The best restaurants in Hambleton Yorkshire and The Humber

The landlady is rude and very obnoxious. She is obviously in the wrong job. I've been here twice now and both times the service was non existent and the landlady was rude and sarcastic If she can talk to customers like this then I dread to think how she treats her poor staff. No wonder the wonderful chef is leaving. If the landlady doesnt change her attitude I doubt very much she will have a buisness left by the end of the year..we spent nearly £800 on Christmas day alone and to be treated the way she treat myself and my family is a disgrace.I've noticed since writing my orginal review she has obviously gotten friends to write reviews praising her lol. Well time will tell when other people start reviewing this pub We wont be returning

There was a limited selection of drinks (no hot chocolate or bloody marys) and the food was not at its best but the chips were exceptional so i gave it 4 stars , the staff were kind and the countryside was beautiful. Thank you for the towels!

Amazing venue. Stunning and luxurious decor. And Sunday Roast for £11pc. Dog friendly. Staff were first rate.

A hidden gem. Went here because of reviews. They were spot on. Brilliant cafe with great food, great service and value or money. Have told all my friends to go here. Will be back.

Wow!!!! What an amazing dining experience myself and my other half had this evening. Very welcoming front of house staff, polite helpful and smiling. You walked through the door and this amazing warm atmosphere just welcomed you with a hug, it felt like home! The food was out of this world, we ordered belly pork and steak and the portion sizes were good, of course we had to sample the chocolate brownie with white chocolate sauce and ice cream. Absolutely perfect evening and very reasonably priced. We’ll definitely be back to sample the breakfast and Sunday lunch. Thank you for a wonderful evening we really couldn’t fault our experience at all.

Another of our several visits to The Green Apple Cafe & Bistro. We love coming here when in the area. Comforting food and very friendly staff.

Lovely cafe in the middle of a beautiful high street in Bedale. Lots of GF options. Very friendly and polite staff. Food is yummy and freshly baked. Helped to keep my lively daughter entertained and quiet with a children’s book.

Called into Osmotherley as a stop over on a motorbike ride. Smelt fish and chips and couldn't resist. Lovely staff serving great fish and chips which we ate sat on a bench overlooking an incredibly picturesque village.....a great Friday night. Will call again.

Service from team was brilliant, polite and easy to chat too! The two women working there made it more enjoyable! They had a bit of joke and laugh, which made it.

Had a great time at this little tapas bar in Stokesley. The food was wonderful and came out quickly, great selection of cocktails too and Tina was very heplful. Would definitely recommend an evening here.

We travelled from Northumberland to buy a beehive from a lovely young family…. Long story…Managed to find this place on the recommendation that Easingwold was a lovely place. We had burger and chips, fish and chips and fish cake and chips. Beautiful food and very welcoming staff. Would highly recommend. 3 meals 4 coffees and 2 wines. Well worth a detour from the A19 for £54 in total. Little gem 💕

Had a fab time here with friends. The aroma of the food was amazing and really tasty. The gentleman that served us was very friendly and couldn’t do enough! Will be back

Thought we would give the local Dough & Deli a try, as had good reviews on social media. We ordered two Pizzas for collection that evening, total cost £17.20 which I felt reasonable. We collected at the allotted time and brought them home. We had a Meat Feast and a Sausage and Sweet Chilli toppings. Both tasted delicious, my only negative comment is that both should have been cooked a little longer. Both bases were, we felt undercooked, very doughy and chewy would have benefited from a little longer in the over to crisp and colour them up. Would we order again most certainly and probably just ask if the bases could be given a little longer in the oven.

We have been for cocktails after film matinees at the nearby Ritz cinema. The longest cocktail menu I have ever seen and many are unknown to us but equally delicious. Have eaten dinner once and that was good as there are choices to suit everyone. Staff are also lovely. We will continue to go.

Good car very, fresh local food with plenty of choice. Friendly staff, a good meal at reasonable price.
