Disgusting attitude of the small man with no hair that works here. Thinks is ok to talk to customer like they are stupid considering this is a University town most of the customers are not stupid and he needs to look closer to home.

Great selection of delicious ice creams, hard to beat the vanilla but some lovely flavours, try New York cheesecake if it’s available and the lemon cream. Good coffee too.

If you want an ice cream then well worth a visit. Second time I have been and will eat here again. Restaurant like to charge £5 or £6 for small and not always good pudding. So we tend to come here instead after our meal. So many flavours to choose.

There's a great choice of flavours (although I nearly always go for rum & raisin on my first visit of the holiday!) and a choice of cones/tub/oysters/etc as well. There's usually a queue, so it's obviously popular.

The Ice Cream was very good. At the counter we were told to just go through to the sitting area and we would be served. As nobody came to serve us, I eventually went back to the counter to be told to go to the pastry counter and place an order. Not very well organised. However, that was a minor issue as the ice cream was worth waiting for.

Visited the cafe on a cold wet Sunday afternoon, with the view that we would be supporting a local coffee shop and not a chain. There were 4 staff propping up the counter when we arrived. No pleasantries and we had to find our own table which we had to clear first. The cafe was not busy. Two tables were occupied. We sat down and waited and waited and waited. We wondered if we had to order at the counter, but no signs to suggest this. Eventually we walked out and discovered the same 4 staff still propping up the counter. Next time we will give our custom to the another local, very good local coffee/ice cream shop in South Street. Being very regular visitors to St Andrews we had a very poor experience here and we will not be back.

This has to be THE BEST ice-cream I have ever eaten. Visited on a chilly day & very nearly didn't have ice-cream at all, no idea why I changed my mind (first day of my holiday...you've just got to eat ice-cream!) & am so very glad that I did. I had strawberry and my partner had vanilla. Each was really superb. Delicious taste of the fruit, and none of that nasty lingering sweetness that you so often get with ice-creams which make you need to drink a big bottle of water afterwards. Go here and you won't be disappointed. Unfortunately I live 100's of miles away, so I can only dream of returning...if you are near, have one for me!

I have been to Luvians in St Andrews a few times and would try to support it over the other ice cream parlours in the town. The ice cream is good. However, if you are sitting down to have anything in the restaurant, the service is poor. I visited again today with my kids and waited ages. None of the young Girls staffing the shop payed any attention to me or several of the other customers. They were also mixing up orders and had no handle on the situation/no comprehension of what was going on.... It seemed to me that there was a complete lack of leadership and they needed proper management.

Mainly frequented by older customers. Cakes good. Toasties too expensive for what you get, Cappucino used to be best in town, now too milky and not warm enough (on my last few visits) I like the old-world Italian café atmosphere better than the hectic Costa across the road, but get better coffee at Costa.. Usually no queues, table service by lovely staff. I'll keep using Luvian's and hope the coffee improves.
