Full of drug dealing kids who became aggressive when I refused to purchase from them keep well clear, apparently they were moved on from black swan.

Nothing special. Pint okay but have tasted better. Nice staff but no atmoshere. Room lay out cramped around the bar . Biggest space taken up by a pool table. Had a qucick pint and moved on.

Called for a drink and had a very good welcome. Lovely atmosphere, well priced and very friendly pub. Would always go back.

Arrive to find a well established pub with a really charming feel, a thirst for a cold Guinness poured by a delightfully stunning lady with jet black hair. My apologies for my memory as faces are better than names(man syndrome). Was delighted to chat with a number of people, including the other side. Much appreciated to all for your hospitality and I look forward to returning. :-)

Nice staff and a good if not old fashioned ambience. The lager was nice. The predominance of wood gave an antiquated charm. Wont be going back though

Stopped by just for a drink as we were visiting Ripon. Traditional pub popular with locals but felt welcome. There is a beer garden at the back when the weather's better too.

We drank here whilst staying in an apartment two houses away. We sat in the beer garden (overlooking the car park). Heading inside to order, the bar was a typical working bar, with snooker table and people enjoying a drink after work. There was a varied selection of beer, albeit the pricing was less than keen. Later during our stay, we headed elsewhere....

Only stopped in twice for a quick drink, and sat both times in the beer garden. Beer was fine; staff seemed friendly; beer garden was paved, but had good seating and Sky Sports on the outside TV.

We love this pub whenever visiting Ripon and always return. The landlords are welcoming and it is evident very popular with locals too. Good facilities too and for those hot summer days the beer garden is not deprived of a TV for those wanting to watch sport.

Called in for a drink on recommendation of locals whilst staying in ripon last Friday. Lots of people enjoying themselves at the karaoke and definitely no sign of black Friday going on here. Friendly staff and locals

Called in during a visit to see family. A very lively locals pub, with a warm welcome for strangers like me! The pub keeps a good cellar from what I could see, and whilst I had moved on elsewhere, karaoke was the main entertainment for the evening. Will definitely call again.

Excellent Overnight Stay. Room was very very cosy and clean. Bed very comfortable. Breakfast continental left in room was more than we expected. Well presented and extremely good. Shame we could not stay longer. Hosts were really friendly.

After going in and out of many pubs wine places and eateries on Saturday night the lamb and flag was our last stop and by far the best. Although not many people in at first 9pm we were told it would get busier and it did. The karaoke started around 10ish and it was lots of fun to watch people having fun and enjoying themselves. Drinks a bit pricy though!

Just had a traditional sunday lunch here. What a load of garbage. Beef was shredded, roast spuds were WHITE and soggy, the gravy was brown water. Avoid it. Even charged me full whack for 2 childrens meals.

Knaresborough, The Crown. We were there. Early on a Friday morning we popped in for breakfast. As you do. It’s what Wetherspoons is for. Two traditional breakfasts and two coffees. Easy. Toast, bacon,
