Slow service, 2 staff members in and even though 4 people waiting one staff member was just tidying around. If someone had actually taken my order, or acknowledged me I might have actually waited in here. Poor service.

Ordered a vegan sandwich and was told that I'll will be served to my table in few minutes but waited for almost 20 mins until I asked them about it. The server realised that she forgot about it and served me a soggy roll which was sat in the microwave for all that time while also denying me a refund. P.S if it's too difficult to memorize all the order given how busy it gets and the human error nature of it , just get a TICKET MACHINE!!! for the items ordered.

This Caffè Nero is very dirty The toilets are dirty, the toilet brush containers are rusty. Generally it’s not clean. Lots of tables not wiped or cleared. They had a leak in October 2023 and the ceiling has a big hole. Today a man had a dog sitting on an armchair. I do not think this is right. I have seen it before and I feel the staff need to tell him NOT to put his dog on the chair or settee. It is a shame because a lot of the staff are nice but the standard here has changed drastically here. However Caffè Nero have made 3 price increases this year. Disgusting and Disgraceful.

I can’t say enough about the fabulous staff at Caffè Nero! The place is usually very busy with staff hardly having time to carry out all their tasks but the friendliness of the staff and their can-do and above-and beyond-attitude make this a very special place in Chapel Allerton. The coffee is, as you have come to expect from Caffè Nero, really good too!

Usually pretty busy even on weekdays. I needed to wait around 10mins at a till. Spacious shop and also there are plenty of outside seats. Toilets available too. I was impressed that they had so many cakes and snacks to choose from.

Lovely cafe with great service every time I come in! Kate, who was a trainee when I first asked her to make me a ice chai latte said she didn’t know how to as they didn’t serve it and just improvised. She offered to make it again if I didn’t like it but I loved it!! Turned out amazing! 10/10 😋

Staff lovely- great coffee. Short staffed - often 2 people . Long queues. Air conditioner not working. Toilets disgusting. Look of store outdated. Furniture- some chairs torn. Staff being showed at by customers due to long queues and waiting ( 15 mins approx) to be told x item nor available.staff not allowed to put a notice telling customers that equipment is broken eg hot water. Company need to change their policy - not fair that Staff are having to face anger due to companies decision!

Pull your finger out Caffè Nero a chain as large as this should employ enough staff to have someone cleaning up and making sure the cafe is presentable at all times. Called into the Chapel Allerton branch today where there appeared to only be two staff working. The seats were covered in crumbs and there were two pieces of cotton wool which looked like they had come out of someone’s ears, on the floor next to us. Other rubbish was also on the cafe floor. My friends spoon was grubby and one of our saucers was chipped. All in all other good enough for the prices you charge. The lad that was working also looked like he could do with an iron running over him.

Went to cafe Niro this afternoon. Haven’t been to one for ages. Was served by the most wonderful Jake. Friendly , with a fantabulous smile and courteous and an absolute energy.. It’ was lovely to have a young person who has the emotional intelligence and smile to ask how you are and do it with professionalism and care. Thank you Jake for serving us today and adding joy to our day.

Bought two panini’s cheese and ham amongst other things I could have eaten a slice of bread and butter and it would have had more taste to it cheese was sparse infact that sparse I couldn’t see any, ham was sliced so thin if I had ripped an hair from my head I could hide the ham behind it Only plus is the latte so if your thinking of ordering food from here i wouldn’t bother.

I am very disappointed and put off by my recent visit to this cafe nero branch I visited with friends one of whom Is disabled with visual impairment. I was conveying the disabled friends order to the staff member on shift Georgia. She was rude and impatient. There was no queue and we were the only customers at the till that time. She Misunderstood the order which i had to clarify. She snapped to ask me -is that regular or large ?whilst reaching for the regular sized cup.i confirmed the order as a large.Beyond this point, her whole demeanor was rude, looking out of the window whilst preparing the drink, her face was off her tone was off and she didnt speak to me again, rather than speak to me about the additional orders she spoke to her colleague who stepped in and he served me. I ordered three different drinks in total. In fact my large latte was half full so more like a regular drink. The experience was very underwhelming. The demeanour and attitude of this one staff member Georgia ruined my whole cafe Nero experience. We sat for a short time and left feeling terrible. Awful customer service

I was served by Louise who did a fantastic job of taking our orders and letting us have time to decide what we wanted. Louise had a calm manner which put us at ease. As the queue got bigger later on she was great at letting us have our spot and time and not rushing us. Wonderful

I have had a shocking experience in my local cafe Nero which I visit multiple times a week. I was uncomfortable with the way she spoke to a member of staff and found it very patronising. She then tried to justify this by advising it was his first day back after several months. I then replied that regardless I would always ensure I was respectful and polite to my colleagues. She then became very annoyed and was huffing and puffing around which made me feel very uncomfortable. I then asked Simones colleague for the cake at the back of the cake stand as that one looked particularly yummy! She then abruptly interrupted to check which cake I wanted and advised “that would be the one I would be getting anyway because they are in date order” I again found this rude and unprofessional to speak to a customer in this way. I was extremely embarrassed and upset for both myself and her colleague. When I was paying I decided to ask her colleague for her name as I wanted to let head office no about this shocking experience. Simone must of overheard and charged over stating “my name is Simone and I am the manager”. I’m not sure why she wanted to let me no she was the manager? Or if this was her way of justifying her unacceptable behaviour. I was very confused as to why she stated this. Cafe Nero has always been my first choice as I love the coffee and atmosphere here, however sadly from now on I will be visiting the Starbucks next door in future.

I have never received such poor customer service in my life. As I was in the que I noticed that the manager Simmone, was being extremely rude to her collegaue, and was speaking to him in a very oppressive and derogatory manner. This made me feel very uncomfortable to say the least. Simmone was unhappy with how abu was serving the customers, and advised him that he was to slow, this was addressed in front of the customers. I found this was very unprofessional and felt the matter should have been discussed in private. Abu was clearly uncomfortable and under pressure. This was evident as he then apologised to me and said "sorry this is my first day back in five months". I reassured him that he could take as long as he needed. I then asked abu for a cake, and requested one at the front, due to the others being broken. At this point Simmone aggressively turned around and said "good that's the one you would have got anyway". I was shocked by this confrontation and felt quite embarrassed. I asked Simmone why she was dictating which cake I could have, this seemed very unusual. Simmone said this was because "the others were frozen". It concerned me that frozen cakes were on sale. I felt this was an excuse to disguise Simmones controlling behaviours. Simmone then proceeded to be confrontational with me. At this point I asked for her name, as I was planning to contact head office. Simmone replied " I am the manager". I had to clarify that I did not ask her job role, I asked for her name. Simmone then sarcastically apologised, whilst laughing to herself, and muttering under he breath. I feel extreme empathy for anyone who has her as a manger, if this is how she speaks to her colleagues, in front of customers, I can only imagine what goes on when no customers are present. I am of a view that Simmone needs to go on a management course, this will enable her to enhance her communication skills, management skills, and ability to manage complaints in a professional manner.

The most pathetically experience ever. I've order a mocha frappe and the price was 3.70 pounds I've been asked if I want cream on top and i said yes. When it was time to pay i paid 4.30 due they charge the cream without warning is going extra or been seen anywhere in the price table. Nowhere in the world they dont charge the cream. 2.79 is the larger mocha frappe in Macdonald's no extra charges or hidden ones. So now you know if you wanna safe nearly 2 £ where do go. As far as the service is like hiding from the customers with these prices.

Usually very friendly staff but today I've been humiliated and embarrassed by a staff member loudly calling me distrusting in front of other customers, for giving my dog water from a glass, then he made an elaborate gesture of throwing the remaining water across the pavement,calling me further names. They welcome dogs and dog owners money but do not provide water for canine guests. I feel totally embarrassed and would avoid this Nero in the future. This would be the same member of staff who told my teenage son he had beautiful eyes, which he found embarrassing also.

Went for the first time for my son's birthday to give him a treat. The atmosphere was the first ick, sadly. Using outdated fabrics and an odd table and booth layout. And during a time they should have been busy, we were one of only a few. For much of our time, we were alone. Their cold stone for the ice cream was severely broken, and it looked like it was filthy, or sludge, coming out from under it. Only positive for the atmosphere is the display of all the sweets. They did look really good. Tables had empty dishes on them while the girls in the back didn't look very busy. The one was polite and apologetic, and didn't seem to know much about what was available or not. The other was quiet. For food....sub-par. Taste was alright, brownies for the fondue were really good aside from being a bit old/dry on the edges. They were out of half of the things we asked for. Many of the drinks, including OJ, were missing. We had to go to their cooler ourselves to see what they had, which wasn't much. Same when ordering, I ended up not getting anything for myself and had to modify my son's chocolate fondue order because they didn't have enough cookies for the order. This place has potential. If they modernized it, make it more sleek and professional to match the style of the menu, deep cleaned, updated their equipment, and actually trained their staff, and had better product management....this place could be a hot spot easily.
