Lip Smackers in Hambleton

Specials were excellent but pannini I usually get was poor. Bland cheese and not enough of it. Onion was not cooked and slices far too big for a sandwich. Salad dressing was excellent. Disappointing as I have previously rated it highly.😔

Had a couple of decent sandwiches sat in the courtyard in the sun. Extremely good value, friendly owner and great service - better than service we've received in so called upmarket restaurants. Thank you.

Reasonable prices nice interior cute little cafe with attention to detail high quality serviettes and plates/bowls all with cute cottage style patterns. I had a full English breakfast it was served piping hot all cooked lovely just hardly any baked beans but other then that spot on would recommend

Extensive menu with the usual favourites. I'm a regular Saturday morning visitor with my little dog. Prefer the small breakfast with a nice coffee. Would recommend a visit.

What a cracking little place, set back from High Street, I've been here twice in a Week for breakfast, with my Celtic mates, one over from Spain. Small breakfast and a latte is my favourite, superb little place to get out of town for a couple of hours. 👍

Very tasty food, nice service and very generous portions at extremely fair prices. We had tuna & cheese butty & chicken butty with chips and a fresh and varied salad.

I visited here yesterday. It was very pleasant experience. I was made to feel very welcome. The food was delicious. I would definitely recommend a visit, if you're in the area. I have every intention of visiting again.

Lovely little hidden gem, tucked away but really good food. Had a chicken tikka panini and parter had a chip butty, both delicious and staff were friendly and quick Definitely a good place to eat and affordable both meals and drinks were a round 10 quid. Definitely recommed

Lovely place and great staff. We’ve visited here a few times whilst staying in Stokesley. The bacon sandwiches and breakfast are the best I’ve had in a long time. Excellent value for money, too cheap in my opinion.

The best breakfast that £12 can buy, except that it only costs £6, served by some smashing people. Update 28th October 2023 Just been for our annual visit and I can confirm that both the food and the service has continued to be excellent, in addition the coffee was jolly good too.

Loved this charming old world tea rooms and coffee shop. Such wonderful team working with the lovely lady owner to bring real soul into a local tea rooms. Hearty, quality home cooked dishes, and specially prepared cakes and bakes. Each teapot delivered to table with its own knitted tea cosy. Sweet. Excellent quality food and drink, too cheap for what they offer. So welcoming and friendly, felt very at home. Excellent if you are a single traveller. 👍😊 Outside dog friendly, not sure about inside? Forgot to ask.

Popped to Stokesley on Saturday and found this lovely little cafe by chance, looking on Google. Very glad we did. The hazelnut lattes were gorgeous and the paninis with salad and chips delicious. There's a lovely friendly atmosphere, staff were very welcoming, and prices are very good. We will definitely visit again. Loved the knitted tea cosies, very cute.

The owner Pip kindly made some cakes for me for the office, everyone in the office said they were tasty! I had the aero topped one and the lemon inside was delicious. Would definitely recommend this cafe for the best cupcakes, you won’t be disappointed!

Tucked away in a quiet part of college square, this cafe is well worth finding. We ordered one large and one small all day breakfast with brews and they were great value for money. The bacon and eggs were particularly tasty and we were happy with the quality overall. The service was very friendly and welcoming. Would certainly return.

We visited this cafe for a light lunch whilst passing through Stokesley. The inside area is quite small and there are tables outside. The welcome was friendly enough and the menu perfectly adequte, although some items did not appear to be available. The quality and portion size represented excellent value. However, we were uncomfortable to find that the majority of customers and staff were not wearing masks when moving around quite a confined area, and this has affected our overall rating. Our visit was prior to the relaxation of Covid-19 restrictions.

My wife and I had a full English breakfast each today and it was delicious. Excellent value and service. A little gem of a place and spotlessly clean. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit and we'll be back soon. We also had a nice chat with the owner, a very nice lady.

Lip Smackers is a small cafe and takeaway tucked away in the corner of the little yard in College Square. It is spotlessly clean and the service was welcoming and very good. The menu is typical cafe fare and includes various sandwiches, panini etc along with a small selection of light meals and snacks. Prices throughout are very cheap. We had the all-day breakfast which was freshly cooked to order, substantial and incredible value. And a lovely touch is the offer of free tea refills - I wish more cafes did this. While we were eating, I noticed a lass order a couple of salad boxes to take away - and I must say that they looked top class as well. During our visit we were served by the owner who was on her own due to other staff members having to self-isolate due to being “pinged” by the dreaded Covid app. This has clearly caused great difficulties for the company (as has the whole pandemic period) and it is to their credit that they have been able to keep going and provide such excellent food and service. Keep it up and very best of luck for the future. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit here and have no hesitation in highly recommending this super wee cafe.

We found this place by chance off the beaten track for breakfast. The main high street was quite busy because it was Friday, market day, and lovely to see the town alive and well. A nice compact little cafe with just a few tables, but decorated nicely to promote a traditional quaint and welcoming feel. We enjoyed a lovely square sausage and bacon barm with tea and coffee ( free refills). Staff were really friendly and made us feel really welcome. ( they even treated us to a free cupcake each when they found out it was a special trip for us which was such a lovely touch). Really good value for money, and we would have been happy to spend longer over another cup of tea had we not been heading off that day.

What a fabulous find Lipsmakers in Stokesley is. Found I was going to be able to see my son at University on his 21st after all (outdoors at a social distance of course) and was in a last minute hunt for his favourite Coffee and Walnut cake. 'No problem at all' said the staff and by the following morning I picked up THE most magnificent birthday cake. Pardon the less than stylish candles and fountain I added, but it went down a treat. The shop even provided a food box so I could bring a slice home. Was absolutely as lovely to taste as it looked - light tasty icing, fluffy cake with crunchy walnuts throughout. As good a cake as I've had and made my boy's day too. Thank you Lipsmakers!

Lovely staff who always give you a warm welcome. Good menu with lots of choice and food very well priced. Tables clean and food is always very good. Love the décor and the cosy atmosphere. Cupcakes are the best around and well worth a visit just for them.

This little gem is tucked away. Make a point of looking out for it. The food and cakes are all homemade and simply delicious. I have returned many times and I've never been disappointed. The traditional Sunday Lunch is heavenly, all homecooked, tasty and plentiful and all at a reasonable price. Give this little gem a try you won't be disappointed. This hidden gem is tucked away, but once you try you will want to return. The food and cakes are home cooked to perfection. The Sunday Lunch is simply delicious and plentiful. We just happened across this lovely little cafe when looking for some lunch on a Sunday afternoon. There are pubs and restaurants which looked very nice (nice prices to match) but I prefer a more relaxed atmosphere. The welcome was very warm and they were very accommodating and attentive making sure we were comfortable and happy. I had a lovely roast beef dinner with plenty of veg, mash, roast potatoes and lovely yorkshire puddings. The beef was beautiful and there was plenty of it. My hubby had a hot beef roll with roasties. We spent a good hour or so chatting away. Will definitely be back when next in the area. Highly recommended

This is a great tea room. We will sooooooooo be going back here. Nice people and great, wonderful, amazing cakes. Very nicely decorated, I could stay all day. Do yourself a favour and go to this place. You’ll be glad you did.

This place is as good as the pictures make you believe. It’s worth a little walk to find it, I swear I thought my wife would never leave . Such a great find.

Excellent cakes and buns, well worth a visit

This tea room is lovely. The food is so fresh and prepared very well to ensure it tastes delicious. There is plenty of choice with lots of firm favourites on the menu. The cakes are gorgeous and this cafe is well worth considering if you are wanting birthday cup cakes etc. They are the best i have tasted. Staff are just lovely and you get a very warm welcome. Well worth a visit.

I was out with a friend shopping and as it was getting close to lunch time we headed for the market town of Stokesley. There's a number of restaurants and coffee shops to choose from but we headed for Lip Smackers as we intended to sit in the sun and enjoy lunch. We both opted for panninis. I had bacon, brie and cranberry my friend cheese and onion. Both were delicious and came with a side salad. 2 coffees and a free muffin, as it was our first time there. £10 for the both of us. Fantastic. They have a few tables and chairs to sit out in the courtyard but unfortunately no inside seating. Value for money couldn't be beaten.

On our visit to Stokesley, we found this little cafe tucked away in College Square. Feeling peckish we popped in for a bacon butty and a sausage, egg and bacon butty. We were delighted to find these were served with a free hot drink. There was plenty of choice, everything looked very appetising, with food cooked to order. The lady serving us was very friendly and pleasant. Well worth a visit.

I came across this lovely little establishment completely by chance when I was out and about working recently and was delighted by the lovely quirky and friendly atmosphere it offers. The staff are very friendly and helpful . The atmosphere is delightful and the range of food on offer and cakes in particular is very extensive. The quality of the food and level of the service provided is excellent and the premises are outstanding. It's definitely not to be missed and a must try experience.

Got my daughters birthday cake from here.It was a cake to die for it looked absolutely amazing so different to the normal cakes you can pick up. The taste quantity was second to none. I've been back for more birthday cakes and I would definitely recommend it . Lovely little shop immaculately clean,lovely friendly staff, wouldn't go anywhere else now.A lovely little find give it a try it's a must.

Amazing cakes great value taste and price

We happened upon this unpretentious little cafe while looking for a coffee and a light lunch. It's located in a sheltered mini-courtyard, not far from the town square. A good range of sandwiches is available, made to order for maximum freshness, with pick'n'mix salad garnish. Their home-made cupcakes are works of art - and perfectly baked. Prices are remarkably low, thanks partly to disposable cups etc. If you like a long list of coffee varieties, and an even longer wait for yours to be 'crafted', this isn't the place for you, but our tea and coffee were both good. It's very popular for takeaway lunches with locals, so there's a bit of a rush hour to avoid - but we're all pretty well practised at that, aren't we? Enjoy!
