Dough in Hambleton

Thought we would give the local Dough & Deli a try, as had good reviews on social media. We ordered two Pizzas for collection that evening, total cost £17.20 which I felt reasonable.We collected at the allotted time and brought them home.We had a Meat Feast and a Sausage and Sweet Chilli toppings.Both tasted delicious, my only negative comment is that both should have been cooked a little longer. Both bases were, we felt undercooked, very doughy and chewy would have benefited from a little longer in the over to crisp and colour them up.Would we order again most certainly and probably just ask if the bases could be given a little longer in the oven.

Really good local bakery, great range of bread all made daily on the premises, the recent addition, "golden loaf" is not to be missed. Also after range of hot and cold sandwiches, tray bakes, panini and pizzas, along with a selection of coffees, teas and cold drinks.Also have pizza nights on Friday and Saturday evenings. Family owned by two of the nicest people you could wish to meet.

Lovely, fresh home made pizza that is a real treat. The cakes are delicious also! Fantastic little place.

Very friendly welcoming staff, nothing is too much trouble. Ordered 3 large bacon sandwiches. Home made fresh bread, properly cooked quality bacon! A rare find now-a-days. Will be back regularly as they really are one of the best bacon butties around! Thank you.

So love this little bakery/shop, everything tastes good. The bread/tea cakes, pies, pastries and sweet goodies are delicious and the staff 10/10 for sure nothing is too much trouble. Their coffee is the best in Easingwold for sure and we are trying their pizzas tonight, I don’t think we will be disappointed.Sit in/outside and they will definitely look after you.

Popped in travelling through to York for work and this place is a hidden gem! Better food and coffee than all the big chains!

Lovely couple, very friendly and the bacon sandwich I had was made special with their own freshly baked bread direct from the oven out of leven 🥖 bread....can’t wait when they’ll do the meatball sandwich with cheese!

Everything fresh & handmade here ! You’ll love there...Breakfast Sandwiches from 7.30am till lunch time then it’s Calzones & Pizza & Deli made delights as well as delicious tray bakes such as Twix Brownie...then Friday & Saturday Nights it’s Handmade pizzas rolled out in front of your eyes topped with the usual toppings then the more unusual deli style ones like Yorkshire Blue Cheese, caramelised onions & crispy bacon served from 5 till 8pm don’t miss out you will not be disappointed!!!

Phoned through an order and was told it would be fresh baked and ready in 20 minutes - and it was. Generous toppings; the newly introduced Crayfish Tail topped pizza was truly scrumptious. Friendly, helpful service and reasonable pricing. This was much better than the “chain” pizza restaurants. Pretty good all round. We’ll be back.

I cycle 10 miles just to get a big belly sandwich. It's amazing and realy gets me going for the rest of my ride. The price is unbeatable for what you get. The staff are always very plesent it's always a pleasure to visit 😊

My husband & I were visiting Easingwold and were looking for somewhere to eat and came across 'Dough & Deli'. It is quite small inside with 2 tables and on a nice day you could sit outside but what a gem on a place! We were made to feel very welcome by the owners and they offer a great choice of food- there is something for everyone. We ordered the breakfast buns and a pot of tea, which was cooked to order and was served in delicious freshly baked bread buns. It was the best bacon bun I have had in a long time...crispy bacon and not greasy. I would highly recommend this place and will certainly be going there again when I am in the Easingwold area.

You’ve got to try the take-away pizzas on Friday and Saturday nights. Fresh homemade dough and beautiful toppings!

Just passing through n stopped off for bite to eat. Glad we did. This little place sells amazing food. We had a hot sandwich n a cup of tea n we sat in to eat them. Such a lovely cosy friendly shop. The staff are lovely n friendly. Saw n smelt what they was cooking n just had to buy a couple of calzone pizzas to take home. They were delicious too. Definitely go back here.

We ventured in here for the 1st time today for a takeaway sandwich, after coming to Easingwold regularly for the last 6 months or so. The shop front on Long Street is unprepossessing, and inside is fairly compact with room for half a dozen customers to wait inside.

We have lunch here quite often and are never disappointed. Everything is home made and delicious !! The calzones are amazing also the horseradish and red onion mayo !!

Fantastic range of food and friendly service. Excellent quality and freshly made, I will definitely call in again for breakfast or lunch.

Really excellent homemade breads and cakes with unusual combo's. Great for takeaways. Very good service. Lovely shop to have in our town.

The people here are very friendly and helpful. The bread is freshly baked daily and can be ordered in advance. There is a range of bread types on offer from white to multigrain bread bus as well as loaves. All are tasty.

Our first visit, but not our last. A wide variety of excellent hot and cold sandwiches with a deli twist,cakes, ice cream and drinks. Friendly staff, food served with a smile and a chat.

There are very nice new owners of this little bakery and they serve lovely fresh food to go and bread. Always a pleasure to visit.

Called for lunch at Dough & Deli & was offered such an amazing array of food ! Freshly made breads including Sourdough, Ciabatta, Malthouse as well as Carraway & Poppy seed there were also many different Pizza's on offer including a BBQ meat feast which went down a treat ! Will definitely be calling back again very soon...

So much choice at Dough & Deli... Everything is freshly made from artisans breads, cookies, pastries and cakes ... I love the cinnamon rolls... And the new owners are super friendly :)

I've been driving past Dough & Deli for months and had to remember to make a special stop and go - I'm so glad I did! Their food is really top quality, my husband is a big fan of most of their bread now (the only reason I didn't say 'all of their bread' is because I haven't quite got round to trying it all... yet!). The best part of this place though are the sweet delights that you can buy - especially the cookies and cinnamon buns! Keep it up guys :)

As someone who loves coffee and Italian pizza this place is great! Ideal for cyclists passing through and for that early morning caffeine wake up. Ran by genuine folk who are genuinely interested in conversation and not just going through the motions. Love it!

Visited and bought some bread and pizza. Very friendly shop with helpful staff. I'm told (by my pizza expert son) that the pizza is delicious! Worth a visit if you are in Easingwold.

Everything from dough always looks as good as it tastes. The peperoni pizza is so nice and the calzone are also very nice too. perfect for a cold day as they are served warm or cold. Very yummy.

The owner/baker was very friendly and the products are excellent. We purchased the Italian bread (best ever) and almond biscuits. My only regret is that our travel plans limited our access to this delicious bakery, however I will definitely return !

Called in to get something for lunch on my way to work. The freshly made pizza was absolutely fantastic! Always served with a smile!

Wow...so much choice of authentic home cooked breads. I liked the seeded one! With a side order of freshly made pizza and a gelato - what more could you want!!!!

This isn't just an artisan bakery, they have pasta dishes and pizza at lunch times. The shop is only small and the lunch dishes are served from 12 noon, but there is usually a queue outside. The read selection is varied and ice cream is also available.

Looking for great bread and baked products for a local venture specialising in local, quality produce. Great shop with wonderful smells and products; the selection of loaves and rolls we bought sold out really quickly and have had rave reviews. We will be stocking them regularly. Friendly, efficient and very helpful.

Always tasty bread and it makes great toast too. Grand children love their pizza slices too. Filled rolls travel well and make a good walkers snack.

My sister & brother-in-law don't live to far from this fab & friendly bakery. Just before Christmas tried some cookies & marshmallows at theirs - divine & moorish. They told us how fab their pizza was so we went along & tried it. As we were having a party at ours we ordered a selection of breads (try the cheese & marmite loaf!) several trays of pizza & an amazing selection of marshmallows for toasting. We weren't disappointed. Lovely bakery with lovely staff. The young girls serving us were simply great & so enthusiastic about what they were selling. Try this bakery when you're in Easingwold.

Saw Dough as we drove past and called in and bought a wonderful Olive Bread, family sized homemade Lasagne, several biscuits and a couple of freshly made sandwiches all were absolutely delicious. Peanut butter and chocolate cookies probably the best cookie I gave tasted in a long time.

The bread from Dough is wonderful - tried a number of different loaves with the foccacio being the favourite. Friendly staff and teh owner writes an interesting column in the local newspaper. He clearly has a real passion for food.

We discovered this shop whilst on holiday in Easingwold, we loved the bread, chocolate marshmallows and pizzas , except the sea salt and pepper pizza which was inedible.However we would have no hesitation in recommending this shop if you are in the area, Colin the owner was friendly and welcoming when you entered the shop. Prices are fair too.

Deliciously tasty. ..All the produce is fresh and tastes as good as it looks and smells...I adore this shop and the staff are just lovely.

I love bread and maybe my experience is colored by hunger and having just been thrown out of "Corner Cupboard" by the condescending owner who did not care to provide vegans a salad without animal products on it but...The staff at Dough are incredibly friendly and nice - and the breads are incredible. The young lady who was at the counter the first time I went into the shop was very helpful in pointing out items without cheese (or egg) and I bought foccaccia and a nice loaf of bread. My mom and I ate the foccaccia - slightly crispy on the outside, chewy but still tender and fluffy, seasoned well with olive oil and salt, giant seedless olives and sun dried tomatoes stuck in it - just as good as foccaccia I have had in Italy -- well, we had to turn back and in the 30 minutes we were away, they sold out of all but two foccaccia that had cheese.The friendly young man who joined the lady I met earlier was very sympathetic and even offered that I could call in an order because they would make extra for me if I wanted to pick up after the next bake.I couldn't have asked for a better experience - the breads are delicious and the service excellent.

You must try the wonderful treats produced at dough. Bread to die for, gooey almond cookies, and delicious ice creams. What a find !

Found this a few weeks ago and have spread the word ever since. The mini Calzone's are a favourite, the chocolate bread is to die for and as for the rest of the product line, well I'm still working through it but haven't had a duff one yet.Excellent little shop, Here's to a successful future.

Easingwold has lots of lovely shops but what it really needed was a specialist artisan bread shop. Colin and Dough have filled that gap and have provided not only the most gorgeous bread but pizzas and pasta too. The staff are so friendly and the shop welcomes you with such a delightful smell. It's a great little shop and well worth a visit!
