My favourite pub by a mile - staff and regulars are all fantastic, and it has the nicest beer garden with shelter, heat lamps, and fairy lights. Beers are always changing and the spirit of the week keeps my husband happy but I'm a wine purveyor myself đ· the ÂŁ1 sandwiches are perfect too!

We hired the garden shelter out for a baby shower and we all had a great time. The area was dressed so pretty and all the staff were really friendly. The beer garden and cocktail bar is really fantastic, will definitely be spending more days here on a sunny day. Me and some others stayed for the entertainment they had on in the big room that night. We saw a great drag queen. We loved how there was different areas for whatever vibe you fancied. It all felt very inclusive. weâre already looking forward to returning for the grease and dirty dancing night in August.

Visit the cafe reasonably often. Good food and coffee at a good price, pleasant staff. May be a good idea to pre-book at busy periods then again post Covid - who knows?

Picked a visit to the Trooper on a spur of the moment for somewhere new to try for Saturday lunch & didn't regret it. A proper non-chain pub, great food at a decent price, and friendly staff. The only thing I could moan about is that it's not closer to my house ! 5â

Three of us went in and ordered; two desserts came out first slightly cold whilst we waited ages for the third to be constructed we complained as we went in to eat as a family hoping to eat together. At the end we were given a feeble apology and a really very small discount for the inconvenience I would not recommend this place the photos looked better than reality.

Popped in for a chill, do a crossword and get a coffee and cake. Nice menu if I had been looking for more than coffee and cake. Had a mocha and lemon cheesecake. The cake was delicious with a very nice tang of lemon. Mocha nice and chocolatey. Oh the prices were very reasonable too đ. Weather had picked up so I sat in the courtyard. Excellent choice as it was sheltered and warm enough to be comfortable. Well looked after by all of the front of house team đ. Very peaceful and relaxed. Thank you.

Only a small coffee shop but well presented. The staff were youngsters but went about their roles in an efficient and friendly manner. Only popped in initially to have just a coffee whilst shopping and before sunday dinner. However, the scones on display were just too inviting. Jam & cream? Why not. They didn't dissapoint.

Whilst the negative reviews about slow service and the really annoying serving window system in the rain and cold are all very true I have to say this place serves consistently the best breakfast sandwiches around. The sausages are traditional pork breakfast sausages not those white tasteless ones you get at a lot of sandwiches shops and cafes now. The bacon is always crispy and never overly salty and the mushrooms are superb and properly sautĂ©ed and not oily tasting or boiled. I must agree a large sandwich should have two eggs to be honest but this is and always will be myself and my work mates go to take away sandwich shop, itâs just a league above the rest.
