Great food and great service. We had a relaxed Sunday lunch with 5 people. Our server, Natasha was knowledgeable about the menu, was friendly and approachable. Highly recommend her and dining at the Calverley Arms.

Came for drinks and food. The outdoor space is large and very nice. The food was incredible we had the Sunday dinner and the signature burger. The service by Lilly was a great she was very approachable and friendly.

Stopped for a Bank Holiday weekend bite which became an enjoyable visit. We had Steak & Cheddar pie of the Day and Puy Lentil cottage pie, both came with fresh seasonal vegetables. Very delicious! Then a Mini fruit crumble with custard and coffee each to finish. Good friendly service from Lilly too! Would recommend.

Really lovely pub, fab food and great service. Only complaint is asked for extra gravy a few times and never came and would suggest younger families be grouped together so older groups can have a chat.

Ven aquí mucho para un asado de domingo y nunca reservamos (lo siento, todo el mundo! ) y el personal siempre encuentra un lugar para nosotros. las opciones de asado son increíbles, mi compañero suele conseguir un trío de carnes, y yo me dan el wellington vegetal cada vez. La calidad es siempre deliciosa y el personal es maravilloso y amable. También grita a Georgia que estuvo de acuerdo conmigo en lugar de a mi compañero que el jarrón raro de la esquina parece una col, no una alcachofa.

Just home from lunch at the Calverley Arms for a belated 80th celebration for my father-in-law. I expected it to be more hectic than usual being Good Friday but it was pleasantly busy and we weren't rushed at all. Jo looked after us brilliantly and nothing was too much trouble. 5/6 of us had three courses and all the food went down a treat. Thank you so much for a lovely visit.

Llevó el tazón al bar donde la señora hurgó y dijo “oh bueno, solo hay hombres en la cocina, ¿quieres otra porción?” trabajando en hospitalidad yo mismo esto fue totalmente lo incorrecto que decir. ¡No te disculpes, nada se fue! Si su respuesta fuera mejor, probablemente volvería, pero su actitud me ha desanimado más que las pestañas!

The Calverley Arms is our local pub and over the last 4 years or so since moving here we have visited on countless occasions, we love the venue given its character, location and great beer garden but we always come away feeling a bit disappointed. The food is always just ok, it’s never anything to shout about and we ate there again last night for the first time in a while and we would say the same. The thing that lets the pub down is the lack of staff, they are great team and have some lovely members but we waited an hour for our meal last night and it was clear to see how understaffed they were. We always feel the bar area lacks comfort and could be so much more welcoming too…..it’s such a shame, Mitchell’s and Butlers have a fabulous site which is so under utilised and promoted….it could be a really special place given the right management and investment.

Held a reception here. Nice place, very clean, food really good and the staff, especially Joe were really helpful and friendly.

A huge thank you to Jo and the team for looking after us today for our funeral wake. Everything was perfect, from the venue, to the food (which everyone loved, especially the sausage rolls) and the service. Jo went out of her way to look after us and made sure everything worked well and on time for our group and she even sorted out individual pudding orders for everyone which was an addition we requested on the day. Thank you so much Jo for making a difficult day much easier for us.

We came for Mother's Day. The special menu gave a great choice and included meals for both coeliac and dairy allergies. Our waitress Millie was lovely and especially great with my husband, who has a brain injury.

With particular thanks to Jo. We hired a part of Calverley Arms for our mum’s ‘wake’, as it was a favourite haunt of hers. We received excellent courteous service all round, with a delightful spread, all for a very reasonable price. Thanks again.

From the minute we stepped in we were greeted with a smiling face. Very welcoming warm cozy place. Room has everything we needed. Food wow!!! Truly delicious, freshly cooked and plated with care. 10 out 10 !!! Thank you to Jo who served us breakfast, very helpful kind lady. Will defo be back.

I made a request when booking online for a quieter table, if possible. When we arrived we were brought to a table in the quietest part of the dining room where there were only tables of two and four set up. I was super relieved as I was hoping for a quiet, chill meal at the end of a long week. Lilly gave us flawless service and the food was excellent. It was an amazing start to the weekend and I was touched by the amount of care taken to honour my request. Thank you so much! x

We came here for my birthday tea with family. We were astonished when the bill came at the price of the Shiraz red wine- £11.75 for one glass!!!!!!!This is a basic restaurant and the price of drinks should reflect that.

Me and my Fiancé enjoyed a pleasant meal today at the Calverley Arms. We will definitely be returning again thank you to the wonderful service we received of Jo :-)

Very pleasant. Lots of outdoor seating. First went seven years ago in 2018 and we keep going back. That tells you we like it. Great location away from busy roads. Large gardens. Was served by Lilly last night (18 April 2024) and she was brilliant. And served by Olivia this evening (18 Sep 2024) who was polite, helpful, and a great waitress. And served again by Olivia on 26 March 2025. She sorted out a small problem with no fuss. She’s personable and friendly, just what you want in a waitress. Food is usually good. The decor and feel is really great. And if you sign up for emails you’ll keep getting great offers such as 40% off mains on certain days, or 20% off. Well worth signing up.

Brilliant food and a lovely hotel above. Stayed for two nights and the room was cosy but very well done with all the normal conveniences. Tried the lamb skewers and the pork belly and both were delicious. Would happily return on my next business trip.

Service is always excellent, visited several times for breakfast. Menu choices are good. Shout out to Jo on the breakfast shift, always looks after us well!

We held a wake at the Calverley Arms for about 50 people and despite the numbers going up and down the staff were really accommodating and helpful . The sandwich spread was brilliant ! Every sandwich tasty and fresh with quality ingredients and the salad and chocolate brownies and pavlova were also a big hit. It was the perfect environment especially after a sad event everyone left full and very happy! A few more people at the bar to serve would have helped initially but even that got sorted once the first rounds were in. Thank you so much to Jo and the team .

We come a lot and Lilly always serves us and it is a pleasure. The roast is fab, I always get the veggie roast and it’s actually filling (rare with a veg roast), the wellington is actually flavourful and not crammed full of dry nuts (often the case at other places). We will continue to come, and continue to hope Lilly serves us :)

I do like the Calverley Arms. Friendly staff and good value food. It's let down on quality at busy times (but where isn't). However it's good value and it's consistent.

Visited on Sunday for a birthday meal. The food was really lovely, sunday roast the best I have had for a while. Our server Millie was very attentive,we had brought cake and she was helpful in bringing it out after the meal and throughout. Overall, definitely recommend and will return. Thankyou

I've no idea why but this place lacks atmosphere. The decor is at total mish mash of styles. Food - average. Service - inconsistent

I recently booked the Calverley Arms for a family function with 30 guests and extremely delighted with the high quality service provided. We had an area booked in the restaurant with the vintage buffet selection and we were very well looked after by Jo on the day. The food, service and atmosphere was fabulous. Highly recommended.

An excellent lunch & drink experience at The Calverley Arms, Pudsey on Thursday 13th March. The three of us arrived for a family lunch without making a booking. The staff were all great, especially Jo, who took care of us throughout our lovely meal. We'd enjoyed pre meal drinks of beer & coffee..then chose from the wide ranging menus. The burgers looked fabulous, tasted even better, whilst I enjoyed very special salmon fishcakes. The ice creams & sorbet rounded things off nicely, and I loved my mini dessert & hot drink. All round a great experience and recommend, for both food and quality of service. There were lots of other dishes I was keen to try! Thank you 😊

Excellent service from Jo today. Had a very nice lunch with a friend. Food was very good and Jo was extremely friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble.

Stayed here for two nights with my two sons. Felt incredibly safe and will definitely visit again. Room was comfortable and a great size for a family room. The mattress was very firm and the pillows were far too soft. Floor was very creaky but all bedrooms are on 1st floor so I don’t think it bothered anyone out with the room.

Had a lovely meal and used a voucher my husband had received for long service at work Lilly really looked after us and nothing was too much trouble and the fillet steak was excellent and everything was cooked beautifully by Adam and Alex A great evening overall

A warm welcome greeted us on arrival at The Calverley Arms and we were seated at a lovely table for two. Many thanks to Joe for giving excellent service during our lunch. She was very helpful with my food intolerance and was very knowledgeable about the name Elwood written into the stone on the wall at the entrance. The food was lovely and value for money with a two or three course lunch option. It’s five years since my last visit but we will be back soon with friends as we would recommend The Calverley Arms to anyone.

We had a super starter both having the excellent Calamari. I had the Salmon Fishcakes which we were told was the first day on the menu and they were super. My wife had the Mac and Cheese which was disappointing. Garlic bread was tasteless and the sauce was too thick and not enough of it. It actually looked a starter size. However, we were well looked after by Jo who was very helpful. Notwithstanding the Mac and Cheese we will definitely go again as it is very welcoming and the luncheon menu is of great value.

First time visitors to the Calverly Arms. We were greeted as soon as we walked through the door and handed the lunch time offer menu with lots of dishes to chose from. We decided to get 2 courses each for just under £20. We asked Jo for recommendations and the food was spot on! Lovely location, very clean and gorgeous decor. Jo was super! Can't wait to visit again ☺️

Thank you to everyone at the Calverley Arms for another lovely stay, we were very well looked after. Previous Stay: Thank you to Catherine and all the rest of the team at the Calverley Arms who were so helpful for the duration of our stay, helping us cope with the chaos of a broken legged toddler and a broken pram. The room was perfect, clean and well provided, with plenty of space for the kids to play, and the food in the pub was delicious. We were made to feel very welcome, and will certainly be returning, if only for the joy of secret puddings to take up to the room after the kids are asleep.

Service at the bar was amazing, your bar manager (Awny) was a good laugh. The young dark head lady at the bar, didn't get her name was polite and friendly. Seated with the in-laws as we had booked, our service from Imagen Was first class. Bit of a problem with my mother in-laws food, chef did come out, break down in communication from kitchen i believe is a true statement. Sorted anyway, thank you.

My friends and I had a wonderful time, celebrating my 70th birthday, made better by Millie who was very helpful and really pleasant and made a big difference to our enjoyment.

Lovely place to eat. Always busy. Staff are friendly and attentive. Food is gorgeous. Very tasty and beautifully presented. If I want to be picky, the staff member attending our table forgot to order our drinks initially, but another staff member sorted that out. Would definitely recommend and we will be returning as it's one of our favourite places to eat.

Nipped in for lunch one day last weekend. The setting is beautiful (stunning building!) and the staff were all extremely friendly & welcoming. Our meals were all delicious! We'll definitely be back next time we're in the area.

Absolutely wonderful place to visit! Beautiful building, amazing staff, delicious food, and spacious rooms. If I'm in the area, this is the only place I'm going. Also - the roaring fire was both welcome and stunning. Just a fantastic place to visit. Special shout out to the manager Catherine, who was really welcoming and extremely accommodating to one of our group who's a bit of a picky eater!

On our booked Valentines visit, we arrival at 630pm we were seated in the entrance of the restaurant, clearly a table that was an 'add on' to squeeze in as many people as possible, which I can understand for late arrivals or customers that haven't booked! But it was only 630pm and the restaurant was quiet. Starters delicious, but several members of staff walked past our table (as it was the entrance) and didn't even notice we had finished our starter or offered to clear our table so when another waitress arrived with our Chateaubriand there wasn't any room for the food, my husband and I cleared and held up the plates until her hands were free! Plates arrived after with steak knife but no folks, so we had to call over a staff member. Had to call someone over to order a drink then call them back to clear the empty glasses, I appreciate these are small problems, but an accumulation over an hour was quite irritating and disappointing. That said, the food was delicious and steak was cooked perfectly, just a lack of attention to detail at front of house.
