A good wetherspoons pub, lots of seating options available, good food and the staff were nice and friendly. It's located in the town centre so it's good for either a couple of pre drinks before a show at the theatre or if you want a nice and cheap bit of grub before you go "out out"

So after an afternoon in Whitby playing the find a disabled parking space, we finally managed to park, as we was visiting friends we decided to call into the ANGEL HOTEL/WETHERSPOONS Whitby for dinner, what can one say, the place was packed and full of drunk afternoon boozers, after ordering our food and finally getting a table, it arrived & in typical fashion the Wetherspoons chefs managed to mess our food up again, This was the final straw, we will only buy drinks from now on, the food was straight out of a microwave/boil in bag type food. Do not order food from this place i expected my Cod to be fresh from the seas as we was in Whitby, but no it was soggy batter oven chips and dried cod my partner ordered sausage and mash with peas and what can we say. A 99p cheap ping meal would taste better, so avoid buying from here or any Wetherspoons.

It was so cute omg. Me and my friend took my girlfriend here for a gift just to see the sparkles in her eyes when she saw the cats was amazing. Im glad cat cafes are in the uk. This place is great, a definite must see.

Myself and friends came for the Dine and Dance event and had a brilliant time the food was lovely the service was top notch 👌 lovely place brilliant staff clean friendly see you at the next one 😀 highly recommend

Perfect place for breakfast if you’re staying in the attached Travelodge. Very happy with the breakfast and table service by Maddie (hope this is correct),perfect thank you .

Went for the first time for my son's birthday to give him a treat. The atmosphere was the first ick, sadly. Using outdated fabrics and an odd table and booth layout. And during a time they should have been busy, we were one of only a few. For much of our time, we were alone. Their cold stone for the ice cream was severely broken, and it looked like it was filthy, or sludge, coming out from under it. Only positive for the atmosphere is the display of all the sweets. They did look really good. Tables had empty dishes on them while the girls in the back didn't look very busy. The one was polite and apologetic, and didn't seem to know much about what was available or not. The other was quiet. For food....sub-par. Taste was alright, brownies for the fondue were really good aside from being a bit old/dry on the edges. They were out of half of the things we asked for. Many of the drinks, including OJ, were missing. We had to go to their cooler ourselves to see what they had, which wasn't much. Same when ordering, I ended up not getting anything for myself and had to modify my son's chocolate fondue order because they didn't have enough cookies for the order. This place has potential. If they modernized it, make it more sleek and professional to match the style of the menu, deep cleaned, updated their equipment, and actually trained their staff, and had better product management....this place could be a hot spot easily.

Went in already had booked a table took 30 mins to get sat down. No table service. Took 1.30hours for food once ordered. Food on floor table not cleaned. Once people had left they did not clear up ( there was not many people in there either). Had ran out of most food on the menu. We told them we had a broccoli allergy so when they did not have most of the veg we requested. They piled the plate with broccoli. As soon as we walked in it smelled of fish. Once the food had come we had hard meat undercooked chips and the nana said “it was the worst meal of her life” (she is eighty and bearing in mines she was in an orphanage where they did not give good food back then).

from a previous visit I opted for the red lion Skipton WOW ....I couldn't believe it a Gala procesion of Christmas themed tractors turned up as I was entering the pub...And what a fantastic Christmas cheer was welcomed for me!!!! Kaitlin was superb Brilliant

La pasamos muy bien aquí anoche. Hemos estado visitando aquí desde hace un tiempo tanto para las comidas como para las bebidas. Mi pollo tandoori con verduras asadas estaba delicioso al igual que mi bistec de gammon de socios. Personal amable. Esperamos con interés nuestra próxima visita.

Pork chops to die for. Duo of pork chops, was informed that there would be a wait because they were thick cut chops, unbelievable chops turned up, cooked to perfection. Absolutely busted.

Not open 24 hours anymore since COVID, but open from 6am until 12am except Sun. The ATMs outside are available 24/7, and the store is huge, everything you could possibly want

This place has turned into an absolute joke. The queue times are ridiculous and half the time there is only 2 people on, one taking orders and one making the drinks. Now they have changed their opening times and if you are seeing a movie after 7.30 you can't get a coffee now. We used to persevere because we like the coffee however the final nail in the coffin was the price increase! £7 for a venti cold brew! £7! however if you drive to meadowhall just around the corner you can have the same drink for £5.75! It's an absolute rip off! We will no longer be going!

First visit after dog walking on beach lovely spot looked nice and clean food was ok but served in bag and takeaway cups not massive issue but the staff jesus there in the wrong game in hospitality you need a smile and a few welcoming words with some pleasantries I gave a reluctant very generous 4 star need to up your game and not just take customers for granted without them you're jobless.
