BrewDog in Fife

We went to brewdog for the first time and I was shocked. We waited 1hr and 15 mins for our food!! And 20 mins for our pudding we ended up cancelling the order and leaving.The food was very poor because the tacos and there was way to much sauce on them and also way to much sauce on the burgers . We also got more tacos and the wrap part was very dry. My experience was awful

We have visited Brewdog many times sometimes good and sometimes mediocre unfortunately today was very disappointing and won’t be returning. Food took over 1hr to arrive, we had to say to the staff as people who came in 30mins after us were being served their food. After advising the staff our food eventually arrived and all dishes were absolutely smothered in sauce to the point it was difficult to eat. The Korean chicken tacos were literally dripping in sauce and unable to roll up & eat like you would a taco & I finally attempted to cut up and eat with knife & fork. We then made the mistake to order 2 deserts that never turned up and finally just said to the manager can we have our bill.We did tell them about our issues and he apologised and we did get a discount off the bill. We go to brewdog because it’s relaxed we take our dog and my 12year old son normally enjoys but I’m afraid we won’t be back. Too many better places in St Andrews to go.

Other than the nice atmosphere this place is awful. My experience started off okay when I went in with my friends (8 of us in total) and the vibe and aesthetic of the place seemed really nice. The prices were a bit shocking but most of us planned on sharing food so it wasn’t a big deal for us but they were still absurdly high. The first issue was our food taking forever to arrive (40 minutes maybe?) and when it did the order was wrong. The food was mid at best and I also found hair in my chicken 🤢. When we went to pay we were informed that they did not take cash which we weren’t aware of as there was no sign or notice saying that they only took card, the guy serving us had quite an attitude and was very rude when saying there was no other way to pay which I find quite ridiculous. Thankfully we were able to pay by card at the expense of one of my friends but overall it was a very poor experience and they should really put something CLEARLY stating that they do not take cash. They should also maybe invest in some hair nets for the kitchen staff.

Great location, rough environment nice designed but we found it expensive and small portions (we didn't got burgers).

First time here and have to say, I love the concept of the simple menu...but the burger party was so thin that I felt like I was eating a dry burger bun. Most defo a disappointment as we expected a juicy burger. I enjoy a smash burger but not a patty smashed to the point where there is hardly any patty! Was not value for money and I wouldn't come back simply for that reason. There are other places where you can enjoy a juicy burger for the same price.

Great pub, with an excellent special pint of the day, student discount on beer, and an amazing lunch special M-F, 11 quid for a burger, fries and a pint!

We got a discount because we were studends food was delicious but we have waited around 45 minutes for the food because we were 10 people but it is still a long time

3.5/5 stars. Service was incredibly friendly and respectful. Needless to say, huge selection of beers. I got to try a few before deciding, and also won a free dessert because of a game of rock, scissors, paper. Fantastic place to go when it’s quiet, and you can have nice rekaxed chats with staff. The food comes in huge portions but…I don’t know, it’s just not that tasty, especially for the price. If I went back, it would be for a soft drink and the nice service. 100% recommended.

Group of 8 of us were out for food and drink and had booked here for an evening meal on Sunday. Unfortunately the booing and paying for meal system didn’t work because one item wasn’t available on the menu. So we had to re do our order. After an hour we were about to leave as still no sign of any food. Ainslie (assistant manager) started to look after us and if it hadn’t been for her exceptional customer service, understanding and support we would have walked out. Food was nice, mainly burgers and sides and all 8 people were filled up. So the beers, the food, the sides weren’t the star of the show but the employee- Ainslie, bravo

Came here for unlimited wings, at the recommendation of a close acquaintance. Server took my blue cheese, then was informed that it would be an additional charge to get extra!!! This would never happen at an American establishment. The breaded skin:meat ratio was off as well. Not my ideal combination!!! Don’t recommend for wings.

We've visited twice in the last few months. First time in December the food was great but we were really cold. We returned as we got a voucher for a half price meal in January and thought it would be warmer. Unfortunately this time my food (loaded fries with chicken) wasn't great - chicken was greasy and certainly not breast meat which I expected. My partner's chicken wings were delicious though. But, we were still freezing. It feels as if the air conditioning is on which definitely isn't needed in St Andrews in the winter. We tried moving to different tables but it felt the same everywhere.

Disappointed by Staff Attitude at BrewDog St Andrews I’ve always appreciated BrewDog’s great atmosphere and student-friendly approach, but unfortunately, my experience tonight left me quite disappointed. We visited for food and drinks and wanted to take advantage of the "buy one burger, get the second for £1" deal. When it came time to pay, I asked if we could pay for the deal first, then pay separately for the rest so that the student discount could be applied—something a staff member had kindly accommodated for us the previous week. However, instead of a polite explanation of their policy, the staff member, Samantha, told us that our request was "very cheeky" and outright refused to make any adjustments. We understand that it may be against the rules to split the bill in this way, but given that a single burger costs around £15 without any sides, it would have been nice if the student discount could have at least been applied to the drinks. I understand if there are strict policies in place, but the way this was handled felt unnecessarily dismissive and unwelcoming. It’s disappointing because BrewDog has always been great at supporting students, and this experience didn’t reflect that. I hope management can ensure that staff handle these situations with a bit more professionalism and courtesy in the future.

Apart from the awesome beers and delicious food the team that looked after us during our visit were outstanding friendly, knowledgeable and a real credit to the bar. What brewdog does well is not to have a huge food menu but food you'd actually want to have with beers. Bonus tonight was we won the rock paper scissors challenge and got a desert for free👌

It was terrible as you were closed. We were booked for 5pm but got a call that you would not open until 6pm due to the storm. We were happy with this as it is my husbands favourite and it was his birthday. We arrived at 6pm on the dot but it was in darkness, we called and waited about a little but no one appeared. Very disappointed as we would have made other arrangements for dinner if you had just cancelled- so we never ate til very late, not great when we had out 9 year old son with us.

Would definitely go back on our next visit to St Andrews! Friendly staff, great atmosphere, great food, good choice of craft beers …… nothing to complain about!

Great lunch today. Great service from the entire team. Great food at a great price (took advantage of the £1 burger deal). Great beer. Looking forwards to returning again soon. Wings Wednesday at Brewdog is easily the best causal dining experience in St Andrews. Cheap prices, tasty food, and a warm atmosphere. Our waitress (can’t remember her name but she served us around about 6pm 27/11) was particularly lovely. Thank you!

Lovely food! I only go for food and not a beer! Personally I don’t like the IPA beers so I just don’t bother but always stop for food! Love it the chicken burgers are some of the best I’ve had.

An adventuorous food experience . This is the first time I’ve seen avocado & egg toast messed up. It had a weird garlic taste to the funny mixture of chopped tomatoes, it’s tasteless. I had to order blue cheese dressing to finish it. Service was good.

BrewDog: A Hidden Gem for Non-Drinkers. I'm not a drinker (ever, at all!!), but I recently discovered a hidden gem at BrewDog during my visit to Scotland. The chicken in the "Hoppy Meal" was absolutely phenomenal. Crispy, juicy, and perfectly breaded, it was the best chicken I've had in years!! And to my surprise, their beer options were equally impressive. I tried the "Iron Brew" beer as a suggestion from our waitress, Samantha, and and it was like liquid candy!!! I drank the whole thing!! I've never drank a beer before and I'm 31. As an American, finding ranch at this place was a big deal! It's a staple sauce for so many of us, and my friends and I were thrilled to finally find it!! The staff were all great, but Samantha, was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful, suggesting the perfect pairing for my meal, and my friends as well. She was so kind and funny and really went over the top for us. If you're looking for a delicious and casual dining experience, BrewDog is a must-visit!

As a regular BrewDog user this one was right up there with the best the staff member was very efficient and she was really friendly

Coeliac gluten-free options are available, specifically two chicken wing dishes and two loaded fries. Also, two types of GF beers.

Great place in St Andrews to grab a drink, plenty of choice and a fun quiz night going on whilst we were there as well. They also serve food but we had a reservation elsewhere so popped in for a drink before, would go back again.

Had some very pleasant dinner and drinks here, helped very kindly by an exceptionally friendly group of floor/bar staff. The company is what it is these days, but the staff here were brilliant.

I spent an evening alone and found myself at BrewDog for dinner; I consumed a whole plate of spicy chicken wings and tried a couple of beers they produce: top 👍🏻

1st time there, food menu is WAY better than Dundee Brewdog! Staff were attentive and took orders while at the table, wasn't made to attend the bar for our orders which was great. Never spent as much as we could have done had no complaints about drink pricing.

Fantastic experience. Had brunch voucher from Itison so was a good opportunity to try some different dishes. Have to say they were all great. Family had a great time made even better by the friendly and very helpful staff. A really good all round experience. Couldn’t recommend enough.

Brewdog bars are great! Kid friendly (usually til 8pm at most of their bars but check first!) Always dog friendly! The staff are friendly and helpful. Loads of drink options including alcohol free beer, craft beer, cocktails and more.

Food good, expensive- really expensive. £16 for a two person shared vegan platter, just the appetizer. Staff were kind, but service was especially slow for getting the check. Atmosphere was strange- place seems to have an identity crisis between being a bar and a restaurant. There’s only one tv for watching games, and it’s only visible to a small portion of the restaurant. Expect to spend around £23 per person if you are ordering drinks and an entree.

I visited the St Andrews Brewdog late April 2024 (first time I’ve been to a Brewdog). We were a party of 6 and spent a fantastic 3 hours or so trying out the sample drink paddles; the food was equally delicious. Staff at the Brewdog were very friendly and attentive in particular Samantha who made our time there even more enjoyable.

The food was good. Very tasty, but the portions were a little on the small side. The service is very attentive but I've given 3 stars as the toilets are disgusting and don't look like they get cleaned.

Freundliche Mitarbeiter, gutes Bier und leckere Burger - mehr braucht man nicht. Zudem viele Sitzplätze und schönes Design.

BrewDog's punk aesthetic works well amongst St. Andrews large student population. Here they nurse their drink for an evening whilst playing one of the pubs boardgames piled high in a corner. That said, they also serve a good pint and popping in for a drink will take you think back to those students days.

We had a lovely time at Brewdog St Andrews, we go there all the time and this time we checked out 2-4-1 vegan Monday, best date ever! Our server Matthew Lewis was so so nice and really made our experience special. Thank you so much!

Great food for Coeliacs: they even have GF beer! Love the college vibe. The buffalo wings with blue cheese is a winner in my book!

I come here quite often. I've become desensitised to their expensive food a bit. HOWEVER, their fries are taking the piss - £6 for a *cup* of fries (£4.95 + £1 spicy salt). I thought there was a mistake when they delivered. I'd suggest less stupid pricing, OR the menu say "small cup of chips". They could have at least one thing here that isn't an obvious cash-grab At least they're not making me overweight, you'd have to be rich

We came for the kids eat free easter holiday special. The kids had a great time, the food was nice and they loved their colouring books, we loved the saving from the special offer! One thing that would've really improved our experience was being given a little more time when we arrived to get settled and look at the menu etc. We were approached less than 5 minutes after arrival to order drinks, while this seems helpful and attentive having arrived with 3 small children I'd barely got all our coats off at this point! We were approached 3 more times at which point we just ordered on the spot without looking at the menu properly. We didn't end up choosing very well which was unfortunate. I'm sure other types of groups enjoy being served in this way but as a group with small children we just need a little more alone time to read the menu to the kids etc.

I have been visiting this Brewdog over a hundred times in the last year, but unfortunately wont ever be going back due to the worst table service I have ever experienced. being asked to clean a accidental spillage on the floor mid meal is beyond unacceptable. Avoid this establishment at all costs!

I’ve been to several BrewDog establishments. I have no problem with the franchise, nor generally the offerings of the food and beer. I would give BrewDog overall a four stars. The reason for this one star review is because of the treatment by servers that myself and many others have received at this particular establishment. In particular, one of the weight staff is rude, unhelpful, and legitimately has made me leave this restaurant early. She on many occasions has been unhelpful with menu selection, rushed us out of the restaurant, and has provided extremely poor service. In a particular instance, she has asked us to clean up a spilled sauce on the floor while we were still eating. When we explained that we would like to finish our meal, she rudely stood there and said insulting, sarcastic and disrespectful things to my group. Do not attend this BrewDog. Personnel make this an absolute no-go.

So, came from out of town. As our AirBnB wasn’t ready yet, we stopped by at 11:55 with our luggage in the rain. Door was open so we walked in with our luggage and we told “we don’t open until 12:00!” So we waited in the rain. It is now 12:55 without any food even though we were one of the first to order. Then the food finally arrived and was terrible and nothing what was expected. Check out the cheeseburger…

Another great Brewdog pub. You know exactly what you are going to get , but the extension of the menu to include Brunch is great. The food is always consistent no matter which town you visit and the service is always spot on.

Waitress was great but no fries and no dog treats. Cmon guys these are basics. That said, me and the dogs will definitely be back as the food is great

Take forever to give wings, and after the 1st round they give out only 3 at a time, the male staff were nice but the females are really dull and behave like they’re held at gunpoint. Board games are nice though

Was a lovely meal for my birthday with friends. It wasn't until I had paid for us all and left, that my friend told me she never received her side order. She was going to mention it at the end but I had gone off to pay without her knowing. Apart from this it was a nice evening , just a little disappointed.

Really nice bar with a huge selection of beer. Team were really friendly and welcoming and made a big fuss of my dog. Not vegan but I had the vegan wings and vegan burger which were great. Wings were only 25p each. Highly recommended.

Casual dining with good value food and drinks. A vibrant place to drink and dine with excellent service!

Came here as a couple using an itison voucher. I assumed the menu would be restrictive but it wasn’t, choose from all the burger options on the menu which also came with fries. The only slight issue was not all the beers on the headliner menu wall board were in the offer, the voucher said they would, however the ones on offer were still a good choice. The food was delicious and the service was excellent, we will return to this bar/restaurant as we were very impressed.

Saw the place and went in. Ideal spot for 5 of us and a dog with one vegetarian. Good selection on the menu of veggie options and extra dog friendly. Service was super friendly. Food was just what we wanted and everything thoroughly enjoyed. Ideal place for a casual lunch especially if you have a dog or a vegetarian.

Have been 3 times now. Each time it has been fantastic. Great food choices, Great services and Great atmosphere. Highly recommended.

We grabbed an Itison deal - brunch dish & 5 beers. Excellent value for us. Staff very friendly, very dog friendly too - we struck it lucky as they gave out doggie Christmas baggies for pooches in the afternoon we were in. Food was healthy portions, tasted great & of good quality. Great selection of beers!

4 of us ate at 6:30pm and the restaurant was only half full, but we had to wait to order and then to be served drinks. We ordered wings as a starter which arrived after our main course. Service was slow all night. Not being able to pay cash was inconvenient. However, the worst of it was 2 of the 4 of us were violently ill that night. 1 had the spicy burger the other the patriot. We were on a short golf holiday and the 2 people that were ill had their trip spoiled by this. We won’t be back.

Surprisingly great food, staff quite friendly but a bit overworked. Found an alcohol free beer on tap, so big win for me.

Used to enjoy this place - drinks still great but food is awful now. Really need to up your game, have staff that can actually tell that what is plated up shouldn’t go out, surely it can’t be that difficult.

We’ve got the vegan burgers with fries and the temple of seitan wings. The burgers were great and the staff is lovely and helpful. The “wings” however are just rubbery and spongy pieces of flavourless seitan that does not in any shape or form resemble what it is supposed to be. Also the music was very loud and not really atmospheric for a Sunday dinner.

We didn't have food just drinks, but the service was good, busy place and nice atmosphere.

We booked the venue for some drinks the night before our wedding and the vibes were really good, busy and buzzy without being overcrowded. However the service was really slow and it took forever to get served. By the time we managed to order food we were told last food orders had closed. For those of us who managed to order food in time they were told the wings were sold out and that was at about 8.30 on Wings Wednesday so was a bit disappointed.

We had the Prosecco Brunch and couldn’t fault it. Good quality Prosecco , which was a surprise and who can fault their buttermilk fried chicken and waffles!!! Their pancakes and bacon disappeared rather quickly too! Great to be welcomed with the dog too! Will be back!

Looking for burgers and fries for dinner. It is a bar with local brews . Burgers were tasty but not especially juicy. We did like the nice char on the patty. Fries and onion rings were tasty and crunchy. We had the Buffalo chicken fries, tasty but not spicy. Service was very friendly and attentive. They also offer board games for patrons to enjoy.

Well I said on my last review that we would be back and here we are again. Popped in on Wednesday afternoon for a drink only and it didn't disappoint. So many beers on draft to choose from and they are happy to give you a taste of anything, before you decide. We opted to try their Punk AF, and we were pleasantly surprised. Lovely and chilled, with a very likeable flavour, considering its non alcoholic. All staff we encountered were welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable. Card payment only.

Nice place, good selection of drinks and the food was really nice. It wasn't too expensive either. We ordered extra food for our meal which took a little longer than normal but it wasn'tt bad. The staff were very nice and helpful 5 stars for them!

So we went midday, so I can't say the atmosphere was invigorating. However, I had children, so it was perfect for the time. The staff were super friendly and very polite, the selection of drinks was beyond what I needed, despite what I wanted.. had it been a Friday night, it'll be different. But the food was fantastic, as expected. Being to the Brewdog in Waterloo, I expected a better variety of food, but as St.Andrews was so much smaller, I understand why. My kids loved the food, so much so they wrote on their boxes to show their appreciation.

Great staff, very friendly and professional, food is good, restaurant extremely clean. Some fine promotions too, but it's the staff, especially the bubbly and very helpful wait person who made sure the honey was left off the meal and supplied as a side with other vegetarian sauces. I wish I'd asked for her name, but stupidly didn't

Visited Brewdog in St Andrews twice during our trip to the East Neuk. Fabulous selection of ales, which appealed to my husband. We had the buffalo fried chicken burgers and cauliflower sides on both occasions, really very tasty. The one thing that stood out was the exceptionally helpful and friendly staff, really couldn’t have been more pleasant. Outside seating area which is great if the sun is shining.
