great if one likes sickly sweet GF cereal bars but no savory options at all. Impossible to get a decent cinnamon bun or a toastie; vegan food options are well presented but being Vegan is mainly a lifestyle choice while gluten allergy can have serious consequences. GF foods are phased out ( even in supermarkets) in favour of vegan foods and vegan foods are not gluten free. It's discrimination. The Americano and Cappuccino coffees were tasteless,watery with a bitter after taste. I found that quality of coffee at Costa varies hugely and it's never the same, regardless which Costa one visits. Varies from really great to undrinkable.

I was reminded of why I usually avoid this place when the noisy male member of staff insisted on carrying on incredibly loud and literally non-stop “banter” with all and sundry (his pals, as far as I could tell) at the tables as well as the counter while his colleagues got on with the work. This went on for about 40 minutes and then I left.

Everwhere costa is a good choice for a coffee and a quick bite

Ok, apart from the staff member who seems to think that every order needs to be shouted out. No chance of a quiet sit down and a coffee here. Thankfully no staff member shouting every order today, much better.

Been enjoying a weekly visit with my son lately. Early morning hot drink (tea and a Latte) and a sweet treat (cherry tart and muffin) has been an enjoyable occasion hence the return visit the following week. Nice staff who are always welcoming and serve with a smile. Looking forward to the next visit.

Placed an order through Deliveroo. Waited for 3 hours.... I tried calling twice and they weren't answering so I cancelled via Deliveroo. If you can't cope with orders DON'T TAKE THEM

Waited over 3 hours today for a delivery, they weren't answering the phone. Ended up having to cancel thru Deliveroo. Never again....

Had a coffee with friends today. We found the coffee shop to be extremely dirty. The walls, skirting and floors were absolutely filthy and the tables and chairs are not much better. I would not recommend this venue. We do use Costa in most towns but this has got to be the worst and puts you off going back

Really friendly staff. Was not too busy inside but looked like ir had been as a few tables had trays with empty cups n plates on them. Made getting a seat a little less pick where u want and more pick one thats clear. Coffee was decent and the lemon muffin hit the spot.

Great coffee and lots of sugary treats

I asked for a chai latte, to be told there was none. So I ordered a vanilla latte, eventually got to the window with little to no acknowledgement. The cashier took my money, handed me my coffee. I drove around to park up and drink it. When I lifted the cup, the lid came straight off and the coffee burned my hand! The kids are clearly not fitting properly. I had to remove the lid completely to drink it. Very disappointed.

Good Coffee, overpriced cakes etc.

Was seating my elderly parents at a table when the manager rushed over and ordered us to queue up first before we could sit down. I asked if they could sit while I got the coffee and he started berating me. When I told him we would just go somewhere else, he then shouted at us to stay! Was still yelling as we left. Stay away from this place!

Fantastic coffee staff friendly but we so miss Costa in Debenham in Kingsgate. A lot of people used to meet others it was open bright and staff new us so well.

Service with a smile and a lovely coffee, not too busy and all staff were extremely friendly!

Just popped in today (Sunday 5th September) and was served by a barista in training, who was doing a great job. On the other hand the tall guy with the extremely loud voice made the experience less than pleasant.... The intimidating way he was speaking to that poor girl made us feel extremely uncomfortable.

Though airports are not busy as used to be before the pandemic, it's difficult for only one person to do all the work at coffee shops like Costa. Therefore, the quality of attention and clining of tables at the same time, become affected. But the quality of their coffee is good as usual...

Will never go back. Rude, abrasive staff member - my daughter said he's always like that and after eating toastie got a nice dose of food poisoning. I never complain being in the same industry for years but wow it was bad!

Costa coffee at Dunfermline, just outside shopping centre. Small premises so need to time well if eating in, but nice throughout. Helpful staff. Couple of steps to door so had to lift toddlers buggy, but no great effort for me at least. Food and drink up to Costa's usual good standards.

Great customer service and selection of products.

I know everyone is struggling with the virus, but I felt that being made to wait at till together when one of us could have sat down was a bit ott. It has not happened anywhere else I've been. What made it worse was ott at till, but others sat at tables when they had not been cleared properly and sanitised. The coffee was great and didn't feel rushed.

Professional friendly and positive attitude

Dropped in for brunch we took the excellent Cappuccino and toasted teacakes. The café is preserving covid restrictions and there are a lot fewer tables in the café The staff are friendly and efficient .This is a handy cafe just at the start of the high street and it is usually hard to get a table but we were in luck being early .

Standard Costa. Good coffee in a chilled environment

Costa coffee is one of my favourite coffee brands ever. This place is welcoming and the stuff polite and warm.

Love Costa coffee was great as usual very clean, staff wearing masks very helpful.

Shop clean and tidy coffee was nice. Just wished there was more relaxing sofa type chairs instead of just table and chairs.

i went here with my husband and sat at a table while he ordered ,i was then TOLD to leave the table and stand with husband ,i did so and my husband queried if our table would still be available after we ordered, we were assured yes,then while he was ordering the same staff member gave our table to someone who came in behind us ,when we asked about this the MANAGER !!,barked at us ,...' THESE ARE THE RULES ,IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT GO SOMEWHERE ELSE AND CALL MY MANAGER !!!' i have no objection to rules i strongly object to rudeness. Before this i was a regular customer who frequented this cafe almost daily,,the staff here need to go back to training as one of the covid rules is no raising of voices due to increased risk of spreading droplets,the table i ahd been sitting at and given to someone else was also NOT cleaned before they sat down.

I've been a regular there with my friend for some time now but last Friday was not a good visit. My friend, who was struggling to walk, was told off for not following the arrows and as soon as we were finished drinking our coffees we were asked, in a very abrupt way, to vacate our seats to make room for other customers. At the time there wasnt anyone waiting for a seat and there were other customers who had been sitting longer than us who had finished their drinks. I realise space is limited now due to safe distancing but If this had been done in a nice way we wouldn't have minded but it wasnt so we wont be back.

Staff were helpful and establishment was obviously well sanitised. Coffee was as usual excellent. Felt comfortable and safe for the duration of my visit.

Friendly staff. Lovely surrounds to sit in. Food is first class. Hot fresh and brilliant service and believe me my husband and I have tried a few places this one is best by far

Nice atmosphere, good quality coffee. Remember to download the app to get credit for future purchases. I like to have the filter coffee and (while not unique to this outlet) sometimes it has run out and you have to wait for them to brew some more.
