Bianco Ristorante Thirsk in Hambleton

Would highly recommend if you like big portions the staff are really friendly and fun I got a steak and it was cooked like I asked came with all the trimmings I had to try the homemade sticky toffee pudding the portion could have fed a family

I've been to this place three times and each time it has been outstanding not only for the food but the friendly staff to and the only reason I've been three times is that I live in Sheffield so that should speak for itself it's worth the travel

We were visiting the races at Thirsk this weekend for the first time and stopping in the town centre. Feeling extremely hungry we popped out for food and immediately came across Bianco Ristorante. The building itself really drew you in and once we checked out the menu, we knew we had to give it a try. When we walked in, the restaurant was heaving, always a good sign, so we decided to ask for a takeaway. The gentleman that served us, so sorry I didn't get your name, was wonderful! He apologised for there being no tables inside but offered to get us drinks if we were happy to sit outside and wait. He was so extremely polite and accommodating, and we were more than happy to enjoy the drinks and watch the world go by. The food was ready in no time and he once again thanked us for waiting outside. We got back to the hotel and when we opened the boxes, we couldn't believe the high quality of the food. This was the best pizza and garlic bread we have had in years! No wonder the restaurant was so busy. Thank you so much to the fabulous host of the restaurant and we can't wait to visit again next time we are in Thirsk. 10/10 for food, location and of course service!

Second time here great food fantastic service

On arrival we were greeted very warmly and thought oh we are in for a lovely evening. The Restaurant was also very busy. Our drinks order was quickly taken, we then ordered our food and our stsrters arrrived a little too quickly. I ordered the caprese salad and my husband the garlic mushrooms. The tomatoes were supposed to obviously be beef tomato’s but the were just ordinary salad tomatoes. In this time I tried to tell them my aperol spritz was flat….the waiter stirred it with my straw and said it’s fine there’s bubbles, I just thought how grim you touched my straw!!!!! And no offer of a replacement, it was £10 😡 Anyway we decided to order a bottle of wine off the special menu, then our main meals arrived. All I can say is horrible, no flavour thrown together so far removed from any Italian food I have ever eaten. When the so called manager came to clear the table he said “all good” whike also putting his thumbs up. When we said No Not at all….he became very rude and abusive. And apart from saying the food wasn’t great all I said was no one came back to check if everything was ok. His reply again was very rude “I’ve been passed your table numerous times” He then proceeded to make us feel very uncomfortable. We eat out regularly and I can honestly say I’ve never ever been treated so badly anywhere. Never ever go there again

Terrible service. The so called manager was very very rude. The starters were average the main courses were terrible and when we spoke to the so called manager he was very rude and abusive to members of our party. My advice is stay away.

Excellent location on the town, great food with brilliant portion sizes. Service was excellent and they went all out for a couple of parties who's birthday it was, with singing and playing the guitar.

This place has seriously declined in both service and quality. They seem more interested in numbers rather than quality. My sons pizza was pathetic, couldn't see it through all the jalapeños there was on it. My dish was stolen straight from the Chinese and and tasted exactly of sweet and sour chicken. Everything now is served with ridiculously large half potato size wedges. Which they call chips. Nobody bothered to ask is any of the food was okay and when my partner asked for my daughters drink, it was slammed on the table infront of her. This place is about as authentic Italian as the curry house down the road.

Food was fantastic; I have Italian family, and have very high standards for Italian food, which I'm happy to say were met by this restaurant. I highly recommend the Pollo Milanese. Atmosphere was also really nice and staff very friendly and attentive.

The food was amazing the staff were friendly I would go again it was amazing the classic parmo was to die for my fiancé had a pepperoni pizza and yet again it was spot on 5 stars from me kitchen staff and front of house did an amazing job

The food is amazing. Not cheap but you definitely get what you pay for. The staff are incredibly friendly and somehow make you feel made a fuss of despite running around at breakneck speed and supplying very efficient service. The only downer I can possibly make is that it can be a little loud just due to the fact they are almost permanently fully booked. Which reminds me, book ahead or you are going to be really disappointed. Very unlikely to get a table on a walk in. Yes, they are THAT busy.

Best food I've had in a long time

My partner and myself arrived in Thirsk quite hungry. It was 3.30pm and we hadn't eaten. We stumbled upon this restaurant and read the menu outside, So decided to dine there. We were welcomed with a lovely smile and shown to a seat and eventually (the only hiccup) were brought a menu. We chose from the set menu and we were not disappointed. The starters were substantial and delicious and the main courses...a pizza and a chicken dish were exceptional. ..with drinks £42 was a bargain and we will make our way to return again.

My wife got the lasagne witch had a bit to much tomato and hardly no pasta but she loved her starter and dessert my meal was out of this world the chicken was so delicious and tender I’m a big eater and they actually filled me by the two courses but I had to finish on top with such a beautiful dessert also the manager was awesome he’s so welcoming like he’s opening his house to everyone also the staff where very helpful and kind I will be making this place my regular restaurant from now onwards I hope this will help people to try this place because you will not be disappointed 👌

Visited Bianco Ristorante and tried the Kiev Pizza – an interesting concept with garlic butter chicken, but it just didn’t quite hit the mark for me. It felt a bit too oily and didn’t quite fit with the pizza vibe. The flavour was reminiscent of a Kiev, but something about it didn’t sit right as a pizza topping. That said, the restaurant itself is lovely, and I did enjoy some of my girlfriend’s pie, which was absolutely delicious. I’d definitely return to try something different!

The last time I was here it was a bank so very different now. We called on spec and were greeted by friendly and knowledgeable staff whose wine recommendation was faultless. Our meals were lovely though we overdid the order by having starters as well as mains and couldn’t finish as the portions are so generous. We’ll bring friends next time to enjoy this splendid Italian food. Another plus is accessible parking rather than going into York and paying such high charges.

Lively, loud but great. Massive menu but that did hamper the quality. The portions are very generous so I was very full with a starter and main. Great value.

Food was hit and miss. My stroganoff was tough .Large portion .I told the waiter no one came back to me It was Saturday they were very busy .Wouldn't go again seems Volume over Quality.

We were late going to this restaurant 8.50 and they closed at 9 so my husband turned away thinking we were too late and a waiter followed him to say they meant last orders were 9 so we were ok we were welcomed in and ordered our drinks and food. I got a chicken Milano that was succulent chicken in bread crumbs served on a bed of spaghetti in a beautiful tomato tasting sauce, my husband had the Chicken el pepper both meals were lovely and worth the money I also got the tiramisu for dessert which was made in heaven lol thoughly enjoyed it was too much for me so husband got a share would go again if we are in the area. We were last in so at the back of my mind I thought they might try to rush us but they took there time with us talking and laughing we were definitely made to feel comfortable fantastic staff

Visited today for first time. I booked for a family meal for my sons birthday and would definitely go back. Food was delicious and service was excellent. Food came out promptly even though it was busy. Everyone enjoyed. Highly recommend.

Lovely place and great food , will definitely visit again.

This is a great Italian+ restaurant. The menu is extensive and I hoped not too long! I didn't need to worry, the service, drinks and particularly the food were first rate and very reasonably priced. The pizzas were massive, lovely base and lots of toppings and the pastas stunning - piping hot, fresh sauces and very tasty. Staff were very friendly and very efficient and were very attentive. We were going to try a different for our second night in Thirsk but this was so good, we returned the following night for round 2 - which was equally good. If we ever return to Thirsk, this will be our restaurant!

Decided to have lunch here on 1st March as on holiday and we wasn't disappointed. Food was nice and staff friendly. Will definitely be calling again the next time we are in the area

Visited Thirsk many times before but usually stopped only for a coffee. Meeting up for lunch we had a fabulous lunch here at Bianco. Portion sizes were possibly too large for me. However, the food was delicious, the service was excellent and prices were very reasonable.

Well what can I say. Wife ordered a surprise takeaway tea for the kids tonight and messed up by sending it through to the Northalerton shop (I’m sure I was just as nice) however when I went to pick it up we noticed the mistake at the shop and the team in the Thirsk branch sorted with no fuss or complaints. Even though this problem was our own fault. But let’s get onto the food and service. Well yet again they out did them self’s. This place is always our family go to for a nice restaurant takeaway (especially seeing as my little one has additional needs, and can find loud environments and lots of people an issue.). I must also say that back in Oct 24’ we took our family and eldest sons friends out for a birthday meal and the team again could not be faulted, so friendly, kind, patience and considerate especially towards to our youngest who is neurodiverse. I’m so proud and pleased to have a local Italian restaurant that prides them selfs on their family values and standards.

Went to Thirsk for first time today. Popped in for a classic Italian and what value! 2 courses for £14.95 but they were genuinely huge portions! Good quality, great price, great waiters. Honestly it was worth the drive to go here. A real find. £53 for 3 is tremendous. The olives and bread starter was huge!!

We stopped by Bianco Ristorante in Thirsk on our way back to Essex, and it was an excellent choice. The food was absolutely delicious, with a fantastic selection of dishes that were beautifully presented and full of flavor. The ambience was warm and inviting, with a cozy yet elegant atmosphere that made for a relaxing dining experience. The staff were attentive and friendly, adding to the overall charm of the place. Whether you're a local or just passing through, Bianco is definitely worth a visit!

First of all I want to say the staff were so lovely and very attentive. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The food on the other hand, my partner had the calamari which was literally like rubber.. I was not impressed by the food at all. Such a disappointment when I have heard such good things.

Been here twice now. Once as a couple and the other time with our grandson. On both occasions the place was very busy but the service and friendliness of the staff were not compromised. Orders were taken quickly and there was a wait for food which to my mind is a good sign. The food is plentiful and reasonably priced. Would be happy to return.

Lovely restaurant and delicious food. However one of the waiters was rude. We had a Parmo which is a speciality in these parts but it had pepperoni on it. I asked the waiter if he could leave it off and he rudely asked ‘ what’s the occasion?’. He gave me a ‘tone’ when he looked at me which came across as a little aggressive. My partner also thought he was rude and had a lack of customer service skills.

Stumbled upon this place purely by chance when spending a couple of nights in Yorkshire. We liked the look of the happy hour menu (basically it means you get a starter almost for free) if you order before 6 pm. Super tasty mussels marinara followed by seafood linguini. My wife also loved her chicken dish with fresh vegetables and a big potato. You couldn't really fault the portion sizes neither, proper adult size plates full of deliciousness, yummy. What a bargain !!

We had booked this restaurant a couple of weeks ago to take advantage of the early bird offer. I am pleased we did as the restaurant was busy when we arrived. We were quickly shown to our table and served our drinks. The early bird menu is extensive with lots of choice . Sometimes with an early bird, portions can be smaller, but not at Bianco. The starters arrived quickly and were lovely and tasty. The main arrived soon after, and my pizza was filled with delicious toppings. My husband said that there was plenty of seafood in his risotto. We were both stuffed, but couldn't resist the delicious sweet menu, so shared a pud. Lovely delicious meal with attentive friendly staff. Thanks, we would love to eat with you again when we come back to Thirsk!!!

Excellent place to eat out in Thisk, in fact - probably the best place to visit. Very reasonably priced, big portions, & meals full of flavour. The "New York burger" is the best, with the biggest chips ever seen. Pasta selection is great. "Fungi Rissotto" is superb! Great atmosphere, right in the centre of Thirsk, plenty of parking. You just have to try it.

One of the best restaurants we’ve been to. Bianco was recommended to us by 3 different people who don’t even know one another (a friend of mine, one of my partners work colleagues and by one of my daughter’s friends!) I’m so glad we took the recommendations because I have never had customer service like it. All of the waiters were exceptionally accommodating & fun, but not overwhelming. We got a true sense of Italy here when our favourite Italian song ‘Sarà Perché Ti Amo’ came on. It reminded us of our visit to Rome. The food was amazing & I love that pistachio gelato was offered. All of the food was well presented and tasted as good as it looked. The atmosphere had a real buzz, which I feel was partially because of how interactive the staff were. We will absolutely be returning here & recommend anyone else give it a try too. Thank you so much!

Called in for lunch today whilst visiting Thirsk. Quickly shown to our table and the Waiter told us he had put us on this table as over the other side a big group was arriving soon and expected them to be noisy, extremely thoughtful of him. I had the Mussels and they were amazing! large bowl of them and not one still closed, my wife had an Aubergine dish which was superb. Great food excellent service and reasonable prices - what's not to like! Will be back!

I visited the place twice over festive period, the food was delicious, I especially recommend the fish dishes,but the service was outstanding on the 2nd visit I ordered wrongly then I realised but the staff new something was up ,I explained it was OK I I'm my attempt at Italian ordered the wong item ,they took it away and exchanged it very professional and curtious well done Bianco Update been in again, still a beautiful place food was delicious & staff very friendly and honest be back soon.

The food is always amazing. The staff are super friendly and very well skilled. The kids always have a good time, and actually finish their food (sorry mom's cooking).

Went here Tuesday night and we're lucky to get in without a booking. I had the most beautiful fillet steak. I can honestly say I haven't had one as good since before covid. It came with chips, mushrooms, onion ring, salad and a sauce. £35 well spent. Perfection.

Had a large group {13}, booked in advance due to this. The restaurant was busy when we there, but the food was served quickly. Everyone enjoyed the generous portions. The manager? was going around constantly interacting with the customers, especially those with birthdays as he sang to them.

We had a lovely dinner in this restaurant. The pizzas were delicious and the chicken and creamy mushroom sauce gorgeously. Nothing was too much trouble and the atmosphere was fun and vibrant. The food was also reasonably priced. Great venue and a must for a meal if staying in and around Thirsk.

One of the best Italians we've been to! We were a party of 7 having a meal out on the eve of our son's wedding. Very busy but we had reserved a table. Service was excellent and we all said how delicious our food was - we'll definitely visit again if we're back in the area 🙂

Went for Sunday dinner they had run out ended up having beef stroganoff which was stir fried peppers and onion with old tough beef with stroganoff sauce poured on absolutely awful There was 6 of us my friend said it’s put him off chickens fajitas for life Never. Again 🤮

This place is excellent. Lovely food, nice staff & a great atmosphere. It has more than enough parking, because it's in Thirsk marketplace & it's very affordable if you get there early enough in the evening to get their deals. You will need to book a table though, as they are super popular. Note for parents with young kids: you can pretty much always slip in at 5:30 or earlier to get a quick meal before the rush, so you can be done & back with your kid(s) washed & in bed at their normal time. At that time of day, it's full of parents & kids, so even if your little darling kicks off royally, all you'll get is sympathy from the other parents, as they know the score...
