We visited Central Coffee House for breakfast and had a bacon sandwich and coffee. The cafe has a lovely inviting interior and also offers attractive outdoor seating. The bacon sandwich was served on thick sliced white bread and the bacon was thick and sensational. The coffee was also great. We took away a delicious chocolate rice krispie cake. Service was bubbly.

This is a lovely coffee shop. We had a lovely pot of tea and a goats cheese panini with salad and coleslaw which I felt was reasonably priced. It's a cosy establishment with friendly and efficient, welcoming staff. Well worth a visit.

Called at this place for a coffee and bite to eat. Ordered a cappuccino and Bacon, Brie and Chutney Ciabatta, I think it was. Coffee lovely and smooth, not quite hot enough for my liking. My Ciabatta served with a bit of salad, it was very, very tasty. My only gripe was that the bacon had too much fat on for my liking it could have done with being trimmed. Service was prompt by friendly, nicely presented staff. It had some lovely music playing, the decor was appealing and overall had a pleasant atmosphere. I paid circa £10 which was very good. Definitely a place worth a return visit.

This is a lovely cafe on Northallerton high street. The venue is cosy and nicely decorated. There is also a small amount of outdoor, on street seating. There is an excellent menu for breakfast and lunch. We were there for breakfast and had an espresso, Americano and bacon sandwich. The coffees were smooth and delicious and the bacon sandwich very well stacked with bacon and on delicious chunky white bread. Service was friendly and the prices very reasonable.

This cafe has the best coffee in Northallerton. Hands down. For those who love a proper coffee, my advice is to steer well clear of the chain establishments on the high street and go straight to Central Coffee House. The service is warm and personal, you would be supporting a locally owned and run family business and most importantly the coffee is fantastic! Having been spoilt with numerous choices of coffee shops in London, it was great to find this gem which is on a par with my favourite places in the capital but with better service. I also took away a scone and brownie which I understand are baked on site and they were also excellent.

Fantastic little find. Delicious tasty and filling breakfast and very reasonably priced. I chose the small breakfast, which included 4 items of my choice, toast and coffee all for £7 I was warmly greeted, swiftly served a hot, clean good quality meal. Then leisurely drank my coffee afterwards. It was a lovely chilled atmosphere. Will definitely return.

We live in the area, and work our way regulatly round a number of places in Northallerton for breakfast. Gave the Central Coffee House a try this week after not going there since before Lockdown, and we will certainly be back there many more times. My Breakfast Burrito was wonderful - full of taste, quality products, and well presented. The menu was impressive, in fact it was difficult what not to choose. Their cakes looked really tempting. Service was excellent - efficient and friendly.

Called in for a coffee and bacon sandwich this morning after dropping the car off at the dealership for a service. A cheerful and upbeat welcome from Emma as always then settled in to a window seat at the front of the house. Best coffee in Northallerton was in front of me within a few minutes followed by a freshly prepared bacon sandwich - with real bread and real bacon. Steady flow of regulars visited while I was there to pick up their 'usual' and a regular joined me at the high bar at the front of the house. Definitely worth passing the usual branded outlets on the High Street for a real cafe experience.

We called in here for a spot of lunch, the coffee house was busy and we were lucky to get a table straight away. The coffee house was immaculate, the table we were seated at was clean, well stocked with cutlery and condiments. The waitress that served us was polite and friendly, it was a lovely atmosphere to enjoy lunch. The newly renovated decor really suits the coffee house and adds to the charm of the place. The food and drinks were brought out to us promptly. Anybody who is a chocoholic will LOVE their extreme hot chocolates! A tall hot chocolate topped with cream and accompanied by a dish of marshmallows, chocolate buttons and rolos. Which for someone who has a sweet tooth was a real delight. We both opted for the chicken, chorizo and chilli jam paninis. These came with crisps, side salad and a homemade slaw. All these flavours came together perfectly and the portion sizes were just right. We finished our lunch off with two slices of their homemade caramelised biscuit cheesecake, this came with a jug of cream and fresh strawberries. This dessert was excellent, tasty and light. The Central coffee house is without a doubt one of the best if not the best place for lunch in Northallerton. The pricing for the food is extremely reasonable especially regarding the quality of food that you receive. Anybody who is a regular to Northallerton or visiting the town must make a point in calling in.

My sister and I were having a girls day out shopping. We visited the Central Coffee House for lunch in the February half term and were delighted with the quality of the food and the service. I chose broccoli and stilton soup, served with a bacon and cheese scone, whereas my sister chose pate with rustic bread, both of which were delicious. The soup was lovely and the large fresh scone came with plenty of butter. My sister was given a huge chunk of pate with rustic/crusty bread and butter, which came with a salad. All the food was presented well and tasted delicious. We were so full after our snack that we needed time before returning to share an enormous slice of coffee and walnut cake and a pot of tea. The staff were friendly and attentive and the premises very welcoming. It was just a lovely experience well worth telling others about.

Friendly small cafe with attentive staff and an interesting varied menu of snacks and light meals. We had coffees and panini ; coffee is pretty strong so ask for only one shot unless you really like it strong; panini was delicious and really well-presented with good accompaniments. The main detraction was that the counters were sticky, chairs covered in crumbs, floor dirty, and on looking up the ceiling and window recess were full of cobwebs! This really makes it difficult to enjoy your food and you feel like you need to wash your hands. I really hope the attention to cleanliness is better in the food preparation areas! It's a shame as the decor, menus, staff are all good quality. Spend an evening with the marigolds on guys!

We called in for a quick coffee but after seeing the menu decided that we would share a sandwich. The ladies working there were very welcoming and friendly. The service was quick. Our Americano coffees were tasty and the small biscuit was delicious. Our sandwich was a panini with chicken, chorizo and sweet chilli sauce. Delicious and filling. It was served garnished with coleslaw, crisps and salad. The presentation was quaint. All this and very inexpensive too. This was our first visit but we will be back and will certainly be having more to eat.

Small but perfectly formed. Called for a sandwich but too late, not sure why it was too late as sandwiches are not that difficult to prepare but stayed as desperate for a cuppa and had a scone instead. Good service and the scone was fine. Pleasant atmosphere.

Popped in for a quick bite and wasn't disappointed. Great selection of hot and cold sandwiches as well as salads. Some of the home made scones looked fab. Decent coffee to boot. Would definitely return.

Called in with colleague for lunch after a meeting. Had not checked in advance of what was served but a ham, cheese and mushroom panini and soup were really good quality nicely presented with some really good coffee as well.

Lovely cafe in the middle of a beautiful high street in Bedale. Lots of GF options. Very friendly and polite staff. Food is yummy and freshly baked. Helped to keep my lively daughter entertained and quiet with a children’s book.

Specials were excellent but pannini I usually get was poor. Bland cheese and not enough of it. Onion was not cooked and slices far too big for a sandwich. Salad dressing was excellent. Disappointing as I have previously rated it highly.😔

1st visit to The Greyhound at Bagby but certainly won’t be our last. Absolutely fantastic Sunday dinner, normally only have two courses but had to try the desserts too. Food was superb, excellent value for money, and all staff very friendly. Highly recommend !
