Bianco Ristorante Thirsk in Hambleton

Well what can I say. Wife ordered a surprise takeaway tea for the kids tonight and messed up by sending it through to the Northalerton shop (I’m sure I was just as nice) however when I went to pick it up we noticed the mistake at the shop and the team in the Thirsk branch sorted with no fuss or complaints. Even though this problem was our own fault. But let’s get onto the food and service. Well yet again they out did them self’s. This place is always our family go to for a nice restaurant takeaway (especially seeing as my little one has additional needs, and can find loud environments and lots of people an issue.). I must also say that back in Oct 24’ we took our family and eldest sons friends out for a birthday meal and the team again could not be faulted, so friendly, kind, patience and considerate especially towards to our youngest who is neurodiverse. I’m so proud and pleased to have a local Italian restaurant that prides them selfs on their family values and standards.

We had a Tasty meal each at a great price. Pleasant helpful staff.

Went to Thirsk for first time today. Popped in for a classic Italian and what value! 2 courses for £14.95 but they were genuinely huge portions! Good quality, great price, great waiters. Honestly it was worth the drive to go here. A real find. £53 for 3 is tremendous. The olives and bread starter was huge!!

First of all I want to say the staff were so lovely and very attentive. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The food on the other hand, my partner had the calamari which was literally like rubber.. I was not impressed by the food at all. Such a disappointment when I have heard such good things.

We stopped by Bianco Ristorante in Thirsk on our way back to Essex, and it was an excellent choice. The food was absolutely delicious, with a fantastic selection of dishes that were beautifully presented and full of flavor. The ambience was warm and inviting, with a cozy yet elegant atmosphere that made for a relaxing dining experience. The staff were attentive and friendly, adding to the overall charm of the place. Whether you're a local or just passing through, Bianco is definitely worth a visit!

We had a meal there last night , we do eat our regular but concluded we will have to go a long way to get a better seafood pasta it was exceptional , great value for money .Staff went over and above really helpful , friendly and fun . All the food was exceptional .

Lovely restaurant and delicious food. However one of the waiters was rude. We had a Parmo which is a speciality in these parts but it had pepperoni on it. I asked the waiter if he could leave it off and he rudely asked ‘ what’s the occasion?’. He gave me a ‘tone’ when he looked at me which came across as a little aggressive. My partner also thought he was rude and had a lack of customer service skills.

Our first visit and we will definitely be back great food and generous portions ..

Stumbled upon this place purely by chance when spending a couple of nights in Yorkshire. We liked the look of the happy hour menu (basically it means you get a starter almost for free) if you order before 6 pm. Super tasty mussels marinara followed by seafood linguini. My wife also loved her chicken dish with fresh vegetables and a big potato. You couldn't really fault the portion sizes neither, proper adult size plates full of deliciousness, yummy. What a bargain !!

We had booked this restaurant a couple of weeks ago to take advantage of the early bird offer. I am pleased we did as the restaurant was busy when we arrived. We were quickly shown to our table and served our drinks. The early bird menu is extensive with lots of choice . Sometimes with an early bird, portions can be smaller, but not at Bianco. The starters arrived quickly and were lovely and tasty. The main arrived soon after, and my pizza was filled with delicious toppings. My husband said that there was plenty of seafood in his risotto. We were both stuffed, but couldn't resist the delicious sweet menu, so shared a pud. Lovely delicious meal with attentive friendly staff. Thanks, we would love to eat with you again when we come back to Thirsk!!!

Excellent place to eat out in Thisk, in fact - probably the best place to visit. Very reasonably priced, big portions, & meals full of flavour. The "New York burger" is the best, with the biggest chips ever seen. Pasta selection is great. "Fungi Rissotto" is superb! Great atmosphere, right in the centre of Thirsk, plenty of parking. You just have to try it.

One of the best restaurants we’ve been to. Bianco was recommended to us by 3 different people who don’t even know one another (a friend of mine, one of my partners work colleagues and by one of my daughter’s friends!) I’m so glad we took the recommendations because I have never had customer service like it. All of the waiters were exceptionally accommodating & fun, but not overwhelming. We got a true sense of Italy here when our favourite Italian song ‘Sarà Perché Ti Amo’ came on. It reminded us of our visit to Rome. The food was amazing & I love that pistachio gelato was offered. All of the food was well presented and tasted as good as it looked. The atmosphere had a real buzz, which I feel was partially because of how interactive the staff were. We will absolutely be returning here & recommend anyone else give it a try too. Thank you so much!

Called in for lunch today whilst visiting Thirsk. Quickly shown to our table and the Waiter told us he had put us on this table as over the other side a big group was arriving soon and expected them to be noisy, extremely thoughtful of him. I had the Mussels and they were amazing! large bowl of them and not one still closed, my wife had an Aubergine dish which was superb. Great food excellent service and reasonable prices - what's not to like! Will be back!

I visited the place twice over festive period, the food was delicious, I especially recommend the fish dishes,but the service was outstanding on the 2nd visit I ordered wrongly then I realised but the staff new something was up ,I explained it was OK I I'm my attempt at Italian ordered the wong item ,they took it away and exchanged it very professional and curtious well done Bianco Update been in again, still a beautiful place food was delicious & staff very friendly and honest be back soon.

Went here Tuesday night and we're lucky to get in without a booking. I had the most beautiful fillet steak. I can honestly say I haven't had one as good since before covid. It came with chips, mushrooms, onion ring, salad and a sauce. £35 well spent. Perfection.

Had a large group {13}, booked in advance due to this. The restaurant was busy when we there, but the food was served quickly. Everyone enjoyed the generous portions. The manager? was going around constantly interacting with the customers, especially those with birthdays as he sang to them.

We had a lovely dinner in this restaurant. The pizzas were delicious and the chicken and creamy mushroom sauce gorgeously. Nothing was too much trouble and the atmosphere was fun and vibrant. The food was also reasonably priced. Great venue and a must for a meal if staying in and around Thirsk.

One of the best Italians we've been to! We were a party of 7 having a meal out on the eve of our son's wedding. Very busy but we had reserved a table. Service was excellent and we all said how delicious our food was - we'll definitely visit again if we're back in the area 🙂

Went for Sunday dinner they had run out ended up having beef stroganoff which was stir fried peppers and onion with old tough beef with stroganoff sauce poured on absolutely awful There was 6 of us my friend said it’s put him off chickens fajitas for life Never. Again 🤮

This place is excellent. Lovely food, nice staff & a great atmosphere. It has more than enough parking, because it's in Thirsk marketplace & it's very affordable if you get there early enough in the evening to get their deals. You will need to book a table though, as they are super popular. Note for parents with young kids: you can pretty much always slip in at 5:30 or earlier to get a quick meal before the rush, so you can be done & back with your kid(s) washed & in bed at their normal time. At that time of day, it's full of parents & kids, so even if your little darling kicks off royally, all you'll get is sympathy from the other parents, as they know the score...

The table next to us was rudely handled by the waiter and it really put a damper on our evening. It was obvious that they had forgotten their order and rather than apologies they provide a load of poor excuses. I wouldn't of paid if I was them as it was beyond shocking

Incredible food and massive portion sizes!! I've never experienced an Italian restaurant with such generous servings at such a great price! I had the calzone which I think is the biggest single item of food I've ever witnessed. Arrive on a plate 😂 and it was delicious 😋 My only criticism was how loud the venue was and behind us were the servers prep area. Who didn't maybe appreciate how much we could hear what they were talking about and at times it was a tad inappropriate for my child.

What a great place! All our food was presented well and tasted delicious. Pasta sometimes has a tendency to go cold quickly but ours was piping hot. The portions were a good size too and for two starters, two main, a cider and a soft drink it cost £38! We would thoroughly recommend Bianco

We visited for their early evening special (get there before 6.00pm). It was a Wednesday and the restaurant was very busy. The four of us all had starters. The goats cheese was good, but a bit too much fruit sauce was placed on top. FM had a prawn cocktail which she said was ver6 good. We then had two pasta dishes and two pizzas. There were no complaints about any of the main courses. The pizzas were a decent size and served very crispy. My lasagna was piping hot and very cheesy. Certainly worth a visit.

Definitely recommend the cajun chicken pizza. We collected and it was very tasty!

Always want to eat here when we visit Thirsk as it always looks busy, now that we have we now know why. Both had the Roast Beef Sunday Dinner and food was excellent, service polite and efficient but be warned portion sizes.are large. We will be back.

If I could rate 0 stars I would absolutely disgusting service this afternoon extremely rude! I went this afternoon with my baby and a friend table booked for 2. I walked in said the reservation name to which the guy in charge said you have brought a buggy I have no room for one. (Table was booked at 4.30pm and there were only 2 other tables in) I explained I wasn't leaving my son outside so is there a table available, to which the same guy kept saying well you have brought a buggy, another guy then came over to see what the issues was, original guy says she's brought a buggy I've got no room, by this point I am ready to leave, eventually they show me to a table to be told you need to leave by 6pm as I need this table back, I sit down, my friend joins and I park the pushchair at the end of the table in no one's way, original guys comes back "you can't leave the buggy there" I ask "why not" he goes on to explain I need to push my son into a tiny corner as they will be moving with hot food to serve the other tables . I completely understand the hot food but all the surrounding tables were empty, I kindly explained to the guy once the tables around start filling up I will sit my baby on my knee again the pushchair isn't in the way of anyone to which he replied "oh just whatever then" another guy came to take our drinks order, I explained I couldn't stay there and eat the utter rudeness and aggressive tone over a tiny pushchair really was disgusting! Writing this review for any other parents who want to attend with a pushchair don't bother!

Fantastic service, gorgeous food, a wonderful atmosphere,I would highly recommend a visit to this Italian restaurant, you will not be disappointed or indeed hungry,I 10 out of 10

I must say at the onset, that looking at the menu outside, we thought it would be a bit like a fast food emporium such as Pi... Ex..... how wrong we were. We both had starters and a main. The mains were spag bol and lasagne. We have never tasted food so rich and flavoursome from an Italian restaurant. I must also give a special mention to the wine waiter; who certainly knew his stuff. The wine I chose was a Greco Bianco. Beautiful. We cannot fault this restaurant in the heart of Thirsk.

NEVER HAD SUCH A BAD EXPERIENCE IN OUR LIVES,packed with noisy kids and even louder parents .we booked a week ago for 2 paid nearly £100 and were pushed into a corner which we think the noisiest family next to us had taken part of the table away couldn’t even fit the food plates on the table ,WHY IS IT SOME WOMEN FEEL THEY HAVE TO SHOUT LOUDER THAN their noisy kids in a restaurant that they have NO respect for other diners.didnt even get through half the meal head was banging with the noise very very disappointing and feel robbed and let down . After a hard day at work looked forward to a break and relaxing meal and drink with my loved one . A chimps tea party with extra loud noise is what we paid good money to experience will not go back for that SHOCKING . People need to think about the way they shout as I say the noisy families that undoubtedly parents were louder than the screaming kids ,it was 20 times louder than an overpacked wacky warehouse. We actually felt sick when we left ,took head ache tablets immediately.

Excellent food, friendly efficient service. If I have a criticism it is the loud pop music, it seems at odds with the atmosphere of a good quality restaurant.

Looking at the menu outside, we decided to try a lunch. The welcome was fine, shown to a table, which was clean and cutlery laid. After a few minutes a waitress came to ask for a drinks order, she was very pleasant but, rather scruffily dressed in comparison to her Male counterparts. We ordered drinks, then our food. When the food arrived it looked well presented but, my lasagne not very tasty, and very little meat. My wifes food w a s very bland and, the meal was very disappointing. No one ask if everything was ok. Would we return NO.

Busy at 8pm but found us a seat - thank you Starters Prawn Cocktail and Garlic Mushrooms were perfect The daily special of Taggotelli and steak amazing It was just the cook on a £33 steak - medium rare but this steak was not rested Blood on the plate which is not a great look. Maybe we were at the back end of a long evening and someone took the eye of the ball. Such a shame but give it a try

Awful experience, last night as my carbonara was mainly all spaghetti, hardly any meat. I said to a member of staff there's hardly any meat can I have some more please. He said they come like this he said I will have to charge you £2 extra. I said OK I will leave bad feedback about it. He was so rude, argumentative, no customer service skills. I watched him before my food came He didn't even know which table he was going to. Shame the lass wasn't there she was great the previous week they needed her on last night. Michael sorted it eventually but people don't want bad experiences like this with argumentive staff, I won't be coming back or recommending this place now

We visited here twice whilst on holiday near Thirsk. The menu had an excellent selection with very good happy hour deals. The food was amazing. Our daughter is very fussy and really enjoyed both meals. The service was great. Everyone was very friendly and the restaurant is beautiful. We will definitely go back to Bianco

Garlic mushrooms were to die for. Fish and chips were good but the chips weren't chips. They were wedges. When I order fish and chips I expect chips but the service was excellent and a great atmosphere
