Lovely place, good food and pleasant staff

Dropped by for a bar lunch and managed to get a table. Sometimes, especially if you're in a large group, it's better to book ahead as this place can get busy. On the day of our visit, we had the carvery, a hamburger and chips and a sticky toffee pudding. All the food that came to the table was delicious, no faults about any of it, in fact, the sticky toffee pudding was one of the best tasting ones I have had, only let down by the fact it was cold. Luckily, the custard was hot. The latte machine on our visit was, unfortunately, broken, so it was cups of tea and juice instead. The servers were polite, prompt and well presented.

Staff was so friendly and I also must add they did the best carvery I’ve ever tasted !

Kerri was very helpful and attentive

We came in today for a lovely lunch. Food was excellent and our server Kerri was brilliant. Nothing was too much and she was consitant in everything she done.

Can't believe we have never been here before, it was excellent 👌, from the lovely friendly staff to the great selection of meals. Great value for money. A huge thing for us is being able to book a dog friendly table for Brodie, who was well catered for too, even got a blanket to lay on ❤️. We will Def be back, think this is our new favourite eating place.

We were greeted at the door and when being shown to the table were Asked about any dietary restrictions we may have had . Explained it would be table service and someone would be back soon to take our food orders . Service was quick, food tasty and staff.very friendly

My Husband and I went here quite last minute but actually really liked the place. The food was nice and fresh and actually really fairly priced. I can't remember our servers name, I think Blake(?) but they were really sweet and just made us feel so welcome. I'd definately go again.

Yorkshire puddings were lovely carrots too! Potatoes were crunchy and the roast ones tasted like they were sitting for a while, cauliflower cheese even after mentioning it to a member of staff who was adamant there is plenty of cheese in the sauce - just tasted like boiled cauliflower. Roast beef was decent with the lukewarm water gravy. Was absolutely shocked to see £4.95 each for 2 pints of apple juice are you insane?? Place was packed but for £12.95 for a full plate was fair. All in all we spent almost £40 for 2.

Welcome was warm and friendly. We opted for the carvery choice for two - food was excellent and portions just right. Only suggestion would be that the plates could be warmer (the food lost its temperature fairly quickly). Otherwise we were delighted with a lovely meal and friendly service.

Food was great. Nice service by Blake can't fault it in any way.

We go for food hear all the time and yet again the food was delicious, the staff were polite and welcoming.. Craig made us feel welcome and had a laugh about the size of the mega grill and yes my husband just about finished it and it was lovely. I had the kebab and it was delicious oh and the tomato soup and prawn cocktail was delicious too.. so compliments to the chef and thanku craig for making us feel welcome and we shall see u guys soon 🙂

We had booked a table for 7pm so when we arrived were shown straight to our table. Service was good, we didn't wait long for our drinks to arrive. We all ordered a carvery, the only slight delay was waiting for the kitchen to prepare a vegan tartlet for my daughter. Overall food was good and represented good value for money. The staff were friendly and efficient.

We had a great lunch. We were met by Andrea at the door, who provided us with extra Gluten free menu as we requested when we booked online. We were shown to a table of our choice and given time to settle, before Graham came back to take our drinks order, we were also ready to give our meal order. Our drinks arrived correctly very quickly. Graham shortly arrived with both our meals. I had lovely Cod Chips& garden peas, Jacqueline had Gluten free Chicken Tikka Masala. Both meals were presented well and we both agreed they were delicious. Andrea remembered Jacqueline from our last visit! and what she ordered and that was months ago, brilliant, well done to both.

Fab dinner to finish off our l little holiday. Dog Frinedly table - carvery was delish - we all enjoyed it - yorkies could be a little crispier 😁

Family of 5 adults and 2 children went for Mother's Day meal. Food and service wefe excellant. All the staff were very good but would mention Beth who mainly attended us and gave us a terrific service.

Had a lovely meal on Sunday and food was delicious. Claire was lovely and nothing was any trouble.

Our family of six all opted for the carvery where you could help yourself to a selection of seasonable vegetables. Good quality food at a reasonable price with friendly staff who are always welcoming and happy to help. Updated March 2025 As always, the manager and staff at Spiral Weave provided excellent service for our family's Mother's Day meal, making our family feel welcomed and valued customers. We all had the Carvery, where the food was well prepared and fresh and tasty, with some extra pigs in blankets on the side. There were plenty of vegetable choices too. The Spiral Weave offers a high standard of service, a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, as well as good value for money for our large family and comes highly recommended as a family favourite that we return to again and again.

I was treated to a trip to the Spiral Weave for my Mothers Day treat from my family. The carvery was excellent and all of the sides were fresh and our server Claire really looked after us. She was so pleasant and checked on us a couple of times through our visit. We'll be back on Fathers Day

On behalf of my elderly mum who doesn’t do technical gadgets or write reviews she asked me to say thanks to Kim who served her well and was attentive at all times and helpful with food recommendations as she can be a fussy eater so went for the hunters chicken and a cookie brownie sundae which was brought to her table by a young polite man called Blake that dessert just made her day thanks for a lovely mother’s day experience

Was served by a lovely girl called Claire yesterday. She was so efficient, friendly and approachable the entire visit! Our food was great too and the atmosphere was perfect for our two noisy children!

It was a very busy day at the Spiral Weave as it was Mother’s Day but Claire was the epitome of professional. Always had a smile on her face and cam to check on to see if we were ok which I thought was really nice.

Claire was an excellent server. We had a tricky ride or removing and adding, yet she managed to make sure we got everything we asked for and always with a smile.

Great space, great food and great staff, Spiral Weave is our go to place for family do’s big or small. We have never been disappointed here.

Kim was very attentive, and the food was really tasty. Everyone in our party had practically cleaned their plates, but still had room for a sweet treat at the end. First time dining here for some in our party, but definitely agreed that it would not be their last. Festive pigs in blankets in the carvery were especially nice!

Breakfast was lovely, staff very helpful and accommodating, face painter was really nice, however characters were a bit shabby looking no padding in stitch, a rip in the fingers of the costume, my daughter age 6 said she know it wasn’t the real stitch as she could see his skin, T-shirt on stitch and the zip up the back of both suits but she still enjoyed. Was nice and quite today which was unexpected but might have been because comic-on was on down the high street and they had an excellent stitch which we caught the end of as we walked past x

Although service was a little slow from greeted to seated and served...it was well worth the wait,food was delicious and drinks served were chilled and refreshing, service was friendly and it was a really all round nice atmosphere. We recently moved to the area and that was our 1st treat night out with friends for husband's 51,st birthday He even got a balloon 🎈 and warm wishes Will definitely be back

Third updated review and a positive experience. Fantastic experience on this occasion. Food was top notch, Fresh Mash was delicious as always and the veggies enjoyable too, and despite being cold the Yorkie's were actually tasty. Gammon was sublime, tried partner's turkey that was good too, the kids burger and fries was nice also. All in all a good experience this time. Very expensive for a Pepsi though, refillable drinks are no longer available sadly so it's pay per pint of juice, think it was £4 for a pint of Pepsi, Jeezo!

We both went for the carvery there was a choice of ham, turkey and roast beef. A good variety of vegetables and Yorkshire puddings. Good selection of sweets to follow that were delicious. We had our wee dog with us and he had his doggy meal of chicken and gravy. Staff were lovely had time for a wee chat with Anthea and Terri. We went out in at the back of four and it was a nice and relaxing atmosphere, it did start to get busier just as we were leaving.

Wonderful visit here on Sunday for my partner and father’s birthday. The Young man that served us was nothing short of amazing. He looked after us so well and he was not over the top and made us feel very very welcome. The food was also amazing and the carvery was so fresh albeit it was late on at night. Family birthday celebrations. Food very overcooked. Steak baguette shocking 4 slices of skinny over cooked steak,soggy baguette,drizzle of cheese sauce and no caramelised onion! Fish tasteless and rotten. Big mixed grill steak over cooked, chicken dry and sausage brick hard! Kids meals over cooked! Honestly shocking. Clearly can’t cope with the amount of orders as food is left waiting under heat lamp. Chips well the chips were rotten. £160 down drain. This place over the years has went drastically down hill.
