Caffe Nero - Leeds in Leeds

Lovely people and great customer service, however, i was served out of date cream on my hot chocolate. unfortunate about the sour and warm cream that caused me to be sick in my friend's car. i do love this cafe however and thoroughly enjoy coming here.

Matty is so hard working and kind. Every time we come to visit he is such a breath of fresh air. Thank you so much!! Will be back.

Not a great experience really. Asked for decaf, quite sure they got it wrong and served a regular. Quite rude and inattentive staff.

As a regular customer, I appreciate the inviting atmosphere and the quality of coffee and snacks you offer. However, I have encountered a persistent problem that has impacted my experience over the past one and a half months. While working on my laptop, I have noticed that the power outlets around the couches area do not seem to function. This has made it inconvenient for me to charge my device, forcing me to move around the café to find a working outlet. Often, I end up sitting on the long chairs, which are not comfortable for extended use. Despite repeated apologies from one of the staff members, this issue remains unresolved. It seems that very few customers use the charging facilities, and it has crossed my mind that the power outlets might have been switched off intentionally. This situation has caused considerable frustration and inconvenience, and I am not happy with the way this aspect of the café is being managed.

Staff are always lovely in this nero, the only thing letting it down is the fact they're often super understaffed and things are often breaking (can't even count how many times the toilet has been broken here, or a pipe burst)

Our party of ten ladies visited this cafe Nero last Wednesday as we were on a trip to visit Leeds art gallery. Being such a large group we obviously would have caused a delay in the queue for other customers but Nero’s team dealt with the situation very professionally by dedicating one of their team to deal with us entirely. This allowed the other customers to be served quickly and efficiently. The lady who served our group was amazing. She took every order accurately and processed payment quickly. Everything went like clockwork and the food/drinks were delicious - what a great team! Well done for using your initiative and keeping everyone happy. Thank you.

Stopped for a coffee with my husband yesterday after a show at the city varieties and just wanted to say what a thoroughly lovely fella the manager David is. It was quite quiet while we were there so we ended up having a great chinwag with him. He's a credit to Caffè Nero! (The manchester tash man and his wife😉😂👨🏻) xx

I had the worst experience of my life. I came here after my son wanted to treat me. I asked for a cheesecake and a large rich latte that I requested to be extra hot however, when it arrived, it was neither rich nor extra hot. I went to counter told them that it’s not rich and politely asked to make it rich for me and the staff who made it said “it is rich”, she argued with me, to which I replied no it isn’t and then again very politely asked for extra shot to make it rich, I didn’t even ask for a new one. She refused and did so in a very rude manner, she got angry and then asked me to pay 50 pence which I shouldn’t have done but gladly obliged but she then proceeded to be extremely horrible, rude and unreasonable asking me to go back to the long queue with my coffee then pay for extra shot, go to the back of the long queue with my coffee and wait until she serves me to make my coffee rich, not even make a new one It was shocking, unbelievable and ridiculously unreasonable No one could believed what she said and everyone was shocked

Staff seemed bit disorganised. Food items had wrong labels... Chocolate muffin was labelled as blueberry muffin. I noticed how they messed orders up forgot stuff here and there. The place was but buzzing with plenty of seating. We sat upstairs but kinda regretted it.. it was more compact with fair few people with the problem that it was just too warm, stuff and lots of condensation on the closed windows. Had to sit on a big shared table and I think the couple sat next to us wasn't comfortable with that... The latte I had was ok in terms of taste but it got cold after I took one bite out the muffin... by the time I had almost complete it, it was just too cold, for a coffee. The tea seemed better value for money and was warner as it was kept in a teapot..

I love café Nero, but yesterday I had a very bad experience on this one. Staff was visibly stressed (don’t blame them) and one of them (I think she was the supervisor and the one to be blamed) was very rude. Refused to give me stamps on my loyalty card and didn’t explain why.

I love the Grande Mocha with a shot of Caramel. Plus, their chocolate cake.

I've been here to get a takeaway coffee three times (at various times of the day) and every time, the service was incredibly slow. On the bright side, the coffee is decent, it's in a good location and the staff are fairly friendly.

The seasonal coffee blend - all employees are obliged to ask customers if they want it. It costs +30p. Employees ask: "Would you like to try the Winter Blend?" – I have no problem with this. However in this branch, no mention of 'Winter Blend'. The first employee was asking if they would like "Smooth or Strong" coffee; the second if they wanted "Rich or Smooth". No mention of which of these options was the 'Winter Blend' and incurred the additional +30p fee. So I confronted them and asked them which is 'Winter Blend'. They said "either Rich, or Smooth is the Winter Blend". Which means they each have their own version. What a minefield. It's deliberately deceptive, and they knew it. I visit Nero daily in Headingley and I chat with the staff. The up-sell is in the contract, but there is nothing about being deceitful. This is a personal choice the employees at this branch have made. Shame on them.

Served by a lovely, friendly, positive batista called Dee on sat 7th oct. Me and my son agreed she was an amazing member of staff who conversed with us and put a smile on our faces. It's always good when you simply go for coffee and tye establishment and staff make your day better👍🏼

Not visited a Nero for years so visiting Leeds and stopped at this Nero for a coffee. No welcome from the server, no smile, coffee was good, vegan sausage roll was only ok, milk shake was not good. Could hardly taste the strawberry I might as well of had a plain milk. Had to go back to the counter for milk to go with the Americano I'd ordered. ( Should of put the milkshake milk in it) Blonde haired woman again no smile, no pleasantries, in fact I think I annoyed her by asking for milk that they should of put on my tray for my coffee. If this is what to expect from employees from Nero in Leeds I'll go to Starbucks or even Macdonald's. I work in the service industry and I am there because people shop at my shop and I in turn am employed. Note to staff here..for goodness sake smile, be pleasant and say hello and thank you. It goes along way

Dirty, empty tables outside not clean, staff terrible, don't know what they do. Asked if possible tto clean full dirty table and one of the staff came and just took half and left other, so dirty.

At first glance the Albion Caffè Nero seems a tad small, but with two upper levels with mezzanine and lounge seating it is reasonably roomy and smart. Service was good and the coffees excellent.

Decided to visit as we had the Meercat discount. Usually really impressed with staff & drinks in other branches - had never been to this one & wouldn’t return! Three trainee baristas behind the counter, queued until it was my turn & ordered. Chap didn’t seem happy I wanted to use discount & then rolled his eyes when I wasn’t paying via the app. Slammed a cup on the counter in front of me & asked me aggressively if I wanted a spoon. When I said I’d ordered 2 drinks he began to berate me loudly, saying I had done no such thing. I repeated my original order (2 large skinny, one of them with only one shot) to which he laughed & said no way I’d ordered that. My husband & daughter had gone to sit down, I wasn’t alone & wouldn’t have ordered one drink. His customer service skills left a lot to be desired. If he’d apologised & done the second drink it wouldn’t have been an issue instead of accusing me of lying. I said I wouldn’t bother with the one he’d done but he claimed I couldn’t have a refund as there was no manager on the premises. Absolutely ridiculous & definitely not the right career for him - shame on you Cafe Nero!

Unpleasant. Heat is overwhelming. Tiny and cramped space. No leg room. You cannot relax due to people way too close. Nosy people eavesdropping. No baby change or disabled bog. Overpriced coffee and tea. Low number of vegan items.

My husban d and I went into Cafe Nero for an alternative milk drink and food for me with a dairy allergy. This was perfcet as they have really given a lot of thought for customers who have allergies, not just an intolerance. The disappointment came when we went to find the toilets for disabled customers. We couldn't see any so asked a member of staff if she could diret us to the disabled toilet. "Sorry we don't have the space for disabled toilets" was the response we got. Utterly disgraceful, how can they get away with not having a toilet when they serve ood and drinks? We won't be going there again and will be making sure all our friends nd family now about this. Just not good enough Cafe Nero!!!

I am a regular customer of Cafe Nero, love the coffee and atmosphere in the stores. However, will avoid this one, based on the rudeness of a member of staff. Real shame, but no worries if you love Cafe Nero there are a few other stores walking distance from this one. So I go there now when in Leeds.

Coffee great, staff friendly. Cafe dirty, toilets worse. Come on Cafe Nero employ enough staff and improve your standards, this is unacceptable.

Went to meet a friend today. Lousy weather. The girl behind the counter was marvellous. Regular visitor there but never seen her before, long sat gait not sure where she was from. But my friend wanted to sit outside even though it was raining. She hear the conversation and said I’ll sort for you, she arranged the furniture cleaned all the tables and chairs to get rid of the water. Thanks

I stay in Leeds a couple of nights a month and I always go to this branch of Caffe Nero for my breakfast. For me it's all about the music. They always play classical music, and that, along with the great view of historic buildings from the top floor, really gets me in a good mood for the day. They have newspapers too (The Times - hey, how about getting in the Guardian as well?). The staff are invariably lovely. I always leave with a smile on my face, ready to deal with anything life throws at me.

This is a lovely Cafe Nero, set over three floors.The first and second floor seating areas are quite small, so it’s often necessary to climb up to the top floor. Up here, there’s a variety of seating, including 2 large comfy settees. There’s also a communal table, where you can sip your coffee while having a conversation. The staff are lovely here. We enjoyed 2 lattes and lemon muffins which were delicious. It’s just a shame that both toilets were out of action on the day of our visit.Other than this, everything was fine.

I would like to thank the member staff of coffee Nero Bond Street Leeds she made amazing tasty Hot chocolate I never had like that in Leeds great jobs ❤️

Outside Leeds was chilly, windy and sleety, inside Caffè Nero it was warm and welcoming. A busy Sunday morning, but the excellent staff soon made short work of the queue and produced excellent coffee and pastries. A grand place to warm up on a winter’s day.

Stopped here for coffee (Americano, no milk/sugar) and their ginger biscuits. We like Cafe Nero but these made a very good Americano. Every time we go to a Cafe Nero always nervous carrying drinks up the stairs, this must put a lot of people off?

We all enjoyed our drinks and treats before facing a day shopping in the cold weather. Good efficient service providing exactly what you ask for.

It’s so close to some genuinely top class coffee alternatives (eg La Bottega Milanese and Laynes) that I don’t really see the point of coming here. I don’t mind a Nero in some locations if options are short, but not here.

I came in for a coffee while meeting a colleague. The soya cappuccino was lovely - does exactly what it says on the tin!

To pay more for decaf is ridiculous: it is put through the same machine. Iced latte was not cold enough and the service was very, very slow. Delicious tiffin, but naff coffee.

Called in with my granddaughter who dropped her mango frappe making a right old mess. The staff were REALLY helpful, sorting the mess out and restoring sanity. Thank you

Never visited a Caffè Nero before, but a friend recommended it as somewhere to meet up when in town. Friendly staff and coffee was stronger than other coffee chains, but still delicious accompanied by one of their muffins. Would definitely go again.

Esparcidas por Leeds, mi ordinario de nero en Bond Street, pero me pase la Albion Street uno en mi casa, así te deja. En mi reciente visita en noviembre fue como esperábamos. . . . . . Perfecto

リーズ市内にもいくつかあるカフェ・ネロの一つ。人々が行き交うパーク・ロウから少し引っ込んだ場所にあり、店内も入ってみると意外と奥まで広い。一番奥の、壁を背にできる席あたりだと人目につかず（？）落ち着ける。しかし、目立たない落ち着けるエリアだけに、店員さんが客のいなくなった席もなかなか片付けに来ない、残されたカップやゴミがテーブルに残ったまま、ということも。まあ、気にしなければいいことですけど。(^_^;)

Neroは比較的低価格帯のカフェチェーンで大抵どこも電源コンセントがある席を用意しています。ここの店舗は少し奥まった席があって静かですし休日でもあまりこまないのでおすすめです。

Dropped in here for a quick coffee as we had been busy shopping. My wife's coffee was okay but mine was a little cold - staff soon rectified the situation so service was good.

Nice relaxed atmosphere with friendly staff. Good coffee and good yoghurt. Spent a relaxing hour there and wasn't disturbed once and good location!

Visited many Caffe Nero's but the visit to this one was tarnished by the Barista who was just throwing the coffee's on the tray and spent half the time shouting at her colleague. Not an enjoyable visit at all.

Great place for relaxing and lovely coffee. Lovely team of Baristas. Like all other CNs the music is relaxing and suitable for all. Service with a smile also the norm here. Highly recommended

I'm not sure chains should have reviews but ok. Just like all other chains it is OK but no chain can be anything more than average, just the nature of their formula.

Went here for coffee and panini. Reasonably cheap and good food for the city. Nice high tables looking onto the street. Try it.

Popped in for an after work drink prior to an appointment. As the day was warm I opted for a fruity frappé milkshake with cream. It was pleasant, maybe could have done with a bit more fruit in it to taste stronger but this is just my opinion! Pricing was perhaps a little expensive but I was happy especially when the service provided was of great quality. The server was friendly and chatty, something I always find welcoming in a coffee shop.This is the second time I've been to this branch in the Trinity Centre; will certainly return in future.

Service was reasonable, but the place had great seating way away from the noisey coffee machines of a typical coffee shop. Food and drinks were good and atmosphere good

On my eternal search for a great cappuccino,I walked into this cosy cafe.The taste of the cappuccino made me happy,pretty good for a coffee house in the UK.Not the cheapest coffee ever,but average price for the region.
