Great food! Accommodating staff and lovely service. Heartily recommend this for breakfast, brunch, lunch. Yorkshire rarebit was a treat

The waitress was a lovely young lady, very pleasant. The food was hot and fresh and I would definitely recommend the apple cake.

Warm, friendly atmosphere. Food was fresh and tasty. They catered well for my 3 year old Granddaughter. Will definitely come back.

Always so helpful and accommodating here. Happy to tweak their flat white to how I like it (a little bit extra milk). Brownie looks very simple but don't let that fool you. This is top notch and sooo fudgy!! This place is a bit of a whistle stop on bike rides for me. You can lean your bike outside and sit near enough to the window to keep an eye on it. Free WiFi is handy as the signal tends to die inside the cafe.

The food was really lovely. Homemade and well presented. My husband said his bacon, brie and tomato toasted sandwich was the best he'd ever had.

Food was delicious, the service was outstanding. The lady who served us was so friendly and nothing was any trouble. Thank you!

Four of us dropped in here on our way home from holiday for a breakfast to see us through the journey. We were instantly met and welcomed by the owner(?) /manager(?) and given a table in the window. He very kindly gave us a parking permit to use while we were there, which he later gave us for keeps. A waitress soon took our order of 4 Yorkshire breakfasts and teas and coffees etc. While we waited the cafe quickly filled up, so glad to have got there when we did. Breakfast arrived in about 10 minutes and was very good. All local produce and the eggs were amazing. All in all a great choice for us. I heartily recommend anyone to the North End Cafe. And a big thank you to all the staff!

What a beautiful cafe! Luckily, the cafe we were recommended to wasn’t open yet so we dived in out of the rain into the North End Cafe. Warmly welcomed by a chap who I think is the cook/chef then served by a lovely friendly waitress with the most delicious breakfast I think I’ve ever had!! Beautifully cleanly decorated with lovely old tables and chairs. Not a sticky mark in site which is sometimes common in cafes. Seems very popular with the locals. Would highly recommend. Also dog friendly! Loved it, thank you!

We had a very good breakfast here. The ingredients were all top quality, probably the best sausage from all breakfasts in a week's holiday in Yorkshire! The service was fast and friendly too. Coffee wasn't the best, but the food more than made up for it.

Broke our journey in Bedale and a local resident sent us to this cafe. We had the only empty table, the staff were lovely and very friendly. We ordered lunch which was of generous proportions and very tasty. Service was very good too.

Im a regular visitor to the cafe. The breakfast is without a doubt the best in the area ! But today i tried the Rarebit with bacon (optional) fantastic quality food , great service and a good atmosphere. A very simple menu with homecooked food and sensible prices . If your in the area I highly recomend a visit. Dave Cullen And was back again today for there full breakfast. All locally sourced produce , and you can really tell. I cant recommend this cafe enough. When ever anyone visits I always bring them here as quality is guaranteed Everything that ive had from here is just of the highest quality. Good friendly staff, amazing food and a clean and well organised environment. Well done everyone. See you all next week. Dave Cullen

Great little café offering fresh home made food, and locally made preserves. I can wholeheartedly recommend the fruit scones and the cheese scones, especially when accompanied with a cup of really tasty americano coffee.

Food was brilliant and staff very friendly. You can tell it’s local produce, especially the eggs and black pudding.

Great place and the best breakfast I’ve had in years.. can’t remember a better one. The service was fantastic.. 5 star.. I don’t normally do reviews but I had to for this place. And the eggs were absolutely perfection.. also the condiments coming with the food not after .. very impressive

Lovely cafe. Terrific Yorkshire Terrier breakfast (full Yorkshire but smaller). Definitely big enough for me! Nice and clean too with bright, spotless toilets. Well worth a short detour off the to break up a long drive home.

Just came off A1 .We like to call at Bedale.Lovely staff warm welcome Soup and poached egg on granary toast was lovely .Onwards to Scotland for our holidays.

Had a really delicious pulled pork brioche roll here with homemade coleslaw, taco chips and a dressed side salad. Everything was lovely and fresh and the pork was moist and tasty. Service was great and the toilets roomy and very clean. We will definitely come here again. Thank you.

Lovely little cafe ... we wanted to grab a full English breakfast before spending all day at Croft Racing Circuit ... this was just the job ... yum yum yum 😋

Nice place but we ordered tea for three and got a teapot that just filled two cups. On querying this the waitress said they didn’t have any spare large teapots. We did wonder why she didn’t bring us more of the smaller ones but hey go! The bacon rolls were nice but the black pudding was a bit tasteless. They also forgot to bring our brown sauce. A pity because it could have been so much better.

Lovely locally sourced products. I had a toasted sandwich - Ham, cheddar and onion served with crisps, salad and home made coleslaw. Lattes so good I had two of them. Friendly staff and fast service. What more could I want 😃

Called in at The North End Cafe today for a breakfast. Decided on a Yorkshire Terrier (small) full English. Very tasty, good local ingredients, well cooked. Decent flat white coffee too. Staff are very friendly and welcoming, even brought us a parking disc for the motorbike. Many thanks.

Fantastic little find! We were looking for somewhere to stop en route to London from Scotland and found this on Google Maps. Friendly welcome and fantastic food. Well worth coming off the motorway! Would definitely stop here again.

We visited during a staycation based near Bedale. It's dog friendly and quite spacious inside. There was an extensive menu and breakfast is served until 1pm. I had the yorkshire terrier breakfast and it was lovely. The produce is locally sourced and you can definitely tell. Everything tasted delicious. There's even a blackboard advertising where the produce is from. The yorkshire tea complimented the breakfast well. My friends had green tea, coffee, a scone and a sausage sandwich between them and commented on how good theirs was too. Staff were very pleasant and made us welcome. Bedale was so nice we returned another day. We found Bedale itself to be a very friendly and welcoming village, with a fantastic high street. Lots of independent shops and cafes, with a wide range of high quality, reasonably priced goods. The Staff in the tourist information centre were very enthusiastic and friendly too. The surrounding areas are very scenic and there's some good walks. Well worth a visit

Busy and friendly cafe on a Monday morning. Breakfasts looked good, but we had teacakes.

Way to much waiting time ! Nearly an hour. Waiting staff need to be more observant and informative it wasn't that busy.

We were recently in Bedale visiting friends and found ourselves wandering up the main street looking for a coffee shop. Not wanting to further enhance the profits of Costa or other similar chains we happened upon the Northend Cafe. There was one free table so we sat down and within a minute were warned by the server that we wouldn't be seen for 20-30 minutes. When we explained we only wanted a coffee he quickly took our order. Having received the two drinks in a very timely way the server returned to warn us that we would only be allowed 10 minutes to drink our coffee as we were not eating. The hot chocolate I ordered was luke warm but very tasty and I can only assume this was to insure we kept our stay to a minimum. We would happily have had takeaway drinks if the tables were reserved for diners but instead were made to feel unwelcome and rushed.. Shame. It's also interesting having read the reviews that we are not entirely alone in this experience.

We were in the middle of a circular bike ride and stopped in Bedale for lunch, meeting up with granny who'd driven over rather then join the bike ride :) Three had Yorkshire rarebit (with and without bacon) and one had the hearty carrot and ginger soup, with various drinks. Everything was delicious. Hot but not scalding soup, hugely tasty rarebit. Oh, and a millionaire's shortbread that was superb and I wish I'd got one to take away. Lovely relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff/owner

Great food and great service while being reasonably priced

We arrived at Bedale Station, and walking, turned right heading towards the top of main street. Brilliant cafe, very busy, but served really good hot food, plus sandwiches for children. If you have to wait a little time, believe me the meals are worth waiting for! Note, they close at 2pm, so arrive early afternoon. Thank you owners & staff at North End!

What a great find! Highly recommend. It was lovely to find a place committed to gluten-free options (tbh they are few and far between in North Yorkshire). A really friendly and helpful place, and clearly popular with Bedale residents. The food was good and fresh - yummy hot chocolate, a good range of savoury options for brunch or lunch. Small and very busy the times we visited, nevertheless the members of staff were consistently efficient and friendly. We loved Bedale as well - if we lived here I think we'd be visiting the North End Cafe every day!

Highly recommended! We came here twice during our short break and the food was excellent (particularly the double breakfast bap!) reasonable prices and a typically Yorkshire warm welcome

Great breakfast - ‘proper’ local sausages and good quality bacon but the best not was the local black pudding. Kids loved the American pancakes. Also made a decent flat white (which isn’t always guaranteed..)

Visited today as a small family of four, we were met with a warm welcome and Cafe was filled with happy customers and an eclectic mix of furniture which we loved. The food was simple on paper but clearly made with fresh and top quality ingredients, also really nicely presented. All facilities were super clean! If you're in the area, we couldn't recommend The North End Cafe enough...A little Gem.

Stopped off here for breakfast, lovely warm welcome and spotlessly clean cafe! Good choice of breakfast food on the menu, I went for the Yorkshire terrier breakfast (small breakfast) and added locally made black pudding to it. The other half went for beans on toast. And of course a cup of tea. The tea came in a teapot! So much nicer then a teabag in a cup. Food is cooked to order so after a little wait , it was served. What a delightful sight it was, loads of beans on 2 slices of toast. And mine was absolutely delicious, all products were locally sourced and you could tell! The black pudding was also made locally and was some of the best I’ve had. Good value for an excellent cafe that sources locally you can’t go wrong, will happily return.

The title says it all. Busy on a Saturday in mid October but staff are calm, friendly and great food. Tunes from 1980’s and 90’s but not intrusive. Clientele from every age group What’s not to love?

Called in for a coffee and a piece of cake whilst visiting Bedale and highly recommended! We'd already had breakfast which was a shame as the breakfast choice was very tempting; however, the classic coffee cake was delicious as was my wife's scone. The fact every table was taken probably says it all, we'll certainly be back!

This was a fantastic choice for lunch. DOG FRIENDLY. Super service , lots of seating, . I had fruit scone jam and cream and fresh coffee cake. My wife had quiche and salad, really tasty. Lovely pot of tea too. Excellent.

This is one of our favourite cafés. We took our 15 month old granddaughter this time and even though they were really busy, the staff even brought little one's meal out early as she was getting a wee bit restless,which we thought was amazing. Food is always delicious and the staff are always so friendly and you never feel rushed to leave when they are busy. Would highly recommend.

Visited on a weekend morning. Breakfast options were good, the service was swift and courteous. Sensibly they welcome well behaved dogs, there were three present on our visit and were no trouble at all. Food was good, coffee too. Washrooms were exceptionally clean. Would recommend.

We got a wonderful friendly warm welcome from a gentleman, who assisted us with a high chair, to allow us to sit outside. Our 18month old had a bowl of beans nd toast soldiers cut especially for him! We had great breakfast foods, at a good price. We will definitely call again..thankyou
