The service was so friendly and efficient; typical Yorkshire! Would have liked a better range of cakes (really fancied a curd tart!) however they don’t do them. Cakes were a bit on the “calorific”‘side.

The last time I ate at the Sprouted Kitchen was at their previous place and had a superb lunch. Couldn't fault it. The new premises are roomier and has been nicely done out. However feel the tables are too close together and not big enough. You are literally on top of the guests on the next table, and why do cafes and restaurants feel the need to herd people together like cattle! Opted for a teacake and came on a warm plate (which was fine) but the butter had just been slapped on the plate and was melting by the time it reached me. Also the fruit comport was on the plate as well. Not enough butter for one side of the teacake, let alone two. If serving butter and jam/comport, then can I suggest putting them into little separate dishes and a more generous amount of butter. My friends breakfast looked lovely and was. I will give Sprouted another go but they need to improve their attention to detail with the basics and also rethink the seating.

On our visits to Bedale we often passed this cafe but due to the fact it was always full of dogs we never went in. Today we noticed it had new owners / new name and no dogs! I'm not sure if they let dogs in but today it was dog free so in we went. The food was delicious. I can highly recommend the garlic mushrooms with poached egg, rocket and sourdough bread. The Earl Grey tea with optional slice of lemon was lovely. So pleased it was dog free and we got the chance to visit this little gem. It's also reasonable priced and friendly staff. Only criticism is the tables for two are on the small side.

Tried the new venue in Bedale town centre as they’ve moved to bigger better location. Can’t praise the Sprouted Kitchen highly enough. Another fabulous breakfast here. Just had the delicious 3 egg Parmesan omelette with rocket and sourdough toast cooked to perfection. Not to mention the Turmeric Oatmilk Latte. Wow. Atmospheric was buzzing but not loud with good ambient music in the background. Service ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ staff attentive and very friendly. We will definitely be back. 🤤 yum

The new and bigger premises in a more convenient location make a huge difference and after only 3 weeks it has become very popular. Unfortunately they don't take bookings so the second time I tried to come, in a couple, we were disappointed; all hard surfaces mean it is very noisy; the toilet being upstairs will be inconvenient for many. Great food, well presented; not a huge amount for vegans but enough. The service is friendly but on my second successful visit my stepdaughter's request for no mushroom and mine for only very lightly toasted toast were ignored. However my main gripe is the extra charge of 75p for oat milk for ONE person's tea, which is outrageous. There are several high chairs and books and games for children.

Amazing food served by friendly staff. A limited but varied menu that would cover most tastes. We had an open steak sandwich and honey chicken ciabata sandwich, both served with fries. A++

Having seen reviews we booked in advance for the full english breakfast on a Saturday morning - a group of 10 guys. We were travelling from Manchester to Northumberland and pulled off the A1, We all loved the breakfast - everything was perfectly cooked. Possibly the best breakfast we have ever had. The service was excellent. Thank you very much - we will be back both as a group and indivually.

Sadly cannot comment on the food because it was closed. We were visiting Bedale from Darlington and decided we would visit the best rated on Trip Advisor. I checked opening hours and found they only opened 4 days a week Thursday-Sunday and only from 10-2.30pm, so we decided we'd go around 11am for brunch. It was Thursday but they were closed!!!

The food took ages to arrive, so long that they apologised and offered me a drink on the house. I got the last remaining table in the centre of what is a very small space. I noticed only one table had been served, everyone else was waiting. I could see the chef was working non-stop so I guess the problem is that they don't do enough pre-preparation. One table had a dog which I thought surprising for such a small space, particularly as there are tables outside which would surely be more appropriate. I was a bit concerned to see one of the waitresses petting the dog quite extensively. I don't know if she washed her hands immediately after, maybe so, but it's really not a good look. The food was OK but not as special as the menu suggested it would be. The chef came out from the kitchen to talk to the people with the dog and he too spent a long time petting the dog. Again, it's not a good look. The dog was off the lead and came under my table snuffling around my legs, something which I dislike intensely. I doubt I'll be back.

Visited this lovely cafe after reading the reviews whilst visiting the area. Great relaxed atmosphere, friendly service and a menu with lots of choice, especially as a vegetarian who gets bored of the same offerings. The food was tasty and fresh. We will definitely be back to try some of the other dishes. Oh, and great tasting coffee too.

A great place, newly opened at sutton bank.We just had brunch at the truffled hog at Sutton bank. The staff were brilliant, great to meet the new owner and his Puppy. The atmosphere was lovely and it is a truly dog friendly place. We dined in with our 2 dogs, they got a lovely sausage treat when we were seated which was a great idea, we had brunch off the menu and drinks and cake and take- away scones, because they looked amazing, which they were! All the food and drinks were delicious, although they could have been hotter. Overall an excellent pit stop between our walks, I highly recommend a visit, prices were good too.

Just finished eating my “Italiano” bagel (salami, mozzarella and balsamic). It was seriously fresh and tasty. Reasonably priced too for what is quality food.

Lovely place. Foods always good & fresh.. Not cheap but not expensive for the man-sized portions they serve. Staff VERY attentive when it's your turn.. seems to be alot of regulars. I'd confidently recommend this place to anyone.
