Great pub, definitely worth the visit. Very friendly staff and a large variety of different beer, ale and cider.

Great local pub with good beers on. Also has a range of board games you can grab and play for free.

Great pub for a pint or five with your friends. The food leaves nothing to be desired, especially the Wednesday special wings deal, but the pizzas are great too! The beers are very reasonably priced and they've got a great selection for all tastes. Banging service every time I've ever been there, the manager Charlotte is always a good laugh.

Beat pub in the city! Always welcoming, great beers on tap and so much going on to lift up the community. Would recommend popping in for a cheeky one!

Solía venir regularmente al Mono Ciego, ya que es nuestro local, sin embargo, desde que cambiaron de manos, las cosas parecen haber ido muy cuesta abajo. El pub estaba absolutamente vacío, y había tres miembros del personal sentados sobre el bar. Pedimos nuestras bebidas, y preguntamos si podíamos pagar en efectivo como siempre lo hemos hecho, pero nos dijeron que habían eliminado eso y lo convirtieron en un lugar solo en efectivo de manera defensiva. Lo cual no es genial para aquellos que llevan solo dinero en efectivo, siento que esto debería haberse anunciado en las plataformas de redes sociales. Pedimos medio cilindro de aspall, una pinta de Guinness, y un gin tonic doble que llegó a £ 17. 90 ! Al preguntar si podíamos servir la botella de tónico nosotros mismos obtuvimos una respuesta grosera y condescendiente, la funcionaria que nos atendía miró a su colega, le dio una mirada sucia a nuestra pregunta y procedió a imitar lo que habíamos preguntado mientras nos reíamos. Esto nos hizo sentir estúpidos y desagradables en el lugar que nunca hemos sentido antes. Después de esto, el Guinness era plano y acuoso, que no era potable. En general, no volveremos aquí debido al frío servicio que recibimos - que es extremadamente desafortunado ya que es nuestro local.

I visited this pub and found it to be a fantastic venue. They have a range of ales and craft beers which are kept very well. If you like your beers this is definitely a pub to visit. I also had a pizza while I was there which was very nice. Charlotte the manager is very friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable about the beers. Her dog is also very friendly and a nice addition to the relaxed atmosphere of the venue. Would definitely visit again. The pub has something for everyone and is a great place to spend time. Response to venues response to original review : Thank you for your response to my review. Only too happy to give a proper detailed review when I've had such quality service. Although I must point out in relation to Charlotte : I visited on 31/12/23 and I believe that the Charlotte in question has since left. As far as I know she took the pub dog with her. I can't vouch for any new Charlotte you have since employed. I'm not saying she isn't also decent but as you can imagine I wouldn't want to give credit to the wrong person. I would have to visit again to see if the new Charlotte is as good as the old one. She has big shoes to fill that's all I'm saying. If I do come back I will post another review of my findings as and when.

Skinny little boy seems to act like he owns the place, would be a nice place for a drink but he runs around like he’s just got a like on tinder for first time. Nice place otherwise.

Friendly staff and nice punters. Plenty of TVs if wanting to watch sport.

Had Pie and mash here with family. Very good quality and tasty. Always a good selection of beers and a nice atmosphere with friendly service . Would definitely recommend.

Went for Pie Thursday, great food and good choice of beers. Service was very good and I had a couple of quality glasses of wine. Keep up the good work. We will be back.

The pub itself and the staff are lovely. Nice variety of things to do too. They do tell you you cant share food but nothing on their menus stateing this. Just verbally when you buy food. Should really be putting this in writing if this is a serious issue on menus (especially on Wing Wednesday for the Unlimited option).

Went for the rugby final was a great atmosphere and Jake is a good laugh also was rushed off his feet. WHAT A LAD!!

I can't recommend this place enough... there was a brilliant atmosphere, the friendliest staff, a wide variety of drink options (especially for the none boozy gals!) & super tasty food. Charlotte let us take over a little cosy nook of the pub to host a baby shower, we decorated and painted pots and had the best evening catching up with friends. The staff were so accommodating and welcoming which made a huge difference to our celebration. My friends that hadn't been before said it was the Sheffield pub they had been searching for as it has everything you could hope for in a cosy pub. Can't wait to come back soon! Thanks so much :)

Visited Makers Market in beer garden. Excellent choice of stalls and superb pint of ale. Will deffo visit again.

A hidden gem in Walkley with a fantastic beer garden with plenty of covered areas. Good selection of beers and wine; try some of the German pilsners on draught they are lovely! Inside the decor is fun and inviting; I am yet to discover what is downstairs behind the locked metal doors! Not had any food here before so can’t review the grub, but it ranks in my top 3 pubs in Walkley.

Called in Saturday night for a couple of drinks locally. Double spirit and mixer for 2 people, £26.60! Raven down the road £7 cheaper for the same AND a packet of crisps each. Lovely looking pub but come on support local??

Very disappointing visit after seeing excellent reviews which must be old ones. Not good range of beers, no hot drinks and poor food menu. Good beer garden but spoiled by several screens showing football so no quiet seating. Ok for football lovers I suppose

We had a wake at the pub today. Tuesday 11th April. Everything was perfect. I've never been their before but cannot fault the drink,food or service from the staff. Well done and thank you.

Lovely pub that is kept with pride. Loads of character, very olde worlde decor but new and clean, and a real fire. The food choice is limited, but the food is good so it's more than forgivable. Staff and customers seem very nice and the atmosphere is great.

The pub was quiet, which on a Sunday evening was welcome. Staff were friendly and engaging, we were all welcome even the ferrel child we brought with us. With a pleasant atmosphere I would recommend the blind monkey to anyone.

Stunning interior, can tell the owners spent a fortune doing it out and their attention to detail really paid off. Great environment for a cheap pint! Staff were welcoming and the garden out back is ace - made my brief stay in Sheffield all the more enjoyable.

I adore this pub. Whenever someone visits Sheffield for the first time, I always take them there. The interior is exceptional. And the rear beer garden is huge and much of it is under cover. The range of beers is ace. It's one of a number of fabulous pubs in Walkley and Crookes. It one of many reasons that makes living in Sheffield, as good as anywhere on Earth.

Fabulous friendly pub. The decor is amazing and has lots of cosy areas to sit. They have an amazing selection of spirits, and as a whiskey drinker was very pleased with their vast choice! They even do a take away service of real ales too!

Great service. Great beer. Had a slice of pizza which was great too. What more could you want. It was also the England v Scotland game, so it was busy. Really well handed by the staff. I'll be back and will recommend. Send to attract a lot of friendly customers too.

Booked to eat with five friends. Had a couple of drinks and then asked for a menu. Oh we have taken off the food. Asked if we could order food in from local pizza takeaway. A very blunt response. NO!!! Seriously this pub has no idea what good customer service looks like. You can't take bookings for food and then simply say no food this evening. Very disappointed and will not be returning.

Excellent pizza, great atmosphere, good choice of beer.

We arrived at the blind monkey and waited to be seen. It took them 5 minutes to check to see if there were any new customers outside (where the entrance is). The girl who served us was very stand offish; it seemed as though she really did not want to be working and she resented having to serve us. We sat outside as we have come from different households, yet the tables are not 2 meters apart and therefore not within the guidelines set by the government. The outside area is completely under a permanent Cover which is good, except there are people smoking outside and as a result the smoke is just wafting around the area. We waited 10 minutes to have Our orders taken even though the girl who seated us also was coming out to serve us. I will not be coming here again.

I cannot understand why anyone would spend the time, effort and money on creating such an amazing looking pub to go on to serve dishwater instead of coke. I ordered a rum and diet coke and when it arrived it was horrible. I presumed that the syrup was running low and said to the waiter the coke tasted weak. He told me it was the right colour but agreed to check. He came back and told me it wasn't and tried to go off. Before he went I managed to ask if it was real, he told me it wasn't real coke. No refund was offered and I couldn't be bothered to argue knowing I'd got a can of Pepsi in my bag knowing I could top it up with. I really wouldn't recommend here now. The cola they served is awful it was like the 40p cola you'd get in a working men's club and they weren't remotely bothered that they'd given me a horrible drink.

Wanted to go back in after the reopening, they put up signs and everything saying open til 11. Went in at 22:05 after eating out (on a Weds so you could have expect some traffic with the govt scheme) and they turned us and another couple away. I understand if they had staffing issues or whatever but they didn't say any of that, just decided they couldn't be bothered to stay open.

Great staff, great food and amazingly friendly locals. What more could I ask for....I can't wait to get back in for the Tuesday Quiz, Friday after work pints and Sunday random drinking sess! Mines a large Merlot but you knew that anyway!

Chicken wings are amazing but as soon as it gets busy they fall to pieces. Got 2 portions over 2 1/2 hours with an hour wait between each, then told we couldn't order any more because of how busy it had got.

Really quirky decor that makes for a cosy pub You can watch sport here but the screens are not obtrusive Food is excellent. Soulful American fast food done to a high standard. Goes perfectly work the excellent beer selection. Decent range of gins too Sometimes the bar is short staffed, so there can be a fair wait at the bar

This pub has a great atmosphere. Combine that with friendly staff and some of the best food I have ever tasted and it's a winning combination. Whether for a quick drink with your mates or a meal with your family it is totally worth checking out, I'm sure you'll not regret it

I love the way this pub has been rejuvenated, good beer choices and whilst I have not had the opportunity to try the food yet, it looks scrumptious

Only popped in for an early doors drink but a lovely spot with some great ales and a wonderful atmosphere! Snack menu looked interesting but not able to try at that time!
