The best restaurants in Hambleton Yorkshire and The Humber

I don't think I could lavish enough praise on this curry takeaway. No contest, in living in the North-East for 15 years, this is without doubt the best curry I've had in the area. Authentic, impeccable and delicious. A small but worthy menu with genuine curries. It's utter value for money, with wonderful staff too. You'll have to go a long way to find a curry this good.

Lisa's is the least pretentious restaurant but serves really staggeringly good food. Whatever ever is ordered it's always perfect and served by cheerful people. Excellent food and extremely good value. Thank you Lisa

Wonderful treasure hidden away in Catton. Just next door to Catton Hall. Run by Hugo and Amy with Chef Floyd in charge of food You will find freshly dug and picked veggies- grown in their natural season. Top quality frozen meats and hand crafted ready meals Eggs as fresh as can be Cafe serves great breakfast and butties. It is small and rustic - a genuinely small and authentic place to buy and eat the best produce They have a veg box scheme and a great Sunday lunch box I totally love it.

Nice atmosphere perfect traditional lebanese food and very kindly people. Everything is fresh. I really recommend this place.

This is a beautiful little gem of a garden tea rooms. They have a fabulous selection of cakes and other savoury and sweet baked goodies and are excellent for gluten free and always have a really good selection. Their afternoon tea is amazing!

Visited for Sunday lunch between Christmas and new year. Staff were very welcoming and the atmosphere was very friendly and cosy. Loved the bar with the open fire! Food was absolutely delicious- not a mouthful was left. Wished this was our local!

We visited on a Monday evening, the food was delicious and waiting on staff attentive. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend and will visit again when in the area. Well done, superb meal.

Very quiet cosy restaurant good excellent food. Been quite a few times always good. Not cheap but worth it. Always have the scallop starter which are cooked to perfection.

The best fish and chips my husband and I have had in years. Super crispy batter, beautifully firm haddock and very friendly service. Topped off with a lovely gesture of a sausage for our (sausage) dog.

A party of 5 of us went last Sunday at 3.45pm for a Sunday roast. The food was lovely, staff great, service was good, we were served very quickly, however upon entering the restaurant, there was a putrid, pungent smell which we all noticed. On leaving the restaurant, downstairs the smell was still very intense and was definitely a smell of dogs, this has put me off returning. it's such a shame, but in all honesty I can't comprehend why so many people feel it's acceptable to take their smelly dog to a place where humans are eating food, it's unhygienic to say the least and the smell was stomach churning. 🤮
