Otra buena visita. No suelo dar una crítica repetida tan parecida a una anterior pero esta vez tuvimos tan buena sopa, con un servicio excelente y amable, que pensé que se merecían una. Una cosa que no me gustó del café fue que muchos de los sándwiches estaban en brioche, lo que me parece demasiado dulce y endeble (la misma crítica se aplica a muchas de las grandes cadenas de comida rápida también), pero tal vez servirían en pan normal si lo pidiera amablemente! He visto críticas en las reseñas del café “amargo” - me pareció fuerte y muy sabroso, pero no amargo, y volveré por más. Había dos sopas en la Junta Especial y ambas eran excelentes. Mientras esperábamos nuestra comida, navegamos por los estantes y encontramos casi 40 libras en regalos de Navidad. Al llegar a casa, comparé los precios de los regalos con los proveedores en línea y encontré que Skelton Garden Centre era realmente competitivo. Bien hecho en general.

Similar to a previous reviewer, I thought the place was a bit disorganised. We arrived after 12 and ordered the soup. Took a while for someone to take our order, despite there only being only 6 other customers in the place at that point, and at least four waiting staff. Sat for another 20 mins with no soup coming and very little coming out to the tables to other diners. I measn, how long does it take to ladle out two soups, which I presume has been made in advance? In the end I went to the cashdesk and asked had they forgotten. Within 2 mins the soup arrived with apologies. The soup was delicious but as the cafe started filling up with lots of other customers (and very little activity from the staff) we decided to forego the dessert. Either there is only one poor person in the kitchen trying to cater for everyone, or the staff need better training. Sorry, but we won't be going back.

Popped in for a bite before work and noticed that it was filled with dirty tables which made me want to take away as i went to get my tuna sandwich i noticed a pair of scissors just lying there as i gave it to the guy working he looked completely clueless, once my food was cooked they picked it up with their hands!! and just shoved it in the packaging so when it came to eating it, most of the tuna and cheese was stuck to the top and it was not enjoyable. I wish I went back to complain and get my money back but I just didn't have time by then

El personal aquí es muy amable y servicial, y muy servicial también. Gran café también! Sí, muy buen café. Bonitas tostadas. Bien tostado 😀😀

Llamado a la cafetería outlet de diseño Nero, la bienvenida fue cálida y el servicio rápido. En general una muy buena experiencia y una buena taza de café. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Great to go in a pub with a great assortment of drinks, and relaxed atmosphere with no phones, tablets or television. Loved the straight talking lady Yorkshire lass behind the bar

I always buy the southern fried wrap. But was so shocked & disappointed with what i received that day. Service was not as good as usual either

Came here for cocktails but thought they were very average for the price I paid not many tables inside more outside. Friendly staff.

I was on a trip from London to York with my partner. We both got the vegan sausage roll as we are both vegiterian. My partner didn't eat hers I however finished mine. I have had the worst food poising the day after eating this. I am not sure how you give someone food poising from a vegan sausage roll but this place did it!

Not a bad spot for a drink but a bit noisy and crowded.

For a real glimpse of the dim and distant past wait till you savour the medieval aura of the dark ages in York's best kept secret. Take out your mobile phone and be afraid be very afraid. Dare darken the doors with a dirty snivelling child thing? instant decapitation! Fancy a sneer with your pint? you're in the right place my friend. Worth a visit just to see the carry on when some unsuspecting punter gets their phone out!

Esta es mi primera y última visita al nuevo look café. Ni siquiera cualquier menú, lo que para una persona discapacitada no es ideal. Fuimos a las 12. 15 pm, generalmente un momento muy ocupado del día cuando el café está lleno y hemos tenido que hacer cola. ¡El café estaba medio lleno! Deberíamos haberlo sabido. Nada de comidas calientes, simplemente sopa en una taza de papel. 'Slices'. Incluso el agua del grifo estaba en una taza de papel. Pienso en vertederos, pero M&S solo piensa en el dinero ahorrado por no pagar a los cocineros o camareras / camareros. Incluso la tetera de té era una taza de agua caliente con una bolsa de té flotando encima. Obviamente, las personas que tomaron estas decisiones nunca han visitado el café o trabajado allí!

The Roman Bath Pub is a great city centre pub that always a joy to drop into. This is a really interesting looking pub,interior is superb,an island style serving bar,great decor and furnishings,tv's to enjoy the sport and plenty of seating options,the most distinctive feature of the pub is the great artwork around the walls depicting scenes of Roman life alluding to the Roman museum in the basement ,it's a proper chill out pub. We were here on a Monday evening,pub was busy,we ordered John Smiths Brewery bitter ,served in pristine condition,we just kicked back and took in the great pub we were in. I enjoy a good bitter,a much underrated beer style but when served iced gold as in this pub it's a totally refreshing brew. We both really enjoyed our visit here ,only stayed for one each before we moved on. The Roman Bath Pub is easy to locate on St Sampsons Square. Opening hours are; Monday to Sunday,open from 11am. Well worth a visit if you're in the area.
