Had a lovely breakfast here,all the food was great and the menu was extensive.We were made to feel very welcome as soon as we walked through the door by the owners and the service was very good.The place is immaculately clean and we will definitely be going back.

Live Cheese in York is a dream for cheese lovers! We popped in after dinner since we skipped dessert and fancied a cheese board instead. We picked three cheeses and let our server choose the rest every single one was amazing! The quality was top notch, and the whole experience was super relaxed and enjoyable. So glad we stopped by definitely recommend!

Food great! Service excellent! We went on a quiet Tuesday night at around 7pm. The food was brilliant, the menu had something for everyone. We tried the chicken tenders (bbq sauce was sweet and quite nice), the prawn bao (really tasty, novel and had flavour. The dipping sauce was good too), pork belly (divine!), king prawns (subtle, light and tasty) and fries (maybe slightly overcooked, but very nice non the less) Reasonable price. With 2 drinks, 5 dishes it came to £50.00

The food was bang average at best and the portions were tiny, the cheese toastiest was a tiny slither of bread (pictured) and the lamb was tough will not be going again.

The best place for lunch in town. The bagels are absolutely delicious.

Always a pleasure to visit. Friendly staff, nice coffee, relaxed atmosphere. What more do you need really.

Brilliant pub, really good atmosphere, been going in since it first opened.

The Brass Castle Tap House is typical of the genre and is reasonably roomy and nicely done out. Obviously, real ales are the principal raison d’etre here and from the ones on offer we chose the best bitter which was in excellent condition and very good. The atmosphere was also very nice and we enjoyed our visit.

What a wonderful place! Nothing to fault and only heaps of praise to be lavished on everyone. A small place, I'm so glad my parents chose to book here. We had 10 dishes between 4 and 2 desserts as well, 2 bottle of wine, beer and soft drinks yet the bill was well under £200. Everything was delicious, beautifully presented and very well balanced as a plate. 2 of the party are coeliac but so is one of the key team members. Loads of dishes available GF and we pre-ordered some dishes too which were GF on request. Nothing seems too much trouble, and every member of the team was friendly, attentive and helpful. The toilets are well decorated, clean and brilliantly stocked with everything you could need, even at the end of the night. Don't have any doubts about whether to book, just do it and enjoy a fantastic eating experience and wonderful atmosphere in this seaside gem.

I work on the road and this is a perfect place to get some good food and be able to work. Loads of sockets. Coffee is really nice and the food quality is brilliant for the price I would go out my way to go hear when in the area again
