My sister and I took a trip to the West Sands while visiting St. Andrews and upon entering the beach we smell something devine and stumbled Dook Beach Cafe. We ordered the lobster roll, fig and goat cheese sandwich, and for dessert we had the peach Melba danish. The food was delicious!! I had the local St. Andrews lager and my sister had a mojito. Yum! Yum! The atmosphere is casual fun! We love this place.

This is must visit when in St Andrews. Food and service was superb. Soup was home made and full of flavour and the sandwich was healthy and again full of flavour. Add to that the vibe ( music is super chilled) and the location right off the iconic west sands beach in St Andrews ( the Chariots of Fire beach). We will be back (and back)

Great food, good vibes, love this place. Keep coming back so I guess that says it all. Situated right beside West Sands, so ideal for some good food, fresh sea air and maybe an ice cream or two!

I have a friend who works here and have been meaning to visit just because of that but I will certainly be back! The coffee was really yummy (thanks Lillian ;) and I had one of the toasted sandwiches which was awesome. They were unfortunately all out of their pasties (guess I’ll have to go back!) and a cinnamon swirl situation that I’m super excited for. Staff was friendly and efficient and I sat outside, which was really nice. (Also a good selection of snacks, merch, and bits n bobs!) Thanks Dook, see you soon !

We popped into Dook whilst in St Andrews. The staff were lovely and friendly and very accommodating. Food was great, very reasonably priced and tasty and there was plenty of choice to suit all. A huge bonus was that it is Dog Friendly. Will definitely be back

An extremely cute coffee and sandwich shop perfect for a sunny day at the beach or even an escape from rain that accommodates for almost all dietary restrictions. The coffee tastes spectacular with an array of delicious syrups and dairy free options. As a family owned business the staff are incredibly friendly and make you feel like you are at home. Lillian was an excellent barista crafting a deliciously unforgettable gingerbread latte. I’ve come in the past and found they make amazing gluten free sandwiches as well. Overall, definitely worth a visit as quite possibly the best place to get coffee in town.

Absolutely love The Dook best hot chocolate in St Andrews and yummy sandwiches too and my grandaughter loved the ice cream. I was gutted that it was closed 3 days of our stay due to Storm Babet but defo the right decision as it was wild but it meant I got to wear the bobble hat I bought from the Dook the last time we were there.

The deli sandwiches are decent, if a bit on the small side and expensive, but if you really want to see rip-off prices, try one of the kids meal deals. £5.95 for a plain sandwich with either ham or cheese, a packet of crisps and a small carton of juice is way over the top. On the plus side, at least the service is reasonably fast.

On a glorious, sunny and warm Sunday we enjoyed a gentle stroll along the West Sands beach and decided to return to the town centre along the pathway behind the small dunes. In doing so, we happened across this marvellous beachside cafe, complete with a DJ playing fabulous 70s soul for customers and passers-by. Service was fast and efficient, and the choice available was admirable. We enjoyed cups of lentil soup, followed by Eden Mill gins served with strawberry garnish. Brilliant. An unexpected and delightful end to our stroll along the beach. We will return!!

This is the place to visit if you're in St.Andrews, coffee and Hot Chocolates all fantastic. The food is wonderful and the staff are just fabulous, so welcoming and friendly. My 8 and 5 year olds love it there, and we can't visit At.Andrews without a visit to Dook! They wanted me to also share that the ice-cream is very yummy and they want jobs as ice-cream tasters there 😜. Would definitely recommend!

Stopped by during a trip to the beach and we loved it so much that we now travel from Dundee with the sole purpose of visiting Dook! The best sandwich, cappuccino and lemon meringue pie I have ever had, and the service is 10/10 every time :)

We have been here several times. The food is fantastic and the staff are friendly and helpful. We had soup and toasty, childs soup, baked potato and American bagel. Then coffee and cakes, a fruit scone and a childs hot chocolate. The coffee is probably the best I've tasted in cafes. The only thing I would suggest is heating the scone for around 10 seconds to make it 100% better! The hot chocolate was amazing with lots of cream and marshmallows.
