In organising my Godmother's funeral, I was delighted to discover that there was a cafe attached to the crematorium. What a genius idea - no need to travel to a different venue for the wake. But David's business is so much more than it's convenient location. He was so accommodating, providing a lunch for a few travellers prior to the service, as well as putting on a wonderful spread of cake and hot drinks for attendees to the funeral. The food was delicious, service friendly and efficient and David made us all feel so welcome. Thank you for helping the occasion go off with ease.

My wife and I first came across Maple Park Cafe back in February 2024, when David and his team hosted a fabulous after-service reception for our family and friends following my mum's funeral service at Maple Park Crematorium. If you ever need anything similar, I can't praise or recommend David and his team highly enough. Since then, we've been back for morning coffee and lunch on a number of occasions. (We're heading there again after I post this review!) The setting is so peaceful, David is always so friendly and welcoming and the food is delicious. (Scrummy cakes and scones, too, and very nice coffee.) Maple Park Cafe is a real gem, and we're so lucky to have it in the area. Try it out if you can, you won't be disappointed. (But always a good idea to check opening times on Facebook first, which David updates regularly, as the cafe occasionally closes early if there's a function on.)

Amazing afternoon tea here today. We are regulars as it's such a lovely little cafe run by lovely people! Can't do enough for you. The afternoon tea was super tasty, plenty of it and a great price! Highly recommend! The focaccia and brownies are also a firm favourite!

The cafe is part of the crematorium site but a separate building Beautifully decorated and very modern with views of the pond and open countryside You can book for events or just drop in for coffee and great breakfast sandwiches or lunch Afternoon tea is gorgeous Everything is made from scratch here and is absolutely delicious Staff are incredibly friendly and helpful Recommend the crushed avocado on focaccia with poached egg and a slice of bacon ( or smoked salmon)

This is a lovely place to go and reflect. They are currently growing trees here and have a simple walk laid out around them. I have no doubt this will be a really lovely spot when the trees have grown.

What a warm welcome we had to this beautiful cafe! This was our second visit and the service hasnt dwindled at all! Through the door and we were greeted with big smiles and very friendly staff. The owners David and Vicki were very accommodating and the kids absolutely loved the Gingerbread Man Decorating event they had going on. Spacious and well laid out to suit my brother and his family who joined us too (we were a party of 7 which was no problem for this family run business). The hot and cold food and drinks were very reasonably priced, the delicious food prepared on site also needs a mention! I have no doubt that we will be making another visit. Thanks again for the lovely service, guys! You've got a great thing going on. Keep up the great work!

We stopped here on our way up to Edinburgh. We both had the Yorkshire breakfast. It was delicious! Fresh ingredients served nice and hot with crunchy granary toast. The staff were very friendly and accommodating and the service was efficient. Also it is very clean and spacious so plenty of room for pushchairs/wheelchairs. Great cappuccinos and the cafe is dog friendly. All round winner!

Under new management in past month: now it's Keith & his Thai wife, whose name wasn't given. Good coffee and both friendly & welcoming. Have not been here before so cannot provide 'then & now' comparison, but think it's certainly worth a visit.

Went for a Sunday lunch and ended up having 3 courses. (I skipped breakfast). I like arancini and so went for them - must say best I've eaten! Had beef for Sunday lunch, which came with loads of veg. The cauli cheese wasn't as I would make at home, but it knockes the block off those you find at carveries up and down the country. Baked and cooked to perfection. The pureed carrot was lovely, as was the parsnip and mash. Beef was good, but mine had a run of inedible connective tissue on the edge. Gravey is divine, and I finished with a lovely sticky toffee pudding on a lake of toffee sauce - my fav. And again, lovely. A special shout out to the camp male server who was fan-tas-tic darling! Very confident , helpfull and hard-working individual - an asset to the establishment. These were the great points, and for me and my guests, I'd like to feed back some constructive improvements. The main, on the whole, was great, but for me, I thought the roasted potatoes were a bit bland and dry. There is a massive yorkshire pudding served, which, again, was a bit dry/stale and bland. That was the only real negatives with the food, although the wife said she wasn't overly keen of the beatroot dish. Here is a couple of suggestions from the females in our group - could do with a hook on the back of the toilet door to hang handbags on and, to improve the atmosphere, maybe a few flowers on the tables? Will we visit again? Certainly, when next time in the area.
