My sister and I took a trip to the West Sands while visiting St. Andrews and upon entering the beach we smell something devine and stumbled Dook Beach Cafe. We ordered the lobster roll, fig and goat cheese sandwich, and for dessert we had the peach Melba danish. The food was delicious!! I had the local St. Andrews lager and my sister had a mojito. Yum! Yum! The atmosphere is casual fun! We love this place.

This pub is truly a cornerstone of any visit to St. Andrews. You can not beat its location, especially the small patio, and the atmosphere is so golfer-friendly I can't imagine a more golf-centric pub anywhere in the world. A good selection of beers and OK, but not the best, service. Sadly, the food was terrible. My first order, the mac and cheese, was so bad I had to return it. I then asked for the chicken baguette. It was terrible too. Sadly, the menu does not have much traditional Scottish pub fare, which is what one might expect when you are 100 yards from the Old Course.

This is the best coffee shop in St Andrews - but only in terms of the coffee and the food. I love the drinks and the bagels especially are *french kiss* but I would love to be able to come and sit, and enjoy my bagel at a table. The issue is that the already limited seating is taken up by students who have pretty much always finished their drinks. I really think it would be a good idea to have maybe half of the seats reserved for people who just want to come and sit for 10 minutes to have a drink because the shop itself is so nice and clearly very well finished. As a student myself I know there are plenty of study spaces in town so a study free area surely wouldn't meet much resistance? I for one would visit the cafe much more often, instead of just for takeaways. That said, the staff are amazing and the coffee is superb.

The only people that think this place is good are the same people that derive orgasmic pleasure from buying designer stuff while shoving it in the face of others (without understanding what a low status signal that is) and posting pictures of their fancy food (Yeah I review stuff and yeah I post on my Instagram - I only post pictures of my friends). This isn't terrible food for the money. It is literally just terrible food. Stay away.

Wings Wednesday at Brewdog is easily the best causal dining experience in St Andrews. Cheap prices, tasty food, and a warm atmosphere. Our waitress (can’t remember her name but she served us around about 6pm 27/11) was particularly lovely. Thank you!
